Its very disappointing for me to give this school a 2 star even after studying here for 7 years. The school might seem very affluent in culture , amenities and other curricular activities from the prospectus but reality is it is a low standard cbse school with very high co curricular foundations. Really it is more of a weekend playhouse than a real institution. Teachers in co curricular are excellent with excellent facilities , but when it comes to studies it is really where they lack a lot. The teachers are sub par with very few exceptions. The labs are modest for the fees with no updates. The teaching and exam methods are really questionable. When my friends at other reputed schools are doing higher standard questions here they cant even teach the basic curriculum properly especially the more you go into higher classes.If you have no real link with studying rather have strong foundation in extra curricular definitely recommend this school.Although the prices are high but you get air conditioned rooms cant complain though🤐.

If there was option for -ve ranking.. I would have given -5 for this school.. I have been talking to several schools for my ward to admit but never heard such a unprofessional hursh words from the school administrator.. She is pathetic.. She even doesnt know how to talk to a person.. Above all from the conversation it looks they are just looking for money.. they hardly are thinking about the wards future. I am sheer disappointed after talking to the Admin.. And will never approach this school again.

Recently in class 10 half yearly question science paper, in biology section , one question is asked from extracellular digestion, this is not in the syllabus, neither anything written in the NCERT book followed in the school nor in NCERT exampler. In Every exam some questions are asked outside ncert book. The school administration should look into the matter and the questions asked in the exam should be limited to the book followed in the school, otherwise there is Every reason to conclude that the teachers who are setting the questions have some vested interest in asking some questions. They are picking up questions from Bjyus, Vedantu like apps. Is that the interest?

Worst and very unprofessional school. They denied admission to my daughter even though she is a meritorious student and gold medalist in Olympiad just because me n my husband r undergoing legal case between us. Whereas, other good schools understood the situation and are ready to give admission to my child. If a school cannot understand that child has the right of education and they have nothing to do with whatever happens between their parents. The worst part was, they were informed about the situation then too they asked us to take admission form by paying 500/- and later denied admission. On the top they suggested to come for admission once the case is over ( 5-10 years). The school lacks ethical ground.

The most pathetic school in Kolkata. The teachers always give upper hand to those students who take private tuitions from them. They only try to harass those who study on their own. They are tuition hungry and will stoop down to any level for money. Class 11 and class 12 Science teachers are worst especially Computer Science. They teach nothing and expect students that they will be of Einstein level. I didnt take any tuitions from any of the teachers and I suffered a lot. I got 95% in Boards. Those who will be reading my review (if anyone) please dont study here at least Class 11 and 12. There are many more better schools who will provide you better opportunities and will recognize you.

Ive studied in this school for 14 years and I consider myself to be very lucky to have been a part of this family. It supports both academics and other co-curricular activities well to build a young mind creatively. As per the other reviews which claims that a class 12 Science student will fail if they dont study in the private tuitions of the teachers, I strongly oppose this fact. I too am a Science student and I havent studied in any of the private tuitions of my school but still managed to pass in every exam. But it is true that maximum number of students fail in the exams of class 11 and 12 but that is only because the papers are made very tough so that it pushes us to work and study harder so that we can achieve good marks in the boards and not because the teachers intentionally wants us to fail. Im not denying the fact that if one takes these private tuitions then it will help you in passing these exams. Teachers do get biased for their coaching students and give them more marks but those who does not go in these tuitions gets the marks they actually deserve and nothing less. And I have many friends from other schools as well and this policy is no exception in any other school. But one must realise that the marks which actually matters is the board marks and these teachers will try their best to shape us and give us the internal assignment marks for boards.Another point which I want to draw as per the other reviews, it is true that the students are mainly prepared for the board exams and not for the other competitive exams but that is also the same for any other school in Kolkata because teachers have to keep it in mind that they teach in the manner which is understood by all the students and beneficial to them and hence they cannot afford to go for higher study in class. But if a student wants to get done with some higher order problems then they are free to ask the teachers in school but after the class. Teachers are very patient and entertain such questions when they are free. And I am obviously talking with experience. Also this school provides some best laboratory equipments and facilities and according to the reviews of my friends of other schools it is the best in BDMI.As per the bullies are considered, this school tries their best to manage such students and assign the required punishments. All students are not the same and such bullies and disobedient students are present in every school worldwide so its really unfair to blame it on the school.BDMI is inevitably a great institution and it provides everything that one can possibly expect from a private school in Kolkata.

One of the worst school......fees is very high but the education quality and facility are not up to the mark...all types of bad habits are practised by the students of this school.....and the school is only a mere business...nothing else...creates a lot of traffic jam when the school starts or gets over...even the ambulances also gets struck during that time....they dont think about the normal public..... no one comes here to study only people from uneducated rich families come here....

I had to visit BDMI for my nephews admission. There are 3 seperate buildings (could be more) scattered in that area and I had to visit the admission department in the Stepping Stone block. Its of considerable size with proper security (it seemed). The security staff was cordial and directed me to the concerned dept.The Maams were extremely efficient and patient. I was listened to and they answered to all my queries. It was a nice, hassle free visit.

I studied there from pre primary till class 10 and I can tell everyone that this school has the worst disciplined students. There are many bullies and egoist students-both boys and girls. I contacted the office. They had checked my sons result and issued admission form for science. He qualified in science exam. Yesterday we went there. My son said that he came for admission to class XI but the staff in the office issued admission from. And their behaviour is not good enough. The teacher got offended when I said that I would bring cash from ATM. When I did return to give her the money she refused me and blamed my son for it. Now when we went there the teachers offered commerce. Now my question is if he cant get science then why did he give science exam. Bdmi this is not good. An exceptionally mediocre school which shouldve never gotten CBSE affiliation. Barring a few teachers this place is an example of how career destroying favouritism in an educational institution can get if left unchecked. But make no mistakes, this school has a lot of potential to grow. The infrastructure is more than adequate, the library has enough books, security is tight, good washrooms and everything else. If only the management could get rid of some of the teachers whove corrupted this institution with their malpractices, this would be a great place to grow.

I was a student of BDMI from class 1 and i would say this is one of the best schools in kolkata. The teachers are very much experienced and are too co-operative with the students. Due to the presence of various activities, a student gets refreshment from studies. Till class 10, the school tries their best to provide all possible features to each individual student. Even In 10+1 and 10+2, the teaching staffs are good, which is the prime factor in these two years. Overall, the school is also reasonable and the Infrastructure is well maintained. One can admit there children here with hesitations.
