The village goddess Sri Sri Siddheshwari Kalimata Thakurani is from this village. Formerly the place was full of mulberry forest. King Radhakanta Dev Bahadur tried to cut down the forest and settle down. The Shiva linga was found at that time. So he set up a temple called Tunteshwar Shiva and planned to set up an idol of Goddess Siddheswari. Later, one of the ancestors of the local Govindachandra Gangopadhyay, Sri Sri Siddheshwari, erected an idol of Kalimata. It is known from the inscription that this idol was established by Hemangani Devi in ​​1901. The idol was re-established by devotee Gopal Chandra Dey and his wife Binodini Dasi in 1917. Inside the temple, there is a stone stone idol and a white stone Shiva in a semi-reclining position. History is enlightened by the sincere wishes of the famous Siddhapeeth devotee. Worship at this shrine has been going on for ages. Many miraculous stories are present in this statue. The people of the area are overwhelmed by the greatness of the mother. Later, with the help of local villagers, a spacious attic and a natmandir were built in front of the temple. Baroari Durga Puja was introduced here from 1944.
