As a traveler I frequently visit park street restaurants. And bar b q is one of my favourite. But due to the large queue in bar b q like ration shop we visited the restaurant name one step up recommended by the guards of bar b q .the same day we have visited Roxy but only 4 or 5 people were present at Roxy that time and sone of the middle aged men stalking us because my wife wear a hot bodycon dress. So after taking two beers we decided to go normal restaurant for dinner so we visited bar b q then one step up but the old waiter in one step up forced us to take starters but as we are frequently visited some of the restaurant in saltlake and parkstreet like beyzaa ,Redexpress, sly fox gastro club, moulin rougue for last three days continuously we decided only to take main course with beer, but one old waiter from from one step up shows very strange attitude towards us.my suggestions to all of the customers never visit this restaurant if your are an outcomers.they only serve best to the people who are taking only one beer and spend lots of Times dont want to buy two beers for two persons.very rougue behaviour by waiters.....I will not recommended any one to visit this restaurant....rest is yours choice...
Perfect place for Continental food, Good portions of food , Nice Ambience , Food is very tasty........ the best in town, Great service ..... stewards are very polite & pleasant guys. Also a nice placed to grab a quick burger/chips better than those branded takeaways in town. TRY the Non veg ceasers salad, excellent..👍👍
Loved their menu and service! Lip-smacking continental dishes with authentic cooking and presentation makes this place happy-go-indulge destination in Park Street. Do try them once you have tasted Peter Cat, Mocambo etc. All the continental non-veg dishes are priced between 300 and 400.They have good number of cocktails too!
The waiting time was for around 20min as it was Sunday. Now we were seated on 1st floor and the order taking gentleman was a little weird in behaviour, the water glass that we were served was removed 3 times as there was a rotten smell coming from inside, the food was excellent no doubt... Even the service was good but could have been better if they look into small small things.. last to last visit everything was perfect. Thank you team
Nice place to chill after your office hours... Food taste is supeerb... Nice ambience. Staffs are really good. Overall a must visit place for continental food lovers.
Amazing food. Family ambience. Everything tastes very good. Service takes a bit time but it is all worth.
Great continental food. The Chinese dishes are so so. Do try the seafood rissotto, Fish Diana and chef special lamb. The quantity is also huge. One dish will comfortably feed two
If you want to grab in for some chit chats and nibbles then this is the place. Budget friendly with good options in Chinese. Drinks too are not overpriced
Amazing food and amicable service. One of my favorite places. Do try fish Florentine here
One of the best places to hit if you like continental cuisine is One Step Up at Park Street... with an affordable menu seeking to satiate the taste buds of students on a budget. Their chicken fingers, combined with french fries, at 260 rupees is just scrumptious. Their bar menu is pretty extensive too, suitable to anyone aiming to try alcohol.
The staff was incredibly rude and the food for not upto to the mark. The ambiance was not great either. The place is dimly lit and is noisy. Wouldnt ever make the mistake of step foot again in one step up. The one star was given because given none isnt allowed.
The quality has massively deteriorated. We ordered grilled prawns, khowsuey and chicken Corden bleu. The prawn was undercooked and stale therefore it was smelly, the spinach served with it was also not well prepared and had a pungent taste. The khowsuey quantity was good but Ive tried khowsuey earlier here and it tasted amazing but this time something just didnt feel right. However the chicken Corden bleu tasted just decent. I was very disheartened with their preparations
Great food, good ambience, courteous staff. The chicken pizza was absolutely delicious! Thin crust, right amount of cheesy and ample bacon on top. You can choose any one from the list of non-veg toppings. The amount is more than sufficient.
Located right next to Flurys at Park Street, One Step Up is a no frills restaurant, spread over two floors, with a reasonably well-stocked bar – quite popular with the office crowd during lunch hours. The menu largely comprises the city’s trademark continental fare – their chicken tetrazzini and chicken sicilliene (whole breast of chicken in a mushroom-laden white sauce, topped with asparagus) are particularly popular. They have a small selection of North Indian specialties, but this place is known for continental food, stick to it.
Good food. Crowded at lunch time. 50% seating norm not being followed
The quality of food has definitely deteriorated over the course of years, staff is courteous. Good service.
One of the best restaurants for continental food lovers in kolkata! Located in the heart of parkstreet. Its serves great cocktail and alcohol options. Havent tasted any average dishes here so far! Decent seating area and interior. Staff are welcoming and warm.P.s. They do not levy service tax post-covid.
Good Place for a Get Together.Settled right at the heart of Park Street, it is more than a mere cafe.Ambience. 3/5. Nothing overdone, nothing left. As simple as it should be.Food and Beverages. 4/5. Value for Money. There is scope of improvement, but overall a pleasant gastronomic experience.Service. 5/5. The waiters are adequately equipped to help you decide the menu, and ensuring you enjoy a sumptuous meal.To conclude, hit the place with for a nostalgic get together or a hang out with your friends and you won’t regret it.
The food was delicious. Hospitality is great.Cost for two is around 2000/-
Great place, great food, and very good quantity. My favourite place hands down for continental, although they do serve North Indian, Chinese, Thai as well. My picks would be Chicken Tetrazzini and Khowsuey; the former a very cheesy dish - recommended if you are a cheese lover. There are other dishes too all of which are excellent, but these two make me come back each and every time.
Good quality continental food is served here. Waiters were more like hosts. Enjoyed every bit of the dining experience here.. we will recommend this place to all friends and family.
8 am very pleased to have visited One Step Up after a long time due to the Covid pandemic. The food was excellent as and the ambience is great as usual. Thanks & Regards. Satish Kohli
Wow....... Beautiful ambience...... superb quality of food.....&...…behaviour......n..... price is very reasonable 👌👌👌👌
I had visited this place a few days back with my sister and I must say I was really disappointed about the behavior and service that we revived here. The server who was serving us the food did it in a clumsy way. When we were eating our lunch we were told that it was their closing time and we have to leave so we told them to pack our food and asked for the bill. While we can down we saw there we still people setting downstairs and eating. Now my question is that is there a time when they close both the seating area or is there a time when they close the upper seating area, and of their is a time of closing they should have mentioned it before hand to us. And they asked us to up stairs as there were no seats available in the ground floor. There serve was poor and I must say they were rude. You just cant ask a paying customer to leave while they are in the middle of finishing their food without letting them know about your restaurants timings before hand or before you take their order in the beginning. The food was ok but the service was horrible. I would give this restaurant 0 starts if the option was there. Never have I faced this kind of behavior and this kind of horrible service at any restaurant.I would never suggest and I would rather ask all my friends and others not the visit this place.
#OneStepUpParkStreet was the only eatery on #Parkstreet that i never got an opportunity to visit for reasons unknown to me till last Thursday when i had an epic dinner out there and fell in love with this place during my first visit itself..This place is certainly a #darkhorse amongst all the traditional big culinary names at Parkstreet - simple & minimalistic decor - lighting is too dim for my preference - service is better than most other eateries on that stretch but there is still room for improvement for sure.. Pricing is pretty reasonable especially if you take into account the humungous quantity of food served per portion..Now, coming to the most important and best part of the story - #FOOD..We were simply blown away by both the starters we tried - #DevilledCrab & #PrawnCocktail - i have had both these delicacies at multiple eateries till date but i can bet that you get the best versions of both at this particular food joint - they truly justify the name and have to managed to take both these delicacies #OneStepUp from what you get anywhere else in the city - the cheesy crabmeat or the cold cocktail sauce full of prawns (not shrimps as you get in most other places) was simply to die for - cant wait to go back and enjoy them again at the earliest opportunity.. 😍We also had #FishSteak (bhetki) & #ChickenFaconDuChef (Chicken stuffed with Cheese) for main course and they too were a delight to our tastebuds.. It was too much of food though for two average eaters to consume.. #CaramelCustard was the usual story - a good note to finish an awesome dinner..This place is indeed a #MUSTVISIT - give the traditional big food brands on Parkstreet a miss and drop in here if you havent already - you wont regret a bit is all i can say.. 🙏🤝P.S: Thank you all for being a part of our #KolkataFoodTrotters (Facebook/Instagram) family - our #2ndBirthday celebrations will be incomplete without your presence - see you all on #19thJan - #BOOKNOW ❤️❤️🎂🎂
We have been there yesterday.ambience is okayish.staffs are courteous, well mannered but not all of them.At first We ordered starters and decided to order main course a bit later.but one of the staff came and took the menu card.I told him to wait we will order the main course in a bit.But he told us that when we will order then he will gave it to us again.the restaurent was not full but dont know why he was doing so.now coming to the food we ordered~🔷️Chicken tikka quesadilla-5/5🔷️Herby Chicken Wings-3.5/5🔷️Chicken Cordon Bleu-4.5/5🔷️Grilled Fish-5/5🔷️Fresh Lime Soda-4/5🔷️Caramel Custard-4/5Our total bill was 1612.I found it a bit over priced.
This place is famous for continental delicacies. Its situated at Park street, very near to Flurys. Ive visited several times and tried various dishes like cordon bleu, chicken lasagne, chicken tetrazzini, chicken Tikka Quesadilla, lamb bolognese etc. Loved their quality and quantity of food. Service was good and ambience is great too! Do visit and enjoy your meal.
Devilled crabs, Khaw Swey... To die for!
Parking- Not availableWaiting- Comfortable on weekdays.Menu- Easy to comprehend.Drinks- Really good.Food- Too good with filling portions and nice flavours. Must try!!Service- Very good👍👍👍
Very nice and clean place. Good food.
The food was very good and the quantity of each dish was incredible.
Excellent Oriental & Continental Restaurant on Park Street.....Pocket Friendly......
Small but nice place with courteous staff. Quality, quantity and taste of food is also standard. Overall its a decent place to hangout with friends and family.
Slow and lethargical hospitality with lackadaisical approach from staffs
We ordered Devilled crab, Chefs special chicken steak and Shepherds pie.. While the chicken and crab were absolutely delicious the Shepherds pie was surprisingly very disappointing. It literally tasted like tomato puree. Service and portions were very good and prices were also quite generous. I would recommend everyone to try out this restaurant atleast once but try not to order the Shepherds pie🙃
First time to visit Kolkata and India. Our friends brought us in this restaurant and we really liked the food. We have been in several restaurants but my husband thought that one step up have the best cheese naan. We have been in this place probably 4 times. Clean and nice and staffs are friendly. The last visit we had, i ordered butter chicken.. It was the best one i have tried. 😍 Tried also the risky rider dessert. If we ever come back to Kolkata, we will defenitely visit one step up again.
Very good food and service! If you are looking for some good continental food then this place on park Street is a must visit.
Delicious continental dishes. My favourite here is grilled fish in lemon butter sauce and also baked fish. Service is good too.
Park Street is like the market of Bar and Restaurants. Where just after 2 steps you get Bar cum Restaurants from affordable to luxury. Now should you step in to One Step Up?Drinks costs more than twice over here for no reason. By reason I mean its one of the most boring bar cum restaurant of Park Street. The ambiance and lights are too dull. Tables and sittings are cozy.We took Bira Pint White MRP of Rs. 110 and we paid Rs. 240 for that, Carlsberg MRP Rs.160 they charged it Rs.300 & Bacardi White Rum 60ml costs Rs.265. We took 6 beers and 1 hard drink for 3 people and they served only one small bowl of Parle Monaco Cheeslings that comes Rs.50 for a Jar. When we asked the waiter to serve peanuts or something else with the drinks, they simply said they dont have anything else except that.I mean if you dont have anything else why you people have opened a bar? Open a Omlette shop roadside. I asked the waiter to serve the same Cheeslings for everyone separately, then also they were like, slow, will do and finally served after so many hesitation when we had already finished half of the drinks. Theyre making so much of profit by charging more than double for the drinks then why so stinginess? Now coming to the food, actually we were unable to order food here. We wanted to order but just after ordering the drinks, the waiter snatched the menu card from my hand like I will eat it. I tried to ask for the menu card but their attitude towards us was so annoying it felt better not to order anything.Even at evening time on weekdays when the restaurant was more than empty, they were in so hurry to drove us away from the restaurant to make table for new people.Their body language was asking us to leave the table again and again. It was saying drink fast and get lost from here. It showed how trained they were to not give much time to a group keeping a table reserved for long.At the end of the day I’ve no idea why we paid Rs.1885 as bill simply for few drinks. Neither they’ve good service nor very good ambiance to enjoy, then why pay that much? The name of this place may be One Step Up but the overall experience you get here is definitely few steps down.
Excellent food, large quantity, reasonably priced, no frills smart and clean decor. Overall a plus plus experience. O! And of course, is mainly meant for continental lovers like me.
Nice place. Price are not too high. Food quality is good. And quantity is also decent. One plate pasta was sufficient for two of us.
Awesome, awesome, simply amazing continental cuisine
Very delicious food that not only satisfies your palate but also your soul!! If you wanna taste continental food that is Superrr Tasty & super affordable One Step Up is your destination.. 🙂🙂
Chicken tropicana is my favourite dish..very courteous staff..well maintained..the best continental is served here.
Good food
Ambience, menu, service was good. Waiters were polite. Thry themselves arranged seats for more people when sitting together was not an option
This place is located near Flurys and is one of my favorites. I have visited One Step Up at least 3-4 times, and every time I do, it just like its name, climbs a step up in my recommendation list. Till date I have tried a lot of their dishes, and the ones that I will recommend are their pastas. They have some amazing pastas in their menu. Also, it is better not to opt for the pizzas available, as they are a bit dry.The ambience and the interior is beautiful, and the staff is really friendly. They have a ground floor as well as a 1st floor sitting section and you can choose where you want to sit and have your tasty food.
Best place for conti cuisine
Too small space and overcrowded, you cant even listen your partners voice from opposite seat
Best continental dishes. Pocket friendly and good quantity is served. Staff is well trained and polite.
I loved the food quality and quantity. One portion of any dish is enough for 2. Also their hospitality is well nice. The place is good for a small group of friends or family.
Chicken Tropicana was delicious Must try
Awesome food and equally excellent attendant/waiter behavior.
It has always been an yumm experience
Every thing had a disgusting carrot sauce .
Good place to hangout. Prices are reasonable compared to the quality and quantity of the food.
The perfect INTERIOR solution for your home
Good continental food
Delicious & awesome food... Service is also good... & The atmosphere is heavenly....
Very nice food at amazing prices
Good food for the price. The mixed grill was my favourite when I visited this place last time.
The ambience could have been better otherwise its ok and the drinks were good.
