This year the theme was average, the idol is pretty, but overall nothing out of ordinary. Can be missed easily....plus there is a long long walk between entrance and exist

One of the very unique ideas is to produce a sculpture of goddess in a very simple yet elegant manner .. this is wat this pandal has stick to this year in 2021 .. definately a must visit .. got very less rush as it was the third day of festival going on here.. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

This year it was good....little unsatisfied but its ok, cuz we all know its pandemic situation.

I visited on Sunday morning(Panchami) Durga Puja 2021. The Park is wide enough and the Puja organised is nice and has a lot of space for visitors.

A little bit taff to move for the blind people. But good place

Deshapriya Park puja is one of the kolkata s renowned pujas. Always over crowded , people pushing one another to enter the Park. This year picture was little different because of corona situation, big premises were almost empty - very few people was seen in the big premises. But this time I have got an opportunity to see Kumari puja on navami day ,I am so happy to see a little girl sitting like goddess- middle of the pandal & pujari was chanting mantras and the little goddess was worshipped. A very divine moment it was for me.

Lets be honest, the puja this year was fairly smaller and more subtle compared to other years, but it was beautiful kept and arranged. I couldnt believe my eyes, as the crowd was so perfectly well managed, there was hardly any overcrowding. My experience was fairly good, and I hope to have better ones in the upcoming years!

One of the Best Durga Puja in Kolkata. Came to highlight in 2015, when they made the biggest Durga idol in the world. After that they made the Idol with 1000 Hands. Each year they come with uniqueness. 2019s pandal was the best for me because of its detailed art and work. Love to visit here in Pujas.😍🙏

The Priya cinema is located beside this playground.As of June 2012 the park was shrinking day by day. Firstly it was encroached by a club and then a public toilet and a restaurant. Bonani Kakkar, a green activist reacted– Deshapriyo Park has been grabbed several times in the past. The forms of permanent constructions vary, but encroachment never stops. Now fresh encroachment is allowed in the form of a stage. The stage and sculpture was however inaugurated by the chief minister of West Bengal , Mamata Banerjee on the event of Language Day. On Feb.12, 2015 Mayor Sovan Chatterjee inaugurated Kolkatas first Grid Connected battery-less Solar Power street lighting system at Deshapriya Park.

One of the favourite destination for movie goers in Gariahat area this hall has inhouse cafeteria and drinks seating capacity is also large. This cinema is owned by the priyas cinema Pvt Ltd. After pandemic its open for now but people are still not coming at large crowds are still unavailable.Hope soon everything will be like before.

Its one of the most splendid locations to visit during Durga Puja. The idol has its own unique feature each year ranging from being gold plated to being the largest idol in the state. And otherwise its a park quite peaceful and serene.

Great place for a walk or for taking children for free rides. There is a childrens park inside the park. Which is well maintained and clean. In normal times stage functions are often performed.

Good place to hang out. Few of the best cafes and pubs around. Best time to enjoy in Durgo Puja. Especially the long walk from Gariahat to Kalighat
