Budge Budge Ferry Terminal is a beautiful environment that is impossibly beautiful looks. From here the Ganges can be seen very beautifully, Maa Kali temple next to it also has many gods, Adjacent to this is the crematorium which is operated by the corporation.

The first time I ever rode on a ferry was when I go from bauria to Budge budge.My family and I had gone to Penang for a holiday We arrived at the Ferry Terminal just as the sun was setting. My father paid the fare at one of the toll-booths and we were ushered into a lane. We had to stopbehind a row of cars to await the arrival of the next ferryPresently a light yellow ferry arrived. Cars and motorcycles sped out of it. Then the green light came for us to board. My father carefully drove the car onto the lower deck of the ferry. It was an exciting new experience for me. I noticed the words Pulau Undan on a wall of the ferry.As soon as the ferry was filled with cars and motorcycles on the lower deck, it left the terminal and proceeded towards the island. I stood at the front end of the ferry and watched the water churn and twirl as the ferry cut through it.I could see the island a short distance ahead of us. To ou left spanned the Penang Bridge. The setting sun cast a red glow on the whole scene and I must say that it was beautifulMy sister and I climbed up the stairs to the upper deck It was filled withpassengers who either sat on the seats there or loitered around the area.Soon the short ride ended. We hurried back down to the lower deck and got into our car when we saw Penang Island loom closer and closer.Finally the ferry docked and my father followed the row of cars out of the ferry. Mind Soothing Area for lovers and new couple birds , sorrunding area bounded by budge budge kali temple and HPCL,BPCL,and IOCL .Well maintained by WBTC , still modifying area . no doubt good as per my view

This is a place where Swami Vivekananda alighted from his journey of Chicago. This place has a ferry station and a port. There are some companies, too. Its a nice place to spend your evening outskirts of Kolkata.

Geographically it is very important as well as historically also, Swami বিবেকানন্দ Vivekananda ensured his journey to Chicago from here. Just ten minutes you can reach Howrah district from here by lonch. Budge budge railway station is also twenty minutes walking distance from this lonch ghat

Vessels carry passengers from budge budge kalibari to bauria ferryghat and vice versa. One deck with roof and side has no wall but railings. Can carry abot 70 to 75 persons. It is faster and safer than boats. Do not carry motorbikes. Ticket is rs 6 per head. Ferry goes at 15 minutes interval.

Very important connectivity in between Budge-budge and Bauria are conducted by Ferry Service in warer-ways, connected the two distinct of South 24 Parganas & Howrah. Good service are done by the Transport Deptt., Govt of West Bengal. The 1st. & last ferry gone from Budge-budge side are 5.15 am & 10.20 pm respectively. From Bauria at 5.30am first ferry started and also closed at 10.10 pm when last ferry gone. The distance of Bauria ferry ghat is near about 3.0 k.m. from Bauria Railway Station.
