Basically a commercial building that has a very old market place. Usually theres no crowd almost the entrie day. The shops are very old. You can get some clothing and saree shops but mostly the offices has occupied the building. Its a bit difficult to understand the plan of the market soo if youre looking for a office or a particular shop then it might be tricky to reach there.

A good and useful market in kolkata. This is also a nice and big reputated market in this city.

If not excellent in reference to Quest, South City & Acropolis Ballygunge New Market still holds its name as a mini Esplanade New Market though such varieties are not present for this mini one.Mainly garments for women like Salwar Suits, Maxi, Jumpers, Blouse Pieces etc along with Cosmetic Jewelries, Bangles, Bindia are available here.

Very centrally located market. Lots of good shops are there. Especially saree, inner wear, kids section is good. Its almost in Gariahat market area. No car parking is there. But one can get fee parking spot. The floor height is very low and during festive time shopping the area generally get over crowded. One may face some breathing issue as well. There is escalator and a staircase. The market is neat and clean as well. Its quite easy to notice from the main road...

Ballygunge New Market is located at Gariahat. People shop for clothes in this market. This market has two floors and has only shops. It is not in a very good condition. There is no shop for eateries. Not a good market for kids. Escalators are used for keeping goods. People would prefer other market and shops in Gariahat.
