Good place to spend quality time, especially during the fairs held here. This fairground is colourful and full of vibrance. I visited this place quite a few times during the fairs and this place is always bustling with activity. Enjoyable experience.

Its one of the oldest book fair in Kolkata started in early 70s the location is changed about 2-3 years and its present now at Central Park Salt Lake. Having a great transportation facility. We loved to visit this Kolkata Boi mela every year.

The place is massive Lisa of space for any fair or carnival. May have a little issue with parking facility.

Place is not large enough to organise such a huge book fair, but is compact enough.

The ground is a great place for book fair. It is though out of the heart of the city but draws huge crowd to enjoy the vicinity of books.

The Kolkata International Book Fair 2020 (Boimela) opened yesterday 29Jan20. Theme country this year is Russia. But main attractions are Bengali little magazines & books. Some of the stalls are still in the making, getting ready for the weekend crowd. Car parking area is outside, across the road, -a long & tiring walk all the way.

The ground is huge in size. It is basically a part of central park saltlake. Nearby bus terminus is karunamoyee. It ia at the center point of whole saltlake city.

Book Fair is always fun for me. As a bookwarm, I bought a lot of books from here. It was 44th International Kolkata Book Fair and went there with my mother on 02.02.2020

Central Park situated in Salt Lake is a public urban park. It is also known as Banabitan. It is the second largest open space in Kolkata Metropolitan Area after the Maidan. It is a favorite hangout for people This park is easily reachable from the Karunamoyee Bus Terminus in Salt Lake. Central Park metro station of Kolkata Metro Line 2 is projected to open in 2020. Many government fair held here every year. The popular most is kolkata international book fair, though it has been held here since last year. Place is well equipped with toilets and foods. Communication to this place is good from all over kolkata and from districts. A lot of govt. Bus is available at this place

I love this place i make sure that i visit it every year. Just name a book and you will get it. Not only books, kids magazines and comics are also available. Apart from that, oxidized junk jewelleries and traditional Birbhum style ladies and unisex accessories are also available. And dont forget to feed yourself. A wide range of food stalls are there in the food court. Just hot and fresh on plate😋

It is an International book fair in kolkata.Its really amazing in books screening to the world. Really you can have lots of books from every corner of science and literature.Also best place for kinder interest.

It is a great and famous book fair in Kolkata. It is conducted in a huge area near Karunamoyee bus stand. Best way to go there is from howrah railway station by bus no 215/1 and best is AC59. Atmosphere is good. Flat 10% discount given for books in all stalls. Food stalls available. Toilet is also there. All over the experience was good.

Since 1974, some young publishers of Kolkata, sat chatting at the College Street Coffee House about how to start a rendezvous of book lovers to give a boost to their publishing trade. The example of the Frankfurt Book Fair – a  commercial trade fair of books – came up.When the young publishers finally decided that a book fair could be organised, albeit on an experimental basis, seniors in the trade rubbished it. Kolkata book fair is Pride of Kolkata. Do visit there and have the essence of books, literature music and culture.

Fair & clean spacious ground for Kolkata Bookfair. Although its a place having good communication from different parts of the city & suburbs, but I think Milan Mela Prangan near Science City is far better & organised for holding the fair.

Just beside karunamoyee bus stand. Easy to reach from beleghata or sec v. Stalls like ananda, deys, mitra publications are there. For educational purpose we have arihant, made easy etc. Map is available at help centre. Food court and washroom facility is also there.

Best place and comunication for all...the only disadvantage is Poor Network Connection...even after book fair or any time the network connection of this ground or locality is poor..even on this book fair i personaly experience the same...in the time of mobile banking whatsapp not working due to mobile network..any kind of bank transaction through mobile take more then normal time..and after traying atleast 10to 15time call was connected with poor voice quality in any network.

Awesome place.Bookfair 2020 was from 29th Jan to 9th Feb..Its just beside Karunamoyee Bus Terminal.The ground is big.It has a great advantage because a bus terminal and a metro station is beside it.So transport is very much available to many places.Area is full supervised by Kolkata police and west Bengal police during bookfair.Thank you
