Unprofessional Staff and The Most Politised School ever.Teachers here do business and politics in the name of education, getting here admission is not difficult at all, but once you are admitted, you will get to know its reality.Each and every teacher gives private tution to the same school students, the teachers indirectly will blackmail you to take private tutions from them and if you reject them, they will not give you marks in projects, internal assessments and if possible they wont supass you at all. Not even that every teacher charges around 800 to 1000 per month and if u admit your child to them, they will take the full amount for an entire year i.e. rs.1000 for 12 months (1000×12=12000) at a time , so that no student can left their tution in the midway.They intentionally puts pressure on students by saying that we want students to have knowledge but in reality to convince them so that , students join their private tutuion .They put class 11 chemistry syllabus in class 8 and english shakespeare in class 6 and 200 marks test in maths! And that for all the subjects So that the students get scared and take private tutions from them.Also apart from that discipline here is almost nil, no class of people at all.The rating you see here is all from the school students, so dont get confuse with that.I recommend all the parents not to admit their child in this place, atleast.

I came here 12 jan 2020 for ISRO exam. Exam environment is very good and staffs are helpfull.If you want to come here then you have to ask the bus conductor for CA market stopage and then follow the google map.And from Ultadanga or Hudco more many buses are available such as 47/1,saltlake mourigram mini etc..

It is a very good school and I am a student of Salt Lake school. I really do love my school . The teachers are very friendly as well as the other staff members. It is an ideal school where children could be send to study make memories for their school life. The seniors are also very good and helpful. The system for exams are also very convenient and it helps the child to understand studies. The teachers are always eager to let them understand why they Dont and so I am in deep love with this school . If you are saying that is is a bad school or giving it one star I really cannot think even in my dreams what your school is so special about. I love SLS and it is the best school to me.

Classes during Covid 19 pandemic in SLS KolkataWe are writing to you on behalf of many concerned parents of students from many classes regarding certain issues that we think that the school authorities should address while conducting online classes / assigning homework etc. during this Covid 19 pandemic.We are all going through unprecedented times the likes of which the world has not seen before in 100 years. This has put enormous strain on almost everybody, most notably on students ( young kids) in lower classes.We regret to tell you that the way SLS is conducting classes in the name of imparting education to students is not helping the students at all, instead it is creating a more chaotic, pressure cooker like situation for students and parents alike. We are sure that teachers are also feeling the pain and this arrangement is not helping anyone in a meaningful way.We understand that the school is trying its best to impart education during such difficult times, but please consider what the students are going though. Every day they are subjected to 4 classes, starting at 7: 30 am that continues all the way to 11: 30 am for 5 days a week. So, kids are being subjected to almost 4 hours of screen time (laptops, mobile phones, tablets etc.) every day / week. This equates to 80 hours of screen time every month.Is this really necessary? Have you thought about what effect this will have on their eyes, brain etc. that are still in development stage? Irreparable damage will occur to these children as any medical doctor will agree, because of the long exposure to screens on a daily basis that has been ongoing for more than 3 months now.Why not do classes on alternate days and leave the rest for students to study on their own. This has been successfully implemented in other schools in Kolkata and elsewhere in the country so that the screen time for kids is reduced. Please have some faith in students and parents, and we are sure they will do well. In times like these not everything needs to be spoon fed to students. Allow them some freedom and they will rise up to the occasion.Last Sunday (July 5th, 2020), parents got a notice that students need to bring their homework exercise books to school on the very next day. So, in the middle of a pandemic, where Covid 19 cases are increasing by more than 20,000 cases a day in India, you are expecting hundreds of students and parents to come in physically and deposit homework copies in the school premises by giving them a 24-hour notice?Have you thought about the consequences for your actions? Will you take responsibility if any such student or parent gets infected with Covid 19 virus because of your reckless and frankly dangerous action? In a time when social distancing is the only way to stop the spread of this deadly disease you are forcing hundreds of students and parents to make a dangerous decision to congregate in the school physically for the sake of submitting their homework.We hope that moving forward, SLS authorities will take a hard look at how the whole online class, homework assignment situation is going to make sure that everyone is comfortable in doing class and no undue stress is added to kids and parents on top of the whole stressful situation that the whole world is going through.We hope that this message serves as a way to do some introspection for SLS authorities and decision makers and raise some questions in the way classes are being conducted now, and over the last 3 months. As parents, we can definitely tell you that students are not being helped by the way things are going and we hope you can take some meaningful action to correct the situation.We are all in this together and we hope that SLS authorities will take corrective action such that students can benefit from classes and carry on meaningfully during these challenging times. This will benefit teachers as well while they carry on their duty.Concerned parents of many students of SLS school

First thing it is my mothers account and so my name is hridita banerjee Actually SLS or salt lake school is a second home to me as I am a student of that school and the school comprises of the best teachers because you can express them all your problems .The most important thing is that the education system is very planned as there are unit tests in every week starting from June to July (consists of 10 marks test)and then the block test starts.......and there is sports also if you think your child is a sports lover then there is different classes of yoga,karate (starting from class 5) and physical education .........there is RHAPSODY which will complete the review which is creative activity as rhapsody (annual exhibition and interschool championship)and for the annual exhibition all students have to start the projects may be before a month of rhapsody.............. thats all but I will recommend you for this school so thank you for reading it and bye...

This school is like my second home I know everyone and every teachers here and every teacher is very affectionate to students but sometime some teachers are harsh sometimes only not everything its not like luxurious schools with extra comfortable seats and high quality mahogany desks but is a simple school with simple rules and regulations and some excellent teacher some are good at teaching and some are good at mixing with the students with a excellent sense of humour and very clean and tidy but some naughty juniors who just make the walls a little bit dirty by drawing on them but thats a cute speciality with creative and imaginary drawings and the staff who are excellent at doing their work and are ready for every challenge .I am just a normal average student who loves science from salt Lake schoolAditya Banerjee class 6-D roll 1😆And our school has an excellent football team.💯💯
