Development must be need . This platform condition are not good. No of train very less than customer . Its most important railway station. I like this station.

Yuck! Lots of garbages dumped in the streets. Inefficiency in its height with no municipality waste collection initiatives. Lots of slums with no sewage system.

This is a crowded station. It has 2 platforms... Platform no.1 is for trains towards budge bidge and platform no.2 is for trains towards Sealdah or Naihati or Barrackpore... Only in platform no.1 you can collect you ticket for you journey. But in this station you can get anything you need as its full of many shops in this station. Also the station is very dirty....

One of the worst railway station. Rather i must say it is less railway station more Bazar. You will find whatever you want to buy. Literally you will get pin to cow.

Santoshpur railway station is a Kolkata suburban railway station falls under Budge Budge section under jurisdiction of Eastern railway. Around 45 pairs of trains runs on daily basis.This station was built in the year 1890 by former British government. Later in the year 1966 electric locos were introduced and used to run on single line. Later double line was introduced.Santoshpur railway station has 2 platforms. Tickets counter is located on no 1 platform. Both the platforms are connected by overhead bridge.There is a auto rickshaw, taxi stand and bus stand located out side the station. There is also a cycle stand out side the station.

You have to take extra care if you are carrying cash or any valuable.

It is a market more than a rail station. No rules and regulation. Locals use the rail station as their residential place. Station is as dirty as some high drains.Most of the station is occupied by the hawker, more place for hawkers than the passenger came their for broading the train. No rules, no administration, anyone can feel that this station does not belong to Indian railway.

Santoshpur Railway Station is very conjusted and dirty. No shed to protect from rain or sunlight. Sometimes its likes a fish market instead of railway station. There is lack of sit for travellers who is waiting for their train. Really this station needs some development as soon as possible.

One of the most untidy and crowded place youll ever find in Kolkata.. there are markets from the very start and to the end of both stations, low maintenance and slow staffs working in the ticket counter

Too much congested, illegal shop in both platform at Railway station ( mostly by Bihari migrant) pickpocketing also reported from the station.Most of the Lighting in the station well illuminated. Paid Toilet facility available for men and women. Outside of station also one toilet for male and female available.

Good station but should have to change alot with securities because there are too much pick pocket Thief around every corner beware of them . Kolkata police should take strictly forbidden for this case although in station they sell weed ( ganjha) and brown sugar openly without any tension of cops the sellers say open they give money to cops

The station is no more station. It became a market for each and every thing, starting from groceries to mobile repairing,bags, shoes etc. It is one of the most crowded station among all the station between Sealdah to Budge-Budge.
