A hall for fine arts and performing arts purpose ....a good capacity of 645 approx seat ,with chilled air conditioning auditorium. A bit expensive tickets , but in a very good condition. Security wont allow to take your personal water bottle with you...

Went there for Sarode festival. Nice ambiance with fantastic seating arrangement. It is air conditioned.

This airconditioned auditorium is situated at the basement of Birla Mandir on Ashutosh Choudhury Avenue near Ballygunge Phari. Comfortable seats with ample leg room and superior acoustics makes it a perfect venue for plays, dance dramas, musical soirees etc. Also you have a small snack counter available inside. Car parking is not available nearby.

Have thought of it being a well equipped auditorium, but found they got just 4 mics to support where the hanging mocs are missing and also lot of other support systems are missing. Even checked there support staff talking harshly with show coordinators. It makes you to feel very low about this Auditorium.

It was nice auditorium with ac and comfortable seat..It is on road so u can see it from transport...Upon the sabhaghar there is a temple which is also so beautifulBut in the sabhaghar there is lack of networkThey have no parking spot also..

I went here for attending a seminar of Ojas life. It was awesome. Not just the seminar but the Audi itself was great. The seats were extremely comfortable and cozy. The audio output speakers were good.The construction of the same is done amazingly and to my surprise it is done under the main temple building(Birla Mandir). Overall it was a great experience visiting this place.

Located on a really chaotic narrow lane so waiting for the auditorium to open is a bit of a hassle. Otherwise its a good one. Well maintained, good sound system. Seats are comfortable.The food counter outside isnt much to talk about. Very average coffee and sandwich.Security is nothing much to talk about. They do random stuff. You can take almost anything inside if youre a little smart. A big cause of concern normally but not for Calcutta. It is a safe heaven for the obvious reasons.If youre on a self drive, you will be harrowed. Very few parking slots in that dimly lit narrow lane.I have been here for select shows and plays and I have enjoyed being here.

As usual one of the very well ambient place for quality programs... But one single reason for the rating is; the casual approach. Before handing over the hall to the program authority one must check all the things properly. They had their AC malfunctioning. After 4 hrs of continuous apology they had it working. Its not about us. Its about the stature of the city to the international performers. Please take care from now onwards. Otherwise a must attend place in the city.

Very nice auditorium, fantastic acoustics. My 2 star rating for the following reasons:1. AC not working : malfunctioning air-conditioning with a houseful of audience (experienced on 02-Dec-2018) is very uncomfortable for everyone especially for the artistes.2. Washroom maintenance is unexpectedly bad. Hand drier doesnt work. Toilets are stinking. Urinals auto flush does not work. No liquid soap in the dispenser. No paper tissue in the dispenser.

Have a few problem with their acoustics. Otherwise, its a great hall. Nice sitting arrangement, sloppy view for higher rows and the beautiful interior decor, over all a nice experience.

Auditorium is good, located in good locality but lacks certain modern-day amenities. The place needs a Lift or an Escalator, Wash room on the same floor, a well stocked canteen and the wheelchair compliant entrance. Hope to see the changes soon !!

Wonderful auditorium. Got an opportunity to listen Hindustani classical music concert here. It was really a nice experience.

Great show by Rupam Islam. Parking spaces were difficult to find. Facilities inside the auditorium was adequate.

The auditorium was good but their rules and regulations were very disgusting.1. Outside foods and water(Even for kids)is not allowed inside the Auditorium.2. Children less than 8 years old are not allowed inside.3. Male security person is checking womens bag.We have visited the temple as well. In that temple from the priest to security everybody were asking for money.

It is located beside The Jain temple,few hundred metres away from Quest mall. This is not a big auditorium but definitely great. Sound systems are very very good. I have visited this auditorium for rock music concerts in which PA sound may be an issue. But it was good. Well maintained, neat and clean. Provission for drinking water. Food and beverages including water bottles are not allowed inside the auditorium. No parking lot or structure. paid parking on road is available.

Nice auditorium with great acoustics and air conditioning. The cons are - the auditorium is in the basement, so there is a stair climb up or down, both are kind of difficult for people who are advanced in age or those whore differently enabled. If there is an elevator/or a lift, theyre not usually available for general audience, at least I didnt notice any. The second one is minor but could be an irritant for self-driven cars that one may have a pre or post show fair walk.

It is an awesome place and the shows it puts up is also superb. The only reason why I didnt give it a 5-star is the food. It is not good at all and the people selling are really really arrogant.

Booking needs to made in advance from their office.The auditorium seats around 600.Children below 8 yrs are not allowed inside the auditoriumNo Food and Water are allowed inside the auditorium.No outside food is allowed backstage or for the artists and audience.For any food and beverage requirements you will have to take it from their authrised caterer (who charges a good amount for basic veg stuff!)

Great place, actually i visited it for a event and theres one main hall and its huge, to get an idea its bigger than an average cinema hall. Whatever event takes place in there, the food will be veg coz its under the Birla Mandir. So, as all cinema hall it has a screen big enough but I dont have any guess on how big it is. The place is mostly hired for big events in a general guess coz i visit it every year for my event and its huge coz atleast above 1000 people come every year and not less than that for sure.
