There are two bazars in Garia. One is on boral main road and another which good for different types of fish is near Garia more. Bazar on boral main road is good for vegetables and price is also cheap and vegetables are fresh. Also fish,meat, chicken is also available . On other hand garia main bazar is very good for fresh fish of different types. Price is little bit high. Other wise it is ok. Fruit and vegetables are also available.

Arguably one of the best bazars or mandis in southern fringe part of the metropolis. Throbbing place, full of energy. One can expect any vegetables, fishes at standard prices in there. Variety of fresh fishes available particularly in the morning, when it is most hobnobbing. One can expect fresh fishes even in late evening times, which is really remarkable. On the flip side, theyre a bit congested an no room to expand. Should think of expanding it over Tolly Nallah and should get connected with another mandi on the other side of the canal. That will make it a super-sized massive market of South Kolkata.

Garia bazaar is adjacent to Garias haat, another big market. Combined, every article is available in this market. From groceries to clothes to utensils ( steel, brass, bronze and earthenware) to flowers...you name it and you get it. Quality and price varies from shop to shop. Outside the Garia market, there are two brands of cake shops. Apart from these, electronic goods shops, mobile repairing shops, sports goods shops, stationery shops etc are in the vicinity. The negative point is its a very crowded place and remains busy most of the time. If you have time and patience, you should definitely visit this market. Those who are looking for pork or beef, this is not the place for you.

There are free groceries shop inside the market, one of them close to chicken market area is best and keeps almost everything
