Manpasand is another very good Indian store. It has very good Indian store things options.It does provide regular use items like vegetables, potato, onions, garlic, fruits, idli and dosa batter, sweets, spices, biscuits, chocolates, snacks items, rice, rice flour and many more.It has live snacks section which serve hot vada pav, samosa, bhaji(pakodas) and other items.It also has meat section which provides fresh chicken and goat meats. It has other meat options too.

Today I bought kaaju Katli and laddu. As usual, adulterated sweets. There is no taste of cashew in kaaju katli. Frozen sweets would taste better than what they sell fresh. Not worth for the prize!!.

Review is for india gate inside manpasand. Its a good place. Takes long time to get order becoz its always busy but the food is good. They are slowly expanding menu, kitchen is very tiny but available items are many.

If you ever need any products that are south Asian or Indian food products or even some really good Halal beef goat or chicken this is your place! Went all the stores are closed during the holidays or storms Manpasad is open. Love this place.

Ive shopped at this location since it opened. However, the last few months has been a pretty bad experience. The store is getting dirtier, very disorganized, especially at the checkout lanes. Some of the basics are not easy to find, its not like theres a shortage of tea, coffee and certain snacks, this has been the case even before Covid. The last visit was not pleasant, there were expired Dairy products in the refrigerators. So, its a hope that customers will not pay attention to the dates or is the mind set that, it works in India so it will work here. The little shack where they are selling prepared snacks ( before the exit), can the people serving food atleast wear a mask and keep the area more hygienic. The area looks like a dilapidated shack on the side of the road. So, the notion holds true, focus on opening multiple locations, keep the cash flow steady and ignore how the place looks. The owners need to take a trip to Desi Brothers on Parmer, definitely a very different experience!

Good store with fresh Indian groceries, spices and vegetables. New stock of veggies generally comes on Thursdays

I was literally standing outside the store exactly at 9 pm and just needed one item. I let them know that but they did not let me in. And the way they answered that call was also so very rude. I drove 15 miles to get to this location and gave this business thousands of dollars and they could not let me in for just one item. There were people inside who would take more than half an hour to come out. I really couldn’t understand how letting just one person in would change anything. It’s not like there was a line waiting to get in that if they accept my request everyone will follow my lead. The staff were very rude. Really disappointed and I am never coming back here ever again. These kinds of encounters really affect customers and they carry it for a while. So thanks for nothing.

Good Indian grocery shop in Austin.Manpasand in North Austin is bigger than the South Austin.Veggies are fresh to pick and theres an separate section for household & pooja items.Home made Chappathis are available to pick up and fresh stocks are stacked up every Thursday.Multiple rice varieties for briyani/cutlery items/coffee powder/Indian cosmetic items like vicco/Dabur are also available

Mostly good food, sadly there are plenty or bugs and flies near the vegetables and fruits. The floor and shelves are dusty and most of the cashiers are rude but other than that everything is amazing!

Moderate Indian grocery store with all southern n northern items. Vegetable and fruits produce is not good. The big aloo samosas are good and I always like them. On weekends mostly have big waiting lines for billing.

I will never purchase goat meat from this store.Meat was smelling badly and Spolied meat and fresh full of Bones maintaing the worst quality of the meat. I dont recommend buying meat from this store.

Check your bill and stuff after you buy. I have run into issues with my bill and the things in my bag. Sometime the day weight is way more than I purchased and sometimes the item is a more expensive than the one I purchased. When this happened first two times I thought this is a genuine mistake but this happened more than 3 times which made me think that there is something wrong with this store. When I showed them the bill on all the occasions they fixed the bill but not sure how many people check bill all the time. Not sure if anyone else has experienced the same.

Big nd has good collection of all desi items, but its costly compared to other desi stores, in my opinion.However, there are few desi ite md which ull find only here.

This is quiet big Supermarket and I see they have variety grocery option. However, the vegetables are not fresh.The arrangement of grocery item is not very well and it is very confusing to get items without help of people working in store. So these are the two things they have to improve.Also they have a decent cafeteria l.

Very strict in asking customers to wear face mask maintain social distancing and very neat and clean.Good atmosphere.Value for money for what you buy vegetables etc.

Social distancing is unheard of! Nothing worse than people sneezing on your back. However, the store has great retail items for Indian Cuisine and lifestyle. The little cafe at the corner, inside, is wonderful.

A vast store of Indian groceries & food articles. If you do not notice an item here, it will be unavailable elsewhere too in Austin.A prominent idol of Lord Ganesh is on display at the entry point & causes you to feel at home.Plentifully stocked & well laid out racks. Display boards make it easy to search the required item.The vegetable section seems to be somewhat crowded. You need manoeuvring the shopping cart in this part very skillfully.Just near the door, there is a little section for children to play. Lots of toys are offered here to keep them engaged so that Mom Pop can do the shopping leisurely.

Good Indian grocery store. Amazing veggie selection. I wish they had more fruits to choose from. Just about anything you are looking for to live an Ayurvedic lifestyle or cook anything from tt part of the world, you can find here.

This location is ok, kind of crowded every time I have been there. And seems to be missing the middle eastern products isle. The location off the 35 its neater and has more product variety.

First time here, they do have A LOT of items. and really good prices. I would reccomend stopping here if ou ever want goat meat they have it in many ways just go to the meat setion. Produce section has some great finds and some that I have no idea what they are.

Pretty good with more options and now that they have the halal market inside, it is an one stop shop for me. Veggies have been fresh on most days, though I would pick Friday and Saturday morning.The chat stall is decent with a few days being amazing and few days being ok

Quality of vegetables is not good all the time, but thats how Austin Indian stores are sadly.

Store needs to be kept clean. Everything all over the place. We went in today and looks like something was in air tingling the nose-maybe chilli powder. Store needs lot of organization and cleanliness.

During COVID no liquid hand soap in the restrooms when I visited on 08/08/20. I reported to the owner, he simply answered it comes with the wall mirror and it will take a week to fix it. Come on, cant you not spend 10$ to keep 2 small bottles? Treats customer as this what you deserve type of treatment! Hope they learn and change to improve the quality of services!

Dishonest store. Do not buy meats. We paid 12 dollars for roughly over a pound of goat meat (cut in pieces). I made it today and spent 2 hours in preparation and cooking and what not and it was purely bones and fat. My husband and I were not even able to take single bite that had proper meat to gravy ratio.Dry stuff: everything is stale and off taste.Sweet: got khoya barfi.. pathetic sugary atrocityI could have spend 12 dollars in biryani pot or what not and could have gotten better overall deal. Pathetic dishonest butcher and overall store. Drive 2 miles down the road and go to H mart.

I have been shopping in here for almost an year , and to my SURPRISE the very recent purchase shivered me. I noticed a glass piece in one of the LADDUs I have purchased in their store last week. When I started chewing it, I could not bite it as the thing was very hard and to my fear when I took it out from mouth I saw a glass piece with sharp edge. THANK GOD I have not given this to kids else it would have been a disaster. I urge the MANAGEMENT to take solid and appropriate CARE while packing these LADDUs and I am sure other left out glass pieces would have been in remaining LADDUs somewhere whoever bought it. GOOD LUCK!!!Hoping this is one of a kind thing and WONT REPEAT. :-(

If you are looking for indian, Pakistan, Bangadesh, nepal, srilankan and few Arab grocery, this place is has most of it. Service is great. Items are way too pricey. Frozen selection of food is limited compared to similar or some small size stores. Fresh veg is great. Meat is good. Fish seems pricey. Weekly rebated price is great.

I bought sweets during Diwali and none of them tastes good. The grocerries are overpriced. The staff are really nice with customers but not the owner of the store.

The place is big but very poor in customer friendliness. Never acknowledge the customer. No smiling face from the counter staff. Maybe the management thinks this is all the customer deserve.

This pertains to the CHAT CORNER and not the main store. I purchased two paneer curry dishes. Both were watered down and terribly bad. You may even charge more, but selling dishes with such bad quality is not ok. Both dishes tasted more like watered down tomato paste. Receipt did not have a break down of items purchased. The person at counter neither handed over receipt nor left it in bag.

Excellent collection of items including produce, Indian confectionary and other things. A must visit for people within the area who like Indian food and want to try new things.

Large store, however, do not expect much personal service, items not labeled that well, and prices are not a bargain compared to other Indian or Pakistani markets.I did find some incredible rice, which was unlike I had found and any other market. I enjoyed it very much. However, I purchased a refrigerated individual beverage. The top of the beverage would not release when I got to my car. Trying to go back in the store, and exchanging this beverage for something else, was very difficult. The staff wasnt able to find the beverage in their computer, even though I had just purchased it and had the receipt. They ended up taking the beverage back, and charging me more money for a substitute beverage.When the store is selling a defective item, it wouldve been nice for them to apologize for that, and just smile and hand you over a beverage that had a lid that opens right.Customer service. The shop is dirty and carries old food stock. Staff was rude when I tried to point it out. Worst, I fell sick after eating food from their snack bar. I can believe if it is a covid hotspot. STAY AWAY. There are better Indian grocery stores nearby.

If old/expired stock, rude employees (esp. vijaya shouting at customers) weren’t good enough reasons not to visit this store, take one more. Official HOTSPOT for Covid. Absolutely no covid guidelines followed. Management takes no precaution to ensure sanitization of carts/counters/aisles, no masks worn by female staff who manage online pickup orders, and people crowding across the entire store. Think twice before you want to risk your health by shopping in this store.

Amazing Store! Has an extent amount of things. Their produce is fresh and their store is very clean. I must say that they also have variety of things in their Pooja section. Provides great customer service. If you ask for a certain thing that they don’t have, they will bring it in the store which is very nice of them. Overall great place.

They have all kinds of grocery items and essentials needed for Indian cooking. The wide range of products they have is commendable.

Massive Indian store and you can everything you are looking for. Samosa chat in the small restaurant was fantastic.

There are some aspects conspicuously absent causing inconvenience to the point of annoyance:- There ought to be at least two scales to weigh in the fresh produce section.- Prices on a number of items are either missing or dont match with the products on shelves.- Nonavailability of ties is very inconvenient. The bagged stuff particularly in the fresh produce section keeps dropping on the floor. Even cashiers dont carry any.

This place has worst customer service and very rude staff. Very poorly managed curbside pickup. Multiple follow ups are needed to get your order. I would recommend Desi Brothers over this place, desi brothers will do same day curbside and also do not charge $5 extra per order.
