I went to A. N. John Park Street after years. They did not disappoint me at all rather I was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism and excellent services. From booking over phone to changing appointment to getting me the service on time to maintaining covid protocol, they were on point. I was very impressed by Sana, she is a hair artist who specializes in short haircuts. Extremely patient, polite, friendly, and professional person. You should look for her if you want a short hair and some good hair growing tips. She listened to me carefully, understood my requirements, threw in her expertise, and voila! 31st March 2021 @6:45pm was my recent visit for hair cut. To my surprise I was shocked seeing few clients seated at the reception dis.not have their mask on. I noticed 1/2 staffs manno the reception did not bother to remind these customers to put on their mask. I was compelled to pointed out. In addition there was power cut. The salon continued operating despite disruptive power supply. Now, I was all the more shocked seeing same staffs at the reception conveniently took off mask; excuse was suffocation since the AC stopped functioning. This includes the owner too infact he was encouraging a female staff to take off her mask too. He was engrossed talking to her rather than restoring back up electricity. N it was so suffocating inside the salon. Any case he is barely is seen following the fundamental covid-19 protocol - wearing a face mask. Does AJ John only markete the brand value and boast of service? What about adhering to such factors that are so important and sensitive during this pandemic situation??? Am a frequent visitor of the salon. Undoubtedly happy with the service. Am sure most regular clients are. Does this give the liberty to the owner and some of the staffs to stay away from wearing face mask while dealing with public??? I wonder !!!!

Ask for Hairstylist Jeet.He is highly skilled, has technical knowledge (the science of products too) and will only do whats best for your hair.

Slightly overpriced in certain treatment s but best for haircuts

Used to visit this salon every year since 2005 after a friend recommended me. The able staff disappeared slowly. So to play safe I kept on choosing 3rd or 4th level stylists. Then for the last couple of times went straight for Raman.In December of 2017 received a really horrible haircut just before new years eve. I had really beautiful long tresses and what I wanted was a bit of a trim and styling. He gave me a mix of pixie hair cut and a short bob. The oddest haircut for my face shape, age and profession. Despite asking him twice to not ruin my length he kept on chopping off my hair while talking to his staff about other things. On complaining he told me that its a posh bob and all I needed to do is style my hair daily to maintain it. I didnt say anything and left in shock. With that horrible new haircut I had lost my confidence and a lot of money that day. I constantly needed hair styling afterwards to manage my new unmanageable really short bob pixie haircut that I never wished to have.Never returning to this salon again.

I was thrilled by the experience I had with ANJohn. I visited Calcutta on a trip and was returning back when I wanted to get a haircut done. I visited the park st branch and met MOUMITA at the reception. She informed that all of their hairstylists are busy and no appointment is possible.Yet she checked with all once again. I insisted since I was returning back the next day. Then started the MAGICAL SERVICE EXPERIENCE. MOUMITA called every branch personally and checked if anyone is availalble right now.She also briefed them with my requirement of a haircut and the style etc.After calling 2 to 3 branches, finally someone was available in the alipore branch called PETRICIA. Moumita immediately requested her to block herself for the next one hour.I absolutely loved her commitment and dedication to go that extra mile for her customer. It was not her call of duty but she did.Next one worth mentioning is Petricia. She patiently heard my requirement and was more than happy to accommodate all my request of tweaking the hairstyle to suit my face.Extremely positive calm highly skilled and truly professiona. Thats Petricia in one line.Overall I am highly impressed with AN JOHN and their excellent customer service experience. Calcutta and AN john rocks!! Highly recommend all

Oh!! We means (me and wife) took an outworld experience. We both took manicure and pedicure and hair cut and head oil massage. No words, it is like a lifetime experience. We took services at ANJOHN Alipore branch.

Over priced , people are confident but not good at work , total disappointment i asked them to colour my hair gray they made it blue and told me blue will fade and it will become grey after a few days or a week . This kind of work was not expected , Then they blame the Indian hair colours saying its not like abroads hair colours so why is someone paying for this kind of service and trust me there is nothing luxurious about this place if u have extra money and would like to give away then you should definitely visit this place.Well today they contacted me and got my hair done in no time and let me tell you this time it was on point now I can say its a total valur for your time and money . Definitely not the hair I wanted. They are properly sanitized but the hair looks nothing like the description I gave. So disappointed.

Visited (16-07-2020), to get a hair cut. And he(Shahid) chopped off my hair, like he is chopping grass. He made it as short as he could. And never admitted it was his fault, in fact blamed my hair quality. He dint ask me what haircut I want, he himself decided I should go for layers n whatsoever. Now it looks like a pixie cut. This is a problem with these expensive salons and there so called well qualified hair dresser, they start preaching you about, how you should keep & style your own hair. They know everything. Never coming back here. Complete trash. Money wasted.

I went to this parlour twice. Its unisex with very classy interiors. The services are expensive. But the people are really professional and good at hair services. They are well trained and never try to oversell any services or sell anything else like they do in Lakme salons. I got a keratin treatment done for my hair and it took the exact same time and gave exact same effect like they promised. Very happy and would definitely fo again

Even something as simple as eyebrow threading was done with such expertise and attention to detail. Highly recommended.

Behavior of the stuffs are nice.

The one in quest mall has staffs who doesn’t know how to behave with customers. They are rude, absolutely non professional doesn’t know how to do basic highlights , they doesn’t know how to give a haircut, unnecessarily they make hair shorter and has the audacity to justify that.Very very disappointed with behaviour and the services offered by a age old hair salon. A local hairdresser was better than the so called experienced ones there.(visited on 6 February 2019).

For me A N John Park St. Branch is the best of all their other branches in Kolkata. One might like to take an appointment if in a hurry because almost through the entire day, all the hairdressers here seem immensely busy handling so many clients. Service is absolutely pleasurable if one gets his/her hairdresser to understand what he/she would actually like to do with hair.

Best salon. With best expertise

Had been to A N john Park st Kolkata in October 2017 and spent 3500 to get an appointment with the senior most hair stylist. Firstly he was completely busy on the phone and made me feel as if I was an inconvenience then when he finally came to ask me what i want and i said layers he straight away said if i want layers he needs to chop off around 5 inches of hair as my hair is too long as i declined he just gave me a trim and asked his assistant to blow dry my hair. Wow 3500 bucks down the drain. Anyway cz he said i cant get layers while maintaining my length i did not get it done again until yesterday at one of the best salons in Canada and they did an amazing job. Thank you senior most stylist of AN John for NOTHING.

For a very famous salon in the park street area the staff is here is quite callous and not very professional. They seemed too lazy to finish the job with precision. To be clear I got a haircut from a regular barber and not a stylist so this is specific to that experience. Not visiting again.

What a disaster or worse haircut they gave my daughter on 7th April 2019. Plus raman never apologised only tried to rectify blaming her hair quality for being to silky and straight as if thats an excuse. It has really hurt her and affected her esteem being a specially abled person.

This is the worst parlor u can visit. They use a bunch of overpriced products which may or may not work for your hair but the reason I would suggest you strongly against the parlor is their hostile behavior.Stating one incident when I got to the parlors at 7:30 pm for dressing my fringes and they agreed to and asked me to wait until it was 7:45 pm. After that I was asked to sit. The hair dress or saw my hair and suddenly said u hav to come back the next day because we close at 8 pm and we need 30-40 mins to do your hair.The worst thing in business is turning away a customer after welcoming them. And in fact I have been to the parlor before and they serviced till 9 pm when I went for more expensive service.Worst place in city.Strongly recommend you avoid. Go to the one in quest mall if you want.

I had visited their Alipore outlet. The staff are very professional and do a good job with their beauty related stuff, and also do not follow malpractice like up selling and pushing the customers to buy their products which the other trendy salons follow, very impressive experience overall.

I have visiting Park Street A N JOHN for almost a decade now. Raman was awesome but super busy nowadays. Doesnt matter. I found Deepika, a fabulous one. Always a smiling face. Will Listen to you. Will Suggest you. Though This time I wanted a graduated bob which she couldnt manage. Doesnt matter. It was partly my mistake as I couldnt show her proper pic or describe what graduated bob was. A N JOHN is not so contemporary or mod like those Mizo Salons. And I love that.

I went to this place for a haircut. Inspite of taking an appointment i was made to wait for a good 20 mins even though the place was not at all crowded.The arrogant staff act like they are doing a favor on you by providing services for which we anyway pay a large amount.Completely unprofessional behavior. In the middle of me getting a haircut, 2 of the staff members started talking about what to have for lunch and i had to wait till their conversation got over and they had finally decided upon chilly chicken!During the billing period i was not able to hear the amount i had to pay because of the noise from the blowdryers so i asked the receiptionist to repeat the amount. 2 other staff members were present at that time and they all started looking at each other and giggling. I still cant figure out what was so funny.I woukd never return to this place again.
