I dont know how many times Ive been to Kimli but at one point of time, this place used to be my favorite place for Chinese.I love the ambiance and the staffs always make sure to maintain proper hygiene.The services are super prompt, staffs behaviour is good, quantity of the food is way too much for three people.Theres hardly any good Chinese restaurants I like in kolkata.But Kimli is one of the best restaurants I love visiting to often. My favourite is mixed fried rice, szechuan fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, green chili chicken the rest I dont remember.Earlier the prices of the dishes were lesser but now all the prices have changed in the menu. Youll find this place very rush during festivals and I dont like that.If youre a Chinese lover just like me then this place is for you. Highly recommended. Do visit. 💕

Very standard chinese experience, portion and price is very well balanced. Definitely your taste buds wont be dissapointed. Only if the basic service experience is at par with the food this will be probably one of the best chinese experience around gariahat/golpark region.

The best place/ restuarant to order Chinese food from. The quality and quantity is good. The price is reasonable. The behaviour of the staff is good. You can sit and eat there if you want and even get take away done. They dont have any in house delivery but you can get your food delivered at your doorstep from Kimli via Zomato or Swiggie or if you want you can ring them up an place your order before hand and do the pick up your self too.

Pocket friendly restaurant serving the best Chinese cuisines. Its near golpark and gariahat market. My favorite is Mixed Chinese Chopsuey, they are the expert in it. Its good for large group treats for both family and friends. But recently they had a price hike.

One of the old Chinese places in Kolkata. Their attention to quality and quantity is impeccable always, and hasnt wavered at all in all these years. Has a cafe feel to it with a relaxed setting. Always ask for the owner to recommend if youre in doubt about what to order. Their chicken wings and teriyaki chicken are amazing btw.

Now pros and cons....Nice ambience, more than sufficient quantity (we ordered only one rice for us and it was plentiful for both of us), reasonable price....Now cons, the quality and taste of food could have been better, dont get me wrong, its not bad at all and its really a personal opinion, but the quantity of sugar they added in Garlic Lamb drastically decreased the taste and also my appetite....If you are a true Chinese food lover (which Im not), you should definitely try their food....Update....Visited this place again yesterday, tried different items but sadly the quality of the food was not up to the mark.... One of the most loved chinese food hub for me and my friends....The quality and the quantity of food was just awsome in a very cheap price....these days restaurants costs minimum of Rs. 500 for a meal of two person...but here you can get it in Rs. 400 - Rs. 415.....The taste of the foods were really awsome...we r heading in there from our college life, since the end of 2014 and still it is one of the best chinese food joint in the city....and the most important is that any of their chicken dishes contains 10 pieces of chicken may it be gravy or dry along with the veggies..In frame:Korean rice: One of the best fried rice I have ever had in any of the chinese restaurants and also it is my favourite dish in Kimli...the rice has a Korean flavour with a bit of spicy taste...the quantity was enough for two persons when you r in hunger...but if u just want to try it and ur stomach have not much space it can be shared by three person also...Malasiyan Chicken: This is the first time I have tried this dish here...it was good going with the rice...the chicken was little bit sour in tastes..it will go best with little less spicy rice or with the rice which has sweet flavour in it...Manchurian rice: These rice is a liitle bit of black in colour due the colour of sauce...but it contains a lot of chicken, prawn, egg, and veggies in it....the rice goes best with a sweet tested chicken dish....the manchurian sauce was not as good as other sauces they used...thus these rice is not as much famous as the others...Triyaki chicken: These chicken dish is also the first timer for me, but it amzed me with its taste...it was in a little bit sweeter side of the taste but it tatses really good as it was a perfect blend with a spicy kind of rice...Rep pepper chilli garlic chicken lollipop: These was one of the famous dishes of kimli...it contains 10 pieces of lollipops among the minced garlic and green chillis...though its name suggests a spicy kind of dish but it was not at all that much spicy it holds a perfect blend dof sweet and spicy tatse...the lollipops were perfect in size along with its mouth watering taste....

Based at hindusthan park in an alley just befire muralidhar girls college.The ambience is okayish with dim lights and pretty wall hangings...it is a small place but nicely organised that made it spacious.About the food one thing first i want to say is the quantity...the quantity is really good...i was very impressed by that. Other than that the quality is fine...not too good not too bad.One thing i want to point out is the soup...it was very thick at the upper portion but quite thin in the lower part ....Butvit is a nice place ,another one actually that i would list under the affordable restaurant category. So do give them a visit and yoi might not be happy with some of their items but some are really good...Till then HAPPY EATING 😄😄

If you never had duck meat in your life, Kimli is the best place to begin with. The Schezwan gravy duck is a must if you like your meat spicey and hot! Black beans gravy with vegetables Duck is delicious and sweet to have, have it with plain steamed rice to enjoy the flavours. The interior décor is a bit dim and building has old vibes. Its nice place to have a large gathering as food potions are sufficient for sharing! And it is pocket friendly.

It always feels great to be back in the city and visit kimli without fail. The Red hot chilli pepper lollipop is to die for. Also dont forget the lemon chicken. Very few places still have the core kolkata style indian Chinese and kimli is definitely one of them. Its a must.

I and my relatives visited this place last night. We ordered lemon chicken along with some chicken prawn fried rice. The lemon chicken which was supposed to be tangy and a little sweet tasted like a dessert - super sweet and not at all tangy ! The waiter then went and added some lemon juice or essence.After some time I found a piece of transparent plastic in the rice. I informed this to the owner/cashier and he was willing to change the portion of the rice. I feel that the hotel needs to institute quality protocols to ensure that such lapses don’t occur in the future !

Nice chinese food

I am a big fan of the Chimney Soup. The nice part about the good here is that it isnt very greasy and the taste is always consistent. The Chimney soup is huge and the portion sizes of rice and noodles are huge. The Singapore mee foon is another fabulous dish. Their kung pao is quite nice. And so is the teriyaki duck.Have eaten here over 100 times and still love going back.

Kimli used to be the great little place in Gariahat serving authentic Chinese at an affordable price. Back in college (2018) it used to be our daily hangout place. I visited kimli after almost 2 years and its saddening to see the quality of food degrade like this. I hope they up their game.
