Jyoti Cinema Hall is a beautifully decorated, fully air-conditioned hall. It is a very clean and standard cinema hall. I saw a picture of this in September 2019. It was one of the happiest and most memorable days of my life.

It was a popular cinema hall during 2000s but now it has been collapsed and used for aluminium business godown.Very bad structure now and no maintenance.

Iconic movie theatre of yesteryears. First 70 mm screen of Calcutta. Now aluminum infra materials godown. Half of the space burnt down few years back.

Jyoti was one of the several cinema halls in central kolkata where you could watch the latest Bollywood movie at a very cheap rate. it was those days where u didnt have the malls. but in the modern era it could not compete with the ac malls and with the cable TV as movies are shown in the different national channels within weeks after its release. now it has gone down the history book as one of the oldest cinema halls in the heart of the city. now its no more a cinema hall and its now an aluminium store where you could get panels, window frames etc. but the bus stoppage is still named Jyoti Cinema.....
