Hadnt been here since I was a child and this time I was lucky to have gone their for lunch.Dinner is not possible for me as the music might be good but its always too loud but lunch time is eerily quiet and relaxing.Staff were very attentive, air-conditioning was exquisite and eat at such a heritage joint is an experience in itself.The Lobster Thermidor and Shepherds Pie were truly out of this world. Cant wait to be back here to taste the other continental goodies.

Trincas gave me the vive of old-age restaurant with new edition. This is one of the most historic restaurant, standing tall since 1939. There is a nostalgia vive to this place with goes with the decor and ambience.Ive been here with my friends and I enjoyed the live music along with the food. We ordered Chicken A La Kiev (my favourite), Chello Kabab Sizzler and Chicken Strauganoff.The service was smooth, the manager of this place makes sure food is served on time and every ones food request is attended.I would recommend you to try Chicken A La Kiev if youre visiting Triancas.

The food and drinks are pretty great - they have recently introduced craft coffee which I think is a great addition. The staff is attentive so you wouldnt have a problem with your order or queries, if any. I recommend the Beckti in Lemon Butter Sauce, Pad Thai, Caramel Custard, and Drums of Heaven.

Trincas always ring some special distant bells to my ears since my childhood days... Its always a warm place to revisit and cherish old memories.Todays lunch was a special one. And celebration always calls for specialties... The place changed a lot since my last visit, yet the warmth was same. The paintings and photographs are still appealing and the staffs are like the same.The menue was simple. Soups (Hot n sour and sweet corn) and Dragon chicken (favorite) for starters and for main course, there was mixed fried rice and King Pao Chicken. I personally feel the chicken could be a little bit more spicier but we added our own vinegar soaked chillies to accommodate our gustatory cravings! And the Cinnamon apple pie as desert was lovely! Virgin Mary (my all time favorite) may not have much takers but blue bliss was indeed blissful.The Ming room offered us all these grandiosity with a pocket pinch of just around 2500/-.However I couldnt hide my disappointment because of the increasingly cold behavior of the staffs; they were still the courteous waiters I could remember but the subtle gestures showed that something was missing. Maybe it was my Chappal, maybe it was my tired face after running straight into the restaurant after a busy OPD... I dont know. But I do know, that thats temporary. The beautiful afternoon would be something more permanent....🙂All I can request Trincas, please dont judge a book by its cover; intelligence and compassion have nothing to do with a shabby appearance. Besides this, the follow up this restaurant does with me through their latest dish updates and articles is crazy good. Using digital media to keep customers engaged and updated is magical. After 9 band gets change and they play non hindi songs mostly.

They converted the tea room to a restaurant and added ‘floor shows’Going through the memories, you will come to know that in the 1970s, Trincas attracted celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Satyajit Ray, Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Tiger Pataudi, Sharmila Tagore, Kabir Bedi, and the West Indian Cricket team (talked with Owner). The place with a certain heritage is always special to me. In this covid phase they are taking appropriate measures. Some of our office colleague visited few days ago. We had bhetki, fish and chips and some other drinks. In main course we had lasagna. All of them were very satisfactory. Additionally, a band was performing so melodiously that our enjoyment multiplied several times. I recommend a visit.

But then again, one must keep in mind that its a fine dining restaurant. From 6pm onwards, the restaurant makes special provisions for their singers to sing for the audience.

Great place at the Park street area, Hop in with family/friends for a dine in. I visited the Bar cum Restaurant which you have to enter from the sideways rather than the main entrance on main road. Staff was good and behaved pretty decently rather than other old bars/restaurant in that area. Quite cost effective and decent crowd

This is an age-old restaurant that is still standing amidst all the new places that are cropping up every other day. There is a nostalgic vibe to this place with its decor and ambience. The light is really dim, which to be honest made me a little uncomfortable. Coming to the food, their signature chicken drums of heaven was fantastic and the lobster thermidor was quite nice. However you can give the prawn cocktail a miss. There was too much mayonnaise to even taste the prawn. The service was a bit hurried even though the restaurant was not very crowded for a weekday late lunch hour.

I was in Trincas with my school friends last Sunday. Experience was awesome. Food was delicious and Music was soothing. Staffs were very helpful and cooperative. I would specially like to mention the name of their Manager, Mr. Jagannath Chakraborty popularly known as Joy. He was very helpful and ensured that we enjoy the time to the fullest. Our special thanks to him. I will again visit this place whenever I will get chance and would recommend others to visit also.

I have visited Trincas..more than any other restaurant in the city..with my father, friends, wife..never found their warmth and hospitality lacking. Just stopped over yesterday for my wifes favourite Cream of Chicken Soup.. nothing more. Yet as their first customer of the day..they treated us warmly..u cud try endless chinese and indian dishes..drinks..mocktails..kebabs..its all good.if u ever manage to catch a live concert over there..consider urself privileged to experience history..its always a pleasure..

Trincas reminds you of old Calcutta, dating back to the 80s. The ambience is just like that of a classic old wooden bar and live music and intellectual conversations over whiskey and great food. The food here is great too. Especially the continental dishes. Trincas does its continental dishes really well. My personal favorites are the Chicken/Prawn Tetrazzini. Finger foods like fish and chips are a local favourite too. They also have a wide range of Thai and Chinese dishes. The rustic and vintage ambience of Trincas and Park Street makes you feel a certain sense of nostalgia you havent felt before, and thats why you should visit Trincas if youre in Calcutta.

Trincas offers two types of seating A) We can chose to sit n enjoy live performances by bands but it will be hard to hear anyone else talking B) We can sit in the semi sound proof room where we can enjoy chatting as usual. The food here is very tasty and the ambience is awesome. The service is a little bit slow but the staff is courteous and polite. It is average costly.

The coffee roasters is a great place for a gossip with your friends. Try the cold brew coffee and they will always make you want more. Currently offer is going on for unlimited coffee refills at the same price of a single coffee.My only suggestion is that the door to the bar should be closed as a lot of noise comes from there.

Classic vintage restaurant to enjoy some great food over live music and chilled beer

So recently I visited after a long time with a friend of mine. And on my friends recommendation I tried there freshly brewed cold coffee and the coffee was just awesome. I had 3 glass of coffee. Yes you heard it right they serve this coffee in a wine glass with a layer of frauth on top of it. Highly recommended do visit and please have it.

Lovely place, one of the best bars in the city.I had visited the place around 7 pm and it was filled with people enjoying the live music. The ambience was beautiful. The service provided was also good. Enjoyed my time there.I had ordered cognac and dry chilli chicken. Somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. The place is iconic in Calcutta, one could hardly ask for a better location. The food was inexpensive, but lacked that finishing touch, like the prawn cocktail had too much Tabasco and the prawn sizzler was overfried. However, to be totally fair, Im going to revisit this review with the hope of listening to some live music in the evening. The promise of good entertainment and better food yet beckons.

Although we went in the afternoon, we couldnt witness the magic of the Live music being played at Trincas. French fries was good, fish chips was bad. Chicken garlic and chicken crispy was good. American corn was also good. No smoking inside.
