Previously it was one of the coolest and aesthetically good open air theatre. But few years on after the renovation the quality of its sound reflection has detoriated.The call of time have surely downgraded the vibrant ambience of Jadavpur University crowd of once it was.

It is very big and beautifully built.. to reach here you can enter the university from gate no. 5... Sound system is very nice..

One of the best places in the campus to hangout and enjoy. This is where all the fests take place and the convocation ceremony. Technically, it is not open-air as it is covered now. The acoustics in the place is really good and it is a joy for performers to take the stage. It is a nice platform for upcoming performers.

Many fest are being held here like the most famous one Sanskriti. Also many E-Cell events happen here and also its not for anyone outside out the college. Its a nice open place where you can enjoy the shows, theres a lot of space everywhere.

It is especially famous for OAT night in fest (cultural programme through a week arranged by students)and convocation programs. This theater is big enough to fit hundreds of people during live music concert. Sound quality of the theater is okay and the lights are good too. Many good and famous bands have performed and have enjoyed playing with the colorful and liberal audience.Tensile Fabric and Multicell Polycarbonate sheet roof with steel tubular structure over Open air Theatre of apprximate area of 40000 sq.ft. Cost- 6.00 cr. The project completed in the year of 2014.The theatre has also saved its place for inappropriate things like molestation. The theatre is quite big of course and student are left to be themselves during events and during one of the live music events, few boys were accused of molesting a girl and this news also had its place in The Telegraph newspaper.Jadavpur University is a place that grows on you. A place that teaches you so much and eventually makes you fall in love with it. A place that will hold a new surprise each day. This is the open air theater of Jadavpur University. All the major functions of the university is held here. But on regular basis it is closed and only open during any function or festivals. The capacity of this theater is around 3000. There is a canteen near by.

This is the biggest amphitheatre of JU. It is commonly known as OAT. Orientations of FET are arranged here. Our annual cultural program Sanskriti is also arranged here. Its built quality is also unique. It has accommodation of around 1.5 k people.
