Babughat is usually known for its ferry station.It provides a significantly shorter path to Kolkata than by taking a bus from Howrah.Besides,there are a few street food stalls and benches to relax and spend your evening enjoy the breeze and the view of the river(Ganges) and the Howrah bridge over it which is pleasing indeed.

Note: Due to covid 19 all the places are locked.If you are visiting these places(banks of river ganga) you will feel the bliss.People of kolkata always love to hangout around these places with friends without friends and with a sip of tea and for some people a puff of cigarettes is like a heaven.I also like the vendors selling fruits and peas. With a hint of lime and their specially made masala its just a magic.Calm cool weather, Shades of lush green tree, and the smell of ganges mud is always a love for the people here.Take a ferry ride or take a lunch at famous Floatel will always be your choice but either way if you are fed up with the noise and restlessness of kolkata do take a visit here and you will be pleased.

It is located near Fort Williams, Kolkata. there is a ferry point from here, where we get Shikara type small boats which are manually operated on Hugly river. We have to negotiate and fix the time and price before boarding the boat. We could have a nice scenery of both sides of Hugly river.

You can enjoy Ganga river and sunset together in ferryboat available there with reasonable price. Ganga river and ferry ghat should have been cleaned properly as it used to be to preserve its natural beauty.

The view is very good but the place and river water is very dirty due to local people , they bath and wash clothes in the river water . Boats are used by local people to travell from one side to another , if ypu also want the experience of boat , you can get a round trip ticket of ₹12 .

We received our stay as an anniversary present. It exceeded all expectations. This property is charming and magnificent in its décor. Annette and her husband Andy made us feel so welcome and at home. A tour of the B & B certainly enlightened us to the possibilities of their establishment- hosting, dinners, wine tasting, small meetings, accommodation for out of town guests of those living in the area- so much more intimate than a hotel. The living area is a great place to sit in the evening- we brought our Collingwood area family in to share the experience. Sharing morning coffee, books and the paper enhanced the beginning of the day in this room also. Bacchus House is exceptionally clean and the rooms are well appointed and elaborately dressed. Sparking white towels,soft sheets under a duvet , lovely toiletries, use of a bathrobe, make this a 5 star B & B. Breakfast was a feast. Beautiful china, lavish table linens, soft upbeat background music sets the scene. There are delicious selections of entrees, scrumptious muffins, juices, and fruits. Attentive service is provided by Annette. Parking is available and Bacchus House is walking distance to downtown for most. There is lots to do in Collingwood and area year round- no need to be a skier. We strongly suggest that you book early as this is a sought after location. We really enjoyed the hospitality and overnight experience

Police station for traffic control and has railway station also... Its breezy and the roads are really good... Eateries roadside was also there which I was feeling afraid to try so I didnt try..
