Homely experience inside where u can sit in groups upto 12 people...and the next group is about 5 metre away. No ambient music. Good food available. Try fish fry and fish spring roll. The best.

Because this is Kolkata Port Trust guest house, entry for general public is prohibited. . Thus I cant comment about interiors. The quaint building reminds of British era. There is parking space available. It is easily visible from a moving vehicle in the normal traffic. It is easily accessible because of its location. The exterior walls on the pavement have beautiful painting which can hardly be unnoticed.

I have been visiting this place since I was kid. The guest house and club facilities are mainly for port officials.The lounge is decent with a nice ambience.Must try the fish fry, vegetable pakodas, chilly chicken and chow.The service is excellent with very polite servers.

This is a Guest House and a Club specifically meant for the Officers of the Port Trust with a very few execptions who are strongly recommend by some Port Officers and are found by tye managing committee to be worthy of membership. This is NOT a general hotel or restaurant. High govt. Officials normally stay here. Many times Central Minsters prefer to stay here due to locational advantage. Being a member of the club for a long period, I can say the food items are fantastic and very very economic. Amenities are also good. Unfortunately, the main person behind these prolific food items, our beloved Gora has died very recently. May his soul rest in peace. However, you have to enter the club as a guest of any member and if you want to..then get hold of one.
