We just moved close by and tried this based on the reviews - it was amazing! So happy to have this restaurant close by and we will definitely be ordering again. I had the non vegetarian thali which was amazing value and every bite was delicious - the Rogan josh was my favourite.

Firstly compliments to the chef’s lovely food and well priced I got it directly from there website every thing was delicious also I was pleasantly surprised by the complimentary dips best curry I have had since I lived in east London and that was in 2012 I moved here will be ordering from here again in the near future or popping in for meal thanks again

The worst place Ive ever been. Im Indian. I know what good dosa is. They dont even understand what it is. Putting cheese inside a normal dosa is unacceptable. Its a vegan dish. Yet the served it with cheese. So expensive too. When i collected it they looked like they didnt have a clue. No serving daal or chutneys. Food looked like it was swept off the floor. AVOID.

Im south indianand made the mistake of ordering dosas from here, whcih tasted like cheese, plus sambar was sweet. Insanity! I think ive never left an online review before, but this was so bad it needed reviewing.Got a refund via deliveroo in the end, so higher rating

This is a hidden gem in MildMay with an outside garden - amazing al fresco in the summer & with a roof & heaters if it rains! A brilliant curry house with lovely service.

I regularly get takeaway from here and eat in now and again. Food is excellent, one of my favourite in London. I’m vegetarian also and they’re very accommodating to veggies and vegans. Also it’s remarkably priced for the quality. Massively recommend. The people who work there are great too. V friendly.

Great local Indian restaurant and extremely reasonable. 4 of us had a great meal here for less than £10 each. Was particularly impressed when a neighbouring tables child started screaming and having a tantrum (which the parents ignored), the waiter went over and had a word. Have never seen that before in any restaurant but was extremely grateful. Will definitely be coming back many times.

Amazing food, friendly staff, great prices and BYOB.... They have a garden out the back too, which is a sun trap, and has heaters for the winter. Seriously... The only reason not to come here, is because the hand dryers dont work... But then they put out some paper towels... So no excuses.

Had a wonderful meal last night with my friends. Just walked in and we ordered our food from the menu. Only to our surprise, the staff told us that they had a special banquet night, where you can have a set menu for £9.95! Food was ever so delicious and filling. A great local indian which always paves the way to a successful dining experience.

Ive lived in Newington Green for 13years and walked past this place countless times and just never went in. Tonight however a friend and I decided to use this for our dinner and catch up. For their Tuesday £10.95 per head banquet deal we werent expecting brilliant food but how wrong we were. The food is delicious fresh and delightful. We will be back

A nice cozy restaurant to eat in. Standard Indian menu, well cooked. A good local curry, but often difficult to get through on the phone & for some reason they dont have a way to order online. I would order more often & give 5 stars if they did!

Absolutely lovely food! Decor needs to be updated, but despite this you will enjoy every mouthful, the staff are really friendly, you will need to bring your own alcohol as they dont have a licence to serve these drinks.

Although it took a while to arrive, the food was delicious. I think we found our new Indian restaurant. Plenty to choose from if youre veggies like us. Also, cheap and generous.

I use to eat in here years ago. Its a nice restaurant with friendly staff. I will go to have a meal in here. I collected 4 keema nan breads to take home and we really enjoyed it. Fresh with a little spice and mince meat was nice inside.thank you suruchi. Look forward to eating in here.

Food is very nice. We order in alot or we collect. We cant see ourselves eating inside the restaurant. Its not the staff the staff are good its just the vibe of the restaurant its self. Theres no attention to the decor of the place. The green walls I just cant. I wish they spent a little time on revamping the place up get more people coming in and actually sitting there to eat not just setting there waiting for their take away to be ready. I would rate this place higher but the decor is just letting it down for me

Only had this as a takeaway as many Indian restaurants in Hackney are awful.If youre a Vegetarian this place is absolutely wonderful!So cheap and such generous portions with quality taste and perfect temperature.I am looking forward to visiting this restaurant in the near future.Humble business and kind staff.Good old fashioned customer service wins again! Suruchi ticked all the boxes I could think of when eating a curry out in London. First of all, the hosts/waiters were very helpful and polite which was particularly refreshing. The menu is a good balance between typical curries one would find and more interesting dishes, nonetheless, all are very tasty, full of flavour and can be cooked to your heat tolerances which is a plus. The most astounding thing about eating at Suruchi however was that even though each of us had a starter, plenty of main course, a dessert and wine to drink (and some dishes added in on the house!), the total bill came to about £17 per head which is very reasonable at todays prices. All in all a very nice place to eat.

Standard Indian menu, but all fresh and done really well, been coming here since the 90s. Great welcome and service overall, lucky to have this place in the neighborhood.Best of all - and not mentioned in any of the reviews Ive seen - theyve got a great little garden out the back, we were in there with the kids on Saturday evening, it is a pretty strange experience at first to eat curry in the garden (you expect a dark room with flock wallpaper?), but deffo a great choice for this time of year, especially as its BYOB, too! We were treated poorly. No napkins. Poor customer service. The person serving was rude. Food took over an hour and a half.Portions were too small ( lacked flavour) and cost way more than where i would get food.Dont waste your time going here!Disappointing overall. I will not be coming back

Very good fresh Indian food. Organised a surprise Birthday party for boyfriend, the evening was lovely and the staff were patient and attentive. Weve been a few times and I would recommend it to all.

I may be a little bias because I used to come here with my father when I was around 5 or 6, but the food is still amazing, the staff still recognised me and the place has hardly changed. So great to re-live fond memories!

This is my local curry house and I thought Id give it a go. Lovely food, decent price, small portion size, BYOB! The place kind of reminded me of a Romanian prison with its bleak beige décor, however the staff were friendly enough and had us seated immediately with a fresh batch of crisp poppadoms. We ate as a group of 3 late on a Thursday night. As we were finishing our mains, the music gradually got quieter and the lights dimmed, the staff proceeded to put on their coats and cagoules and stand around us in complete silence. It was very unusual, albeit very funny. Will return.

Ordered Dosa and some South Indian food. Poor taste. Sambar and chutney was horrible.

Wow. Im eating the best lamb pasa de regalar Ive ever had. It was a better price than Im used to too. The lamb is tender. I will go back for sure, even tho Im moving further away right now. Nice people inside too!

Booked this based on the other reviews. Although we were the only table , the food took forever. When it eventually arrived, the portions were measly, although quality ok. Might be fine for take away or delivery but forget about a meal out.

Indian food does not taste like this at all. The chicken here was like rubber. The Sev Puri was dipped in cold curd and lots of salt. The biryani was tasteless.No alcohol although they allow you to bring your own.
