For all the followers or call them devotees of Lord Krishna constructing a temple is a big satisfying wish fulfilled. I am not sure if this temple complex has been rebuilt or repaired but it looks like a new temple built by some wealthy devotee. There is a marble plaque which gives some sketchy information about the people who patronised it. But there is no other history available on the premises. Very well maintained and calm environment. For the daily puja there is a priest who is very serious looking and meticulous about the rituals. If you do not want any disturbance in your spiritual pursuits this is an ideal place to meditate.

Very calm and quiet religious place, absolutely neat and clean, aesthetically rich, good place to spend time with children or doing meditation admist busy area of Bagbazar, one has to get down at Balaram Mandir bus stop and follow Ram kanta Basu street on the opposite side of the road or one can avail metro and get down at Shyam bazar Raja Manindra college outlet and follow Ram kanta Basu street behind Shyam square.

This place is calm and quiet. In recent years it has been repaired but not restored. Unable to find the old temple, as now its looks like a new temple not a old temple. Earlier, this temple was popular among couples.

I come here on every visit to my hometown. Never knew this existed amidst all the hue and cry of a metropolis. This is the closest you get to the Lords abode, Boikuntho and Golok. Beyond all known realms.Hare Krishna.

One of the oldest temples in Bagbazar is the New Vrindavan Temple on Ramkant Bose Street. The temple was established by the late Sri Nandalal Karuri Mahasaya in 1348 (English 1940). Rathyatra, Jhulnotsab, Janmashtami, Gopastami, Rasyatra, Govardhana Pujo and chanting of Lords name started with the daily service of God. On the occasion of Govardhana Puja, about 300 kinds of offerings are offered to the Lord. Every year on the occasion of the Rath Yatra, the Lord rides in the traditional chariot of the temple. The temple is open and closed from 8 am to 12 noon and from 4 pm to 9 pm ....
