The largest of historical parade grounds in the heart of kolkata, where the largest ever peaceful protest and political gathering took place by the conjoined CPIM , CONGRESS and ISF. The ground space is huge. Although it lacks a bit of maintenance, the ground is suitable enough for picnics in free times of the year. Things might get a bit Dusty in the centre of the ground. Forms a muddy pothole Center during the winter season
