The room was spic and span. If only you can ignore the night curfew, this place promises a cosy stay. The rates are also very reasonable. I highly recommend staying here.

Good and hygienic, but only provides accommodation and paid breakfast nothing more. Price is little high for members though it is natural for others. Staffs are very much cordial and properly maintaining COVID guidelines.

Youth hostel is one of the nice ambience for the visitors, i have visited in the year 2008, with my parents it was very nice staying.

It is located at a very convenient place for commuting near Sinthi More and Rabindra Bharati University onBT Road. Staff members are cordial and sincere. Premises is very neat and clean. Very well maintained and value for money. But dont expect more than the basic amenities. It observes strict discipline in open the gate which is always kept under lock and key. They will verify identity and purpose to let in. Must return back by 10 PM. So if you want hassle free comfortable stay in the outer periphery of Kolkata, certainly this is the best choice.

Its a decent place to stay, if you are visiting Kolkata for few days or week. Room are in 2 bed sharing with I think 600₹ per day per head charge. The rooms are well maintained and furnished. The only drawback is here you have in and out timings, which I disliked (night 10 or 10.30 is in-time) but yes with this price range you can bear it. Location wise, it is very east to reach, Dumdum is the nearest metro station and it is situated exactly opposite to Calcutta University.

Highly Recommend! Convenient Location, Extremely Helpful and smiling staff, Clean Ambience and Room and really very simple and tasty Breakfast and dinner. 24 hrs hot and cold water. Well lighted rooms, 1 fan per bed Clean toilets. Good guidance if you are new in the city and all this for INR 600 for double room! What else you can expect. Full marks!

I stayed here in 2009. Great value. I found the beds ideal and comfy. The food was great. The workers at the hostel were friendly, hard-working, and accommodating.

It was really a Nice Experience out there. Rooms were neat n Clean, washroom was really hygienic, they were little bit strict in verification purpose but yes it was overall all good.

The entire place is absolutely spotless and serves good food. The staff is polite and helpful. The place is conviniently located for sightseeing purposes- the Dumdum metro station is 8-10 rupees away (shared auto), and one can get down at different metro stops for Victoria Memorial, etc; another auto takes you to the ferry for Belur Math and Dakhineshwar Temple. I strongly recommend this place.

It is situated at kolkata in the middle of rabindrabharati and calcutta university. This place is very strict with their rules. The rooms and the bathrooms are very clean. They have very healthy foods. If you r member of youth hostels then you can book easily for your own or for your family with a genuine reason to stay bt not for spending holiday here.

Excellent place to stay. It is very well maintained and the bathrooms are very clean. Food is slightly costly, but you get simple and hygienic food. The only problem is there is just 1 plug point in each room.

You may have not seen such cleanliness in your life...and in further of life..The ultimate of simplicity and quality...Some restrictions are really though to digest but you would never regret on it if you can set that appetite over ultra clean loo..

Clean room&sheets! Helpful staff! Poor breakfast options but was quiet! Hassles for public transport, leaving to main train st as with backpacks. Forced to take taxi!

Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. It is pretty cheap compared to other hotels too. However lunch and dinner isnt very reliable. They may ask you to eat out nearby due to shortage of staff. There is a dominoes and few other restaurants just 3-4 mins walk away.

I stayed with my wife for seven days, we really liked the place. The rooms and the entire place is very clean and well maintained. Value for money. The food was very homely. The place is very well located and it was easy for us to get a cab or other means of transport to commute. The hostel staff were very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the Warden, Atanu and Abhay.Hope to visit again during my next Kolkata trip. Great place to stay.

The youth hostel is a great place to stay. I will be going there for the third time with a group of students. The food is good, the rooms are basic and very clean and the staff is friendly. The place is neat and clean .Well accessible from central Kolkata.Nearby metro station is Dumdum .The attenders of the hostel are good and helpful.Some rules are awful like you have to leave your room key with them when you are out and they can come and go to your room as they please.yet its safe for girls .

This hostel is cheap and clean. The location is not ideal for backpackers and international travellers. The curfew makes it a safe place but its also very restrictive. I was offered to pay 100 rupees per hour I was late to enter the hostel. Also, there is no WIFI at night because they refuse to switch on the router!
