A place where you can register your vehicle, pay taxes of your vehicle etc regarding your vehicle. Also in this place you can apply for your driving licence ( two & four wheelers both) . Here the riding tests & online test done for licence, also c/f of vehicles facility is available here. This place helps the South kolkata along with some areas of South 24 pgns citizens to solve their vehicle related issues smoothly. Although the place & staffs are good & friendly behavior, but they are slow with their work. so if you decide to go there, then you have to take a half day off from your work. For this reason I have rated the four stars. Overall the place is good.

The place is awesome with large space and greenary. The place is calm and all the work done here is fast than before. Everything is fully sorted and long queues and waiting are not there.

Its good. I was there for my driving test, motor vehicle officer came on time. My experience was hassle free.

The service is not good. There is a lack of mentality in human work.

Except a few employees, all other officers and staffs need to polish their behaviour, specially the man sitting at the verification counter. They must know that they are not doing any charity rather they are providing a service which is their duty, entrusted by the Govt. and for which they are being paid salary. The Learner test was scheduled to start from 11 but it actually started on 11:45. Kept us standing for 45 minutes without any reason.

System is good but they are 1 hour late in their scheduled timing. They opens office at 11 am but official procedures really start from 12 pm onwards.

Okk okk experience. Some people gets fast service some people gets late service. Depends on situation.

Very good experience and every employees are helpful.

Went here in March 2021. Employees seemed pretty helpful and Co-operative. Work was completed within a good time.

Average infrastructure. Time taking process. Rude staff and unorganised. Govt should work on it. Wasting peoples time intensionally. Parking space easily available thats the good thing and you can find paid Xerox and printing services near main gate. Location is good.

You cannot do any kind of work without brokers, Pay them, work done under supervision of officials

This place can never prosper till the corruption and touts in this area are removedWork is intentionally delayed if you try to get work done via proper channel!

Officers needs to be more co operative and public friendly. Brokers are more entertained by the employees than the general public specially the vehicals, technical officer. Govt should look into this vigilantly. One window system must be in place to eradigate publiç harassment.

You need to provide correct or more phone number to contact.. I have tried several occations but unable to contact. this time I am trying for last 15 mins but could not reach you.. I have applied for address correction and since 19 January it is lying pending in counter MV8 as shown. I could not talk even to any one for an expected time to complete the work.

Incompetent and lazy staff with zero regards for customers

Can anyone please tell me if there is change in process of issuing new DL. I submitted and completed all process and my 2 wheeler DL is approved now. But RTO is saying they are not dispatching the DL by post, applicant have to take print out by their own from portal. Is it true? NO smart card from RTO?

Washrooms are not all washed for the last decade!! Officers arrive at least 2 hours late.

This place is situated just at the left lane to the Behala Flying Club premises.The buildings are new with vast open spaces and land adjoining to the office. This ensures a good acope for lot of infrastructure development.

Very bad experience .... facing lots of trouble for licenceing... broker are always thaken advantage every counter ,they are not followed any line and they are privileged to entry every door without maintainting line....If you are applying self ,then each and every documents will check one by one and they will harrest every single point but if your documents form signed by any broker you are thaken extra privilege....but successfully i completed my license procedure without help of any broker...

Public Vehicles Department, Behala Unit has been inaugurated by MIC, Transport, Government of West Bengal. It will fully start its function on 02.01.2018. It has big area having total 15 police station. Near about 3 lakhs vehicles have come under this unit of PVD. The place is near to Behala Flying Club. It is surrounded by beautiful natural view.

Very bad experience i had, stuff are very lazy took long time for a simple work. They not even response properly if you ask any question to them or inquiry for anything. Their attitude is just like hell

Worst service and attiude of staffs however that is expected. The most shocking thing is that they are asking for Rs. 50 / Rs. 100 for fixing number plates. Am sure that the higher officials knows about it but no end to the corruption..

The road via Behala Thana was terrible. Too narrow lane with Auto,Rickshaw,Bus all hustling wothout any proper traffic discipline. Very unsafe for driving your new vehicle to the RTO office.

We are a NRI family,staying out of country more than 28 years but the experience what I have yesterday was superb.I went RTO-Behala office yesterday alongwith my wife,met one of the top Official Mr.Surojit Das,he found quite busy at work and under pressure but maintain an excellent relation with public and his subordinates staffs.He explained the queries of the people in the excellent way and shown them the right path.He maintained super manner and having a very down to the earth attitude.We love this kind of environment.People need to be PATIENCE and set their quires in the constructive way so that it does not consume lot of time.We need to give chance to the next person without waste of valuable time of the officials and staffs over there in the Government office.Best wishes with kind regards.Debashis Baidya and Family

Place is new and good and started functioning from 29th Jan,2018.. in just 10days of opening ,corruption has crept in.. every one working there needs Rs.50 bakshish.. giving bakshish on our own is not a problem but asking for bakshish by the employees there, will destroy the system. They started from Rs.50 after a few months theyll keep doubling the amount. For registration they asked us to report by 11/11:30am but RTO came up at 2:30pm to confirm registration. For 3 hrs you have to stand under sun. Though when RTO came up, approx 50vehicles were approved in about 10mins which is great. Ill just request them not to keep people waiting for 3hrs ..1 hour is enough. If suppose the employees family member would be there to register their vehicle,would they like to keep them wait for so long?
