Sold Neon Tetra fish for first time fishkeeping in an 8 plastic betta tank with plastic plants inside !!. I went to purchase a small fish tank for 5 year old, did not know much. I asked for guppy or betta or Molly. The salesman sold Neon Tetra saying he did not have any of the 3 fish but these glowing fish would be good. Either he did not know ( in which case he should not be working there) or he did it deliberately. It was a gift for my 5 yr old son. Bad shop, really bad.This is 3rd Day Morning and BOTH FISH DEAD. Mr Owner, I did not select them, Your employee were successful in selling them because I did not know about pet fish

Little Mermaid has widened my knowledge about fish keeping hobby. They do it not for business but with a motto to promote the hobby and they do it with passion. Whatever brand I can think of, I get it here. They have a wide variety of fish, both fresh and marine and all in top condition. They have really high end and expensive products, I agree, but they have more than plenty options for average budget customers like myself. I am glad that I have come across this shop.

Its like an Everything Store for all aquarium needs. Plants, marine, livestock, dry items...every nitty gritty is covered. From pricey brands like Eheim to basic fish foods such as live tubifex or Taiyo, it caters to every budget. If an items not available, the owner arranges it in a few days. Above all, theyre very reasonably priced, and Indranil is always polite and helpful. Five stars!

No doubt the owner is a good entrepreneur. He can sweet talk you to buy fishes which carry worms and thus affect your whole tank. We lost a good number of fishes because of that.

Excellent place to buy fishes....i got alot of fishes from here🇮🇳.I am a fish keeper and a few days back i bought a power filter and it was too powerful for my fishes so we called up the manager and he was so polite to replace it.also please keep the betta in a small 3 gallon tank cause the betta kept in the glass came in my aquarium and was very sad and was hanging around the top filter all the time.But yes i love this shop and i am in love with that silver arowana than was in the display a few days back.I am planning to buy an angelfish and more.....SUPERB PLACE👍🏻

The shop owner has a propensity towards pushing infected fishes. Any goldfish, exotic or otherwise , needs to be quarantined before introduction to the main tank. Additionally, the owner employ staffs who are keen on being harsh with the fishes. No complaints regarding pricing, fishes were appropriately priced.

When we pointed out about the infected fishes they became absolutely so rude and defensive with us!!Learn to accept your mistakes dude! Be sorry and engage in customer relationship management. This is one of the best one stop shop for aIl freshwater aquatic creatures and aquarium needs (I am saying aquatic creatures because this shop has a lot more collection than just aquarium fishes),the best collection in kolkata. I have being visiting this shop for the past 1 year.. The owner is very honest, straightforward and very knowledgeable about fishes and various aquatic creatures , he is also extremely kind and humble person. The shop has wide range fish and exotic aquatic creatures and in my every visit I have seen new and wide range of collections. As I can further see a lot of fake reviews from fake customers (mostly local competitors in the area who are running out of business as this shop is very popular and successful), who i guess have never being to the shop ever and want to misguide people, hence are clueless as to what and how much rubbish they are writing, I request readers not to trust the fake negative reviews and I urge you to go and see the shop and its owner, by yourself, you can even call him, he is very approachable. Regarding the cost of fishes, i found the price satisfactory as compared to the premium quality of the aquatic creatures, this shop provides. The helpers in this shop have good knowledge and are very careful and gentle while handing the fishes and exotic aquatic creatures. Among all the pet stores in the area, please refrain from going here at all costs. Unless you really like their rude and defensive behaviour. You wont believe their audacity to behave so badly with us when we pointed out that they are negligent about the fishes when we went to take home some of them. Poor hygiene and absolutely improper care of the poor living beings inside! Dont, I repeat, DONTever step inside this shop unless you like bad services.

Defining two truths together. One way its about life full of stress, worry and getting a cool aquarium may be a great way to relax! Another way its about love towards your pets, plants. Its like your baby when they are growing, happy & healthy. Its about your felling when you care for them, at the same time you feel sad when they are in stress. Its all about love I would say. Im so sorry if i not able to express my feelings about them. I need to say all this before i write this review because of reason for sure.However, Its being couple of years now I know this particular place and the owner very closely. Let me talk about my 1st day - I was so amazed at the care was given to make sure my stuffs are in good shape in terms of packaging. I appreciate those people who cares for their customers from their heart not from their mind. Yes its about business but business does not mean it cant be done from heart, Little Mermaid is the live example in front of everyone.In terms of products they have amazingly beautiful collection of brands small to big. You just name it Little Mermaid will get it. Im more into plated aquarium hobby so my most of the products are related to planted stuffs. Moreover, every single time I got top notch quality products whether its plants or fishes, other planted stuffs or normal aquarium goodies they are healthy, happy and more importantly good in terms of price. I would say incomparable price and quality whatever store we have in here trust me on this.Now let me come to the owner of the shop - I called him as dada but i somehow get to know he is younger than me ;) But I will still call him dada. Very poor condition, the fish died within days after I purchased them. Not recommended at all. And this is not an isolated incident, my neighbor had the same experience few months back.

All fishes are healthy and taking food properly in my tank. Stuffs are also very good and helpful in nature, because they helped me to select the fishes for my tank and informed me properly about their nature and feeding habits. Fishes are packed very carefully and oxygen also added externally in packet for safety.I recommend my friends and others to visit this shop atleast one time, to change their poor thoughts regarding pet shops, they experienced before and make their aquarium gourgous. This shop is may be one of the best in Kolkata, but the best pet shop in South Kolkata.

Its the best pet shop in kolkata with the so many varites of exotics and rare fishes....The owner of this shop is very polite and gentlemen...A person who doesnt know anything about aquariums this guy and his team will guide that person so beautifully...I am owning 8 aquariums and Im in this hobby for the past 10 years... Not only the owner his teammates are also good in behaviour... They take care the fishes and aquariums like a mother takes care his children but there are so many peoples who doesnt know anything about aquariums and fishes but behaving like they all know about fishes and that guys slander about the shops and fishes....They even pack the fishes very carefully with the oxygen.....You can find fresh and salt water both the fishes....Many peoples defame that the prices of the fishes is so high and the fishes arent quarantined I must say they doesnt know anything about fishes and doesnt visit other pet shops because its quite easy to understand that the fishes are quarantined or not.... If the fishes swim so well and bodyshape and body is proper and taking the foods immediately thats mean the fish is fully quarantined....If the fish die in someones aquarium thats mean his aquarium conditions isnt proper to keep fishes....There are so people who says that Little mermaid takes prices of fish so high and the condition of fishes not so good sorry to say that they doesnt any idea on fishes and its price....They can only defame the shops and the owners...So at the end again I say Little Mermaid is the best pet and aquarium shop in kolkalta.... All the fishes are well quarantined which helps us to get healthy fishes. If you are planning to get an aquarium and need assistance on anything just visit the store !!Price is also fair and valid .
