Amulya Jyoti Eye Foundation at Monoharpukur Road near Lancedown Road is a small but well equipped day care eye centre. There are a few reputed eye surgeons and renowned surgeon Dr. Arup Chakraborty is one of them. It starts from 8am and besides other surgeries, mainly cataract surgery is done using the latest techniques. There is no separate car parking space.

My father did a cataract operation from there under doctor arup chakrabortyThe doctors are very good very cooperative but the staffs are very impolite and behaved rudely with us specifically the gatekeeper and the receptionist I dont know what they think about themselves all time telling us only one person is allowed with the patient and why we came a little bit early? Actually this destination is far away from our home approximately it take 2 to 3 hrs by uber and nowadays the road condition is so bad that it is hardly possible to reach the destination at the exact time and knowing this thing very well they keep asking the same question every time and my father and mother both are old so I have to go with them and all Time we are facing this ruthless behavior. Is this way to talk and behave with a person? Very disappointed and these guys should know how to talk with the patient and also with their family. And on the operation day my sister and brother in law was also present with us and due to lack of seating arrangements they told us to go to the new building where only eye checkup is performed and there also the receptionist and the gatekeeper interrogating them like criminal. We felt so insulted after all these things.

I have been visiting this eye centre since two years. My parents have had eye surgeries done and on the first two occasions I have had availed the Mediclaim facility hassle free.Small and crampy setup but the staffs are adept enough to follow the protocol verbatim. There are quite a few good doctors in the panel. It also provides comprehensive eye care with series of eye tests to cater to your eye health. The expenses are moderate and the surgery charges are decided by the treating opthalmologist.Recently, there has been a new wing a few houses after, on the opposite side. The new setup in the first floor is plush, trendy and spacious. It also has a corner dedicated to eye glasses if you are interested in making one from them. The old building retains the OT, I was told.

First of all the doctors are really good and their behaviour is also good very cooperative with patients but the main problem is with the other members of that clinic. Specially the receptionist and gate man. I really dont know what they think about themselves. Recently I went there for my father. Dr. Arup the did his cataract operation and my sister was also present at that time and due to restriction only two person was allowed inside the room and the receptionist told us that my sister can wait in gst tower which is another a place for them and the gate man showed disrespectful behalf with us and the next day when we went there for check up then we reached there a little bit early and the receptionist and other members of that clinic continuously pinching us with this issue. So first of all you guys are need to know how to respect other person that is the main thing

Decent eye care facilities. Eye surgeons are experts in their fields. Moderate cost. Management staff so so. THIS ESTABLISHMENT DOES NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT THRU CARDS. ONLY ACCEPTS CASH. THIS IS THE GREATEST IMPEDIMENT I FACED WHILE I GOT MY MOTHER OPERATED ON BOTH EYES WITHIN A GAP OF ONE MONTH.

Operation done on 9.1.2018. CATARACT OPERATION. Patients age 78. To inform you that here there are several packages for cataract operation. It starts from 17.5K - 21K - 26K - 30K - some more packages(like there can be more 2 to 3 packages between 30k to 60k for which I do not know the exact figures) - 60K. 60K is the highest available here. Let me give you a good guide on Cataract Operation costs. Before any cataract operation you need to check up your or patientss eyes. This is a general checkup, for my father i did that in Miracle Clinic in Santoshpur which cost Rs 400. There the doctor will formally write on the prescription that you need an operation and will give a date for BIOMETRY TEST (a test to measure the shape and size of the eye. It is commonly used to calculate the power of intraocular lens (IOL) implants required for cataract and refractive surgery)test. The Biometry test in AJEF (Amulya Jyoti Eye Foundation) costs Rs 300 for both the eyes in Manual system and Rs 800 for both the eyes in Automatic system. The general eye check up took 15 mins and the Biometry took 10 mins. After Biometry test doctor will study the report and will give the final date and time for operation generally after a week. So, the date of operation generally stands 2 weeks after the general check up and 1 week after the Biometry test. After the Biometry test but before the operation date doctor will prescribe 2 drops for a week into the eye to be operated. Cipla-Flogel-10 ml (Rs 140) and Alcon-Vigamox-5 ml (Rs 272). Both the drops 4 times a day 1 drop each time. On the day of operation you will be asked to reach an hour before and then the patient will be taken admission. The operation will take about 5-10 mins and will be telecasted live in the waiting place cum reception. This waiting area has chairs in rows and can easily accommodate 15 people comfortably. You have to open your shoes before getting inside the waiting arena, but shoes are kept outside in a secured way. There is no designated parking arrangement and cars are kept on the road side. There are caretakers who will help the patient to go to the first floor where operation is done and while taking the patient for the first time they dont allow family members but after the operation they give a call and a family member needs to go the first floor to collect some medical kit which they explain as to what needs to be done with the kit in the next 7 days. The patient needs to see the doctor after 1 weeks time and during this week a 3rd drop is given to be used 6 times a day 1 drop each time for the week. Allergan-PRED FORTE-10ml-Rs 34 (this is included in the kit that you will receive from the hospital so no need to buy). The patient is also given a white/black spectacle to (included in the kit so no need to buy) be used in this period i.e after the operation for a week. Post operation refrain from doing heavy work and direct exposure to strong light and sunlight. There is no restriction in TV viewing but do not come in contact with water (only the operated eye). While sleeping take care of the sleeping positions as you cannot place your eyes on the pillow while sleeping (operated eye). A cap is given for safety which to be worn over the eye ( operated one) while sleeping. Special gloves and tissues are given to wipe out eye discharge for the next 7 days as drops might intensify deposition (included in the kit so no need to buy).I have given a comprehensive description on the procedure and the operation. Hope you will like my review, I think it will help others in finding as to what a cataract operation is all about and how to go about it.

WORST PLACE. PLEASE DO NOT WORK HERE AS A PROFESSIONAL/FRESHER. As a patient you can go because the doctors are really very good but as a professional please do not ever try. The working environment is third class, 3rd graded people are working there. Some names are MOUMITA (TPO Coordinator) and BISWAJIT. These are poorly professional workers with 3rd graded background. They can only stab behind your back rather than work. Even as an employee, sometimes you have to spend a day without water to drink. KAUSHIK the 4th class staff acts like he is the boss of the organization. THERE IS ALSO A KLEPTOMANIAC WORKER WHO STEALS MONEY, so beware of pickpockets. Very poor staffing and management system. PROFESSIONALS BEWARE OF THIS ORGANIZATION. If you join, do it at your own risk. 3rd Class Place to work.

One of the worst treatment. Highly unprofessional. Let me start with the receptionist. The sort of attitude she carries as if she is doing a favor by giving us an appointment. I got my eye operated from Dr. Arup Chakroborty because i was suffering from chalazoin and had to get that removed. The operation wasnt successful and he told me that he would operate it once again for free. He had the audacity to use such a sentence instead of being sorry. Avoid going to this practice at any cost.

The worst eye foundation with all callous staffs specially the bullshit receptionists who doesnt even have the awareness whether the visiting doctors are present there or not & they just blindly return patients without rendering doctors eye check up. Today short while ago I had an appointment with Dr. Subijoy Sinha for check up of left eye which is critical & vision less after uncountable surgeries due to retinal detachment. When we reached the stupid, dull headed receptionist with specs returned us back & unnecessarily harassed us. I needed my left eue to be checked on urgent basis by Dr. Subijoy Sinha but the false & biased statement forced us to come back without the treatment. I called Dr. Sinha & he was equally surprised that how could I come back without his treatment when it on urgent basis. Amulyajyoti can snatch the Jyoti of eye, cant give back... Bullshit Blood suckers the entire team is truly !!!!!!!!
