I went to get my annual eye check up done during covid 19 lockdown scenario. The authorities focused a lot on hygiene, specially temperature screening and hand sanitisation. Masks are a must for entry. But the social distancing measures are not upto the mark. The registration hall in front of the waiting area is congested.But I am satisfied as the process was very smooth and there was no delay in the whole process. The staffs are friendly but my ma, who was also visiting the place along with me, found that the receptionist was incompetent in managing the work. My ma was given another date for tests that was supposed to be conducted on the same date but did not happen as the receptionist doesnt listen to patients properly.But for me, the overall experience was exemplary. My doctor, Bhaskar Mukherjee, is very polite and explains everything clearly.The consultation fees is Rs 300.

One of the oldest eye hospital in kolkata, with best doctors, modern operation facilities, and helping medical staffs. Not a place only to squeeze patients without giving adequate treatment. A place of satisfaction and less money.

Very good hospital for eye treatment. Dr bhaskar Mukherjee is very experienced doctor there.

Never visit Dr. Bhaskar Mukherjee. He is utterly rude and doesn’t even listen to the patients. A doctor is supposed to be patient enough to listen to his patients who visits him in distress. And such behaviour is highly disappointing! Shame on such doctors.

Its a nice place for eye treatment and check up. It has a snacks food stall. But it is very crowded. It will take 1 hour to 2 hours to for the checkup with doctor. So patients and their relatives should be prepared to spend a lot of time here.

This eye clinic near Gariahat Pantaloons. Used to be the best eye care facility in the past but the quality of treatment is deteriorating. Post operation check-up or follow up procedure is very poor. They are not so cooperative also with their patients. They are not guiding the post operation restriction also properly. The waiting time is too long.

Its a nice place for eye treatment. Stuffs are very cooperative and cordial. Waiting lounge is very good with adjunct caffetoria..

Good place, receptionist hospitality nice as well as doctor also consulted well. 1st half relatively less patients. Second half huge rush will take 3 to 4 hrs to meet doctor.

One of the worst hospital for retina department. Please i request to all not to visit the retina department of this hospital. My mother has a serious retina problem . So the retina specialist of the hospital told us to do an operation there. In the operation theatre the surgeons were very casual about the operation all are very unskilled. They talking for hours before doing the operation. Before operation the doctor( Dr. Abhijit Dutta) told us that he will put oil in my mothers eye which will be taken out after 3 months but after the operation he told us that he will remove the oil just after 3 weeks because many complications has started to arise. We were in panic and took my mother to hyderabad. There the doctors told that operation has not been done correctly. The surgeon has put excessive quantity of oil thats why the complications arrived. Then there wihout taking out the oil they do some small surgeries to reduce the complications. And after 3 months they removed the oil. Tge doctors in nihar munsi are totally skill less . Please i request youbto not attend the hospiatl specially the retina department of Dr. Abhijit Dutta

Receptionists need to learn how to listen and behave properly with customers. They should learn to understand patients requirement and act accordingly. Always being rude and show as patients are at their mercy is not good for hospital reputation. Hospital management should immidiately take some measure to educate receptionists on customer dealing. This is applicable specially with two old ladies with specs. We went to them and asked if the call for check up will take long so that we can quickly complete a work in a place within 10 mins of the hispital and come back. They started threatning us saying that if we step out even for a moment they will push the serial number from 3 to 15. I am not sure what is the rational behind it. They could have been explained the required time politely we we could have been act accordingly. Everytime we went there average waiting time is 1.5 hrs. Even today we are sitting for more than 30 mins by the time we could have been completed our work and come back. They need to respect everyones time. Otherwise the hospital is good for eye check up.

This eye clinic near Gariahat Pantaloons, has modern equipments and adequately trained staff. Treatment is a bit expensive though.
