Its primarily a lodge, which hosts wedding ceremony, anniversary, party etc. The open land before the building is awesome with vool decoration group attached. Most interestingly this place is living a house, large arena, rooms are broad enough for any special moments and Not so large as auditorium. Nice place for arranging ceremonies in the pandemic period. Quite spacious, particularly the dining area. It is basically an old house, giving a vibe of old Kolkata. The interior of the house is also reminds of century old periods. The rooms are very large and decorated with very beautiful Pata-chitras, Bengals traditional style of art.

Highly unprofessional! We booked this place for a wedding ceremony. They provided written document (signed by both parties) confirming that this house is booked for that day and also took advance check.Later that day they called us to inform that the place is already booked and told us to take our check back.They told that they did not check that it is already booked. Such mismanagement and disappointing experience!

I had my wedding here. It is a huge traditional place with spacious rooms and 2 to 3 washrooms. Stuffs are cordial. Very neat and clean. You can have your event outside the garden too.

The property has a big enough lawn to accommodate the buffet section with adequate number of tables. The building itself has a vintage look and feel and its pretty well maintained. Located right on Southern Avenue, it is good choice for traditional Indian weddings.

GhoseBari is a large 2 storied old residential building converted to a marriage/party/banquet hall. It has a huge lawn on its south for open air partying.It is situated on a posh locality, Southern Avenue of Calcutta opposite Dhakuria Lake and very close to Gol Park.

Old Bungalow with Garden in front makes a good venue for marriage parties. Garden is not maintained though.

So when it comes to bengali wedding, we prefer to present wedding to our guest in a Bengali style. This place is perfect for that. You enter to a neat old well decorated DALAN BARI and now you can feel the bangaliana. Spacious, great location and the best part of location is its neither far from public communication and still uncrowded. If planning for a place near gariahat go for it. But I am unaware the charges they levy. But you wont certainly not regret for a guest count of not more than 350.

It also houses a school named GREENAGE MONTESSORI HOUSE which is excellent for kids from age of 2 years.

Ghosh Bari is situated opposite to Nazrul Mancha bus stop and is very near to whatsup cafe.The house is very big and is given for rent as a community Hall . I have attended two marriages. There are 2 floors which are accessible and the food arrangement can be made in the lawn.
