Spend my three years studying in this college. As an ex student Ive experienced how negligible College administration is.Its been more than 6 months I didnt get my final Marksheet.I dont recommend anyone to get admission in CCCBA otherwise your life will be hell.

A part of the Amherst branch City College, basically for the Commerce part. The building is old and the faculties are worthless. They know nothing of conducting exams.

This is the worst college in calcutta. And ists management is very bad. I am an ex student of this college and I dont recommend any body to take admission in this college.

Campus is very nice and big. We have given full opportunities to explore the college fests and societies. Various activities and competitions are held every year here.Good college.

I have been studying in this College during one year. I have experienced this College has talented teachers. Non teaching staffs are really very active. Students of this College are very happy with the quality or standard of education. But remember one thing attendance is very very important to be a part as a student of this College.

I was there for a KMC exam ,Nice place , nice faculty ,I think that collage is effected by TMC politics a lot , the wall contains the banner of Mamta Banerjee , Its not good for students , to directly support a political party leader ,bench was old and rough , toilet was cleaned,

Dont mind seniors who studied here but it is the worst college I have ever seen.Yes I know this college is a good quality for education but there is a lack of problems here.My comment I think its helpfull for the students who were willing to pass H.S exam.I mention that its not a COED college its a boys college ok and then in every college freshers will held for the new arrived students but in this college freshers not happen,and its a night college.classes start from 4.15 P.M to 9.05 P.M. so which students have no problem regarding this they will get admission in this college but I cant prefer any student for this college. what I said its from my personal experience.

I got the worst experience in my life over here. It doesnt have the campus too. The fans of the classroom seems that it can fall any time. Very bad college.😠

Every year here so many students apply for the admission, more than the seats are available because of the very well known high reputation of this college. The campus is core of the college is very beautiful and very sincere staff and the management service are very strict to students.

Poor infrastructure,poor placement only two companies (IBM,TCS) comes to this college that also for call center jobs...No Internship provided..which will be dumb for commerce student only pen and copy cant set carrier for Bcom students.Experience required, Industrial or Companies Experience required with Out knowledge , internships, placement required for Bcom or BBA students which not provided by the college.City College of commerce and business administration system of education is only Pen and copy.So its not up to the mark

The importance of City College as one of the premier educational institutions of India rests as much in its trail-blazing efforts in the realm of education as in its association with the liberal masterminds of the 19th century Indian Renaissance. The present-day City College started as City School, founded on January 6, 1879, by the Sadharan Brahmo Samaj. It was raised to a college in 1881. B.A. classes were introduced in 1884; a Law Department came up in 1885, and M.A. classes were introduced and conducted until the new regulations of Calcutta University terminated them.Initially the college was housed in an old building, but afterwards it was shifted to another old house at 13, Mirzapur Street (now Surya Sen Street). A new building was erected in its place, the opening ceremony of which was performed in 1884 by Lord Ripon, the then Governor-General of India. In 1905, the college was brought under the control of a society called The City College Institution, now known as the Brahmo Samaj Education Society whose chief objective was to promote the cause of education as an all-enveloping process to contribute towards the all-round development and well-being of the human community.The City College Commerce Department came up in 1939 (18.07.1939.) in response to the large-scale demand among the youth of the time for quality university education in commerce. In 1940, a Commercial Bureau was set up; and in 1945, the Department of Commerce and Business Administration was formally organized. The college got affiliated to the University of Calcutta in 1961, and was also officially recognized by University Grants Commission in the same year under the U.G.C. Act [Section 2(f)].Since then the college has produced countless students of the highest calibre in all walks of life. Today City College of Commerce is one of the major institutions imparting education in areas of commerce with the help of teachers drafted from an ever-expanding field of business studies and activities. An evening college, it immensely contributes to post-employment education.
