Its the divisional headquarters of South Suburban Division, Kolkata Police. All the Police Stations under this divisional office works under the charge of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Suburban Division who makes his own office from here. All administrative and operational works of the division takes place from this good office. The Chief of the Division along with the officers and staffs are humble, dutiful and caring.
