This is the head office of Kolkata Municipal Corporation. It is situated near New Market.Nearest police station is New Market Police Station.Whether it is birth certificate or death certificate or any other work, everything is done here. I came here to make a correction in my birth certificate. I came from Patuli.S24 is the best option to reach here from Patuli. You can also avail Garia- BBD Bag minibus or C26 bus but then you have to walk for around 5 min from Esplanade bus stop.

Nothing for good, nobody co-operates the needy ones. Basic public service is nil even for the disabled. Short of parking space.

Good office 👍 works really well but you have to come within 6am to avail their service

Whether it is birth or death certificate you have to stand in queue and get your number at the gate. They entertain only 100 people for death and 100 people for birth certificate. The office opens at 11 a.m. but people stand in queue from morning 7 a.m. .... Only parents or child should stand for birth certificate else you would be thrown out. They check your id proof. Be prepared to spend the entire day if your documents are approved by the office. Usually people have to come here 3 times on an average.

Imp. Place..U have to came in early morning..and write ur name on page at gate..100 certificate issued per day for birth.. and death.For birth certificate....u have to show.. 1. adhar card.. 2. voter card... 3. The birth document given by hospital where baby take birth... With parent of baby.. ₹100 per certificate...And for death..certificate..Same as above..and .. have to produce the document with date of death and when the body is burned or buried given by gram ponchaet ... And samsan ghat authority

KMC has made Kolkata Indias first No Vats city. But the lack of foresight in providing an alternative means of livelihood for ragpickers has them rummage through rubbish before it is dumped in many parts. Result: dirty pavements piled with rubbish exactly opposite every clean KMC dumper site!

Very few people attend this office, and the management of local councillor is very helpful to the visitors and the staffs are also very cooperative.

Very easy to get birth/ death certificate

Satisfied with the service of the delivery of death certificate .... No harassment.... Only thing to be noted here that one has to arrive here early ... Delivery within the same day... Improvement of quality of public service .😀

The officers need to learn to deal politely with public....while Government need to increase resources to address the work properly.....

Only needs1.doctors death certificate2. Deceased aadhar card,3. Prothans certificate of burial or burning certificate4. And adhar card who are receiving among the family member.Daily gives 100 people only.Thats all.

The KMC building in Kolkata corporation

I went there for Death Certificate purpose. The queue for that starts early morning (say 5am). If you want certificate then you have to come before 10.30am. Process are easy but it look tough because One have to queue for different purposes like 1.Document Submission 2. Document Verification 3. Cash deposit 4. Certificate Collection.I have deducted 3star not for the efficiency of the KMC staffs (who am I to judge them), but for these following reasons 1. The process is lengthy (introduce token system) 2. There are less counter compare to the Service Takers. 3. If you some query then you have to stand in Document Submission Queue(which will take several hours).

Gets work done

Location wise very easy to reach, systematic work, only one odd thing, stalls or small shops and they are using fire inside office premises.

The municipality corporation here Just at the prime location near Esplande. The place is well maintained and well known. Most of the Kolkata comes under this municipality.Here they got a beautiful garden at front but the parking place is less & stays crowded with vehicles at working hours.

Ok honestly i thought it would b horrible experienc but to my suprise it was not that bad...i went to car parking department and the chief supriyo ghosh was decently nice and answered my questions and was helpful along with the inspector and other staff .. The reason i gave three star is cuz the area i was in is air conditioned and ita a gas chamber filled with tobacco smoke and well its india so it was kind of dirty as well ...i guess the government is blamed and nt the people working there....Ps:- if you be polite and well mannered with etiquettes f saying good afternoon/morning etc along with thank you ..they will be respectful to you as well... Anyways hope this review helps ..

God forbid if you have to visit this hell on earth place! KMC was little better , although they have horrible reputation in providing service and benefits to common people. They have been successful in maintaining their old reputation of being a nightmarish experience for most people, and very little gets done directly here. hell is far better than KMC Birth Certificate Issuing Office, 5, S.N.Banerjee Road, Dharmatala.All staff are same behaviour. they have to first learn discipline.i have to give (1/10).

Collection of Parking Fees from different parking slots are within jurisdiction of Kolkata Municipal Corporation . At each Fee parking area there is board , and in some places the rates also displayed . I find that parking fee collection agencies at different places like Gariahat, New Market etc are charging anything they like e.g. Rs. 50 to 60 or more for parking car for one hour or part , which is Rs.10 so far we have paid . I do not know situation at other parking places, and whether it is with consent of Govt. and taking approval . Police on duty is not helping . If it is with approval of competent authority then it should be clearly displayed at each parking slot with date of effect . I am posting this review on 22.9.2014. Regards .

Kolkata Municipal Corporation head office is situated along S N Banerjee Road & Hogg Street near Janbazar, Kolkata. It is a big red building & shows the touch of Colonial Kolkata in its architecture. It is also known as land of touts. You have to face them in order to get services. There are a number of tax & fee tendering counters in the building.

But the high authority are not try to understand the problem of contractual workers salary. In this precious days we cant mention our family with this salary. Its too difficult.

One of the oldest building located in the heart of Kolkata. Now modified for bette service.Now very fast service in a scientific way

Their service is satisfactory. Visited this place once to collect the death certificate of my grandmother. Waiting time was less.

Nobody cooperates us inside the corporation.One of the worst service i experienced in the corporation....The staff members max. are cheater....your problem their gossip & laughing at u.......without sorting ur problem....They will make (creat)problem for u...lot to say.......

People good and friendly but we know how corporation work slow and not more details.

Many people from all around the Kolkata , Howrah , Hooghly etc. come here with their various kind of problems . But the security guards and some other workers behaves so badly with them . However there are some others who also helps everybody.The place is so dirty and so unhygienic . There is no proper kind of fans or acs in the rooms . You will very often find them not working. their is no proper bus stop and buses will drop you in the middle of the road . There is no traffic signal here .To get your work to be done you have to wait a lot .

I stay in a posh locality and pay ahigh rate of property tax but the footpaths are having teashops and kitchens for other nearby footpath restaurants and in the mornings and evenings they lit their coal fired choolas so we cannot open our windows. Many of us are suffering from COPD. At least 20 Street dogs stay near these shops as people buy biscuits for them. Children and even grownups become afraid to come to our house as they chase them if they carry bags.I am a teacher and my students are afraid of coming to my house. Two marriage houses re there on both sides of my house. They creat loud noises, dirty roads,pollution of all sorts. Recently another marriage house has come up just after three houses.There is a police station just after four houses. Is there anybody to whom I can complain. We are senior citizens and not in a position to run around.

My parents live in front of Shanti Shangha Club, Behala.The club has organised a shorthand cricket tournament on 29th & 30th April. For this reason grasses are cleared from the club ground & dumped on the drain outlet.But another problem has arised from today morning that nearby residents are started throwing garbages upon the grasses.Need immediate help.

A big construction is going on in rajdanga main road, dag 3234., kolkata-700107.Piling has started, but the sound of genarator , engine , making life a hell.added to that , nearby houses are feeling a earth quake like effect , asthey are pushing something in ground. May damage houses nearby , we feel.hope cmc will address to the concern, we have the belief.

We the member of Jadavpur Cooperative Land and Housing Society Ltd. of Mukundapur Nayabad, Ward # 109 pray your kind attention regarding improper sewerage system in our locality. There are open drains and no drain in some of the places of our locality (disposed water drying under the Sun) which is causing health hazards and making the environment filthy.Due to this exposed sewerage and stagnant water, people of this locality suffering by mosquito, mosquito carrying diseases and many other bacterial diseases. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is responsible for administering and providing basic infrastructure to the city.

The office itself is in a prime location. But makes life difficult because of the several official vehicles parked outside.

I dont even want to give one star to dis place..dey waste d whole day of people still dey dont do d work..such an harassing plce..Nd dont know how to behave
