I dont know why people give them low rating but believe me they are just awesome, I hire them for my marriage ceremony. and they decorates everything very carefully. I will recommend you, hire them. I am so happy with their service. And especially Suman Neogi is just a awesome charming person.

(22nd Nov, 2018)I wish there was an option for a zero or minus rating. Thats how bad their food is. Thats how bad their management is. Suddenly they ask me to understand the situation because apparently, they had two other parties to cater to on the same day. How is that my problem? They were understaffed and the food was horrible. The lamb was way undercooked and so were the rest of the menu.They were so bad that we thought to file a 420 case against them.Please do not let these people ruin your special day.

On 4th feb 2021, we have arranged my sons reception party, initially we have ordered for 200 plates , but after seeing the response we have increased the the no to 220. But to our utter surprise nearing the end of the party, they informed us that, 220 plates are already being served, they want to add some 25 more plates. Now my question is where from these extra people had come. According to them some scrupulous people were there. If it is so, why dont they check and inform us. According to our record only 206 no of guests were present that day.I want bring it to everyones notice, please keep a track otherwise you will also have to pay for some non present guests.I want to mention that, we have arranged separate food packets for drivers.Please do not consider this review as fake.

Worst catering service. We booked this catering service expecting to have a decent food quality. But not only the food quality was pathetic, we even faced problem of insufficient food. My friends all said how great the food was.There were a ton of choices on the menus and they were really helpful in directing me to my final selections. I recently attended a wedding reception in Howrah on the 19th of January 2020 and was amazed at their dismal food quality. These caterers served water with burnt match-sticks inside them. After pointing that out, the server promptly removed the glass, but Im not sure what action was taken afterwards. I avoided drinking water at this place. They did not have tissues for guests. They believe lunch starts after 2.30 pm, which isnt completely wrong but would be nice if they could start at lunch time (generally around 1 pm is an accepted practice). The food was average at best, with the fish fries being burnt for the majority.After seeing their replies on the complaints of other reviewers, its safe to assume their PR game isnt too good.Edited: Seems like the caterers only care about their version of events without investing in facts. You’re right, I should have clicked a picture, but I’m sure of having at least 2 people witness this. You could have apologised but instead chose to question the validity of the review. To answer your question, these glasses were on the 3rd floor near the sweet counter. You can investigate or not.Regarding the lunch timings I have google maps evidence that proves I was at the location and left at 1:45pm without being served lunch. Not sure why the caterers have resorted to lying but this just means its my word against theirs. I hope you the reader make a wise choice.Also please don’t report this to the cyber cafe department. Recently I have attended a party at Madhyamgram and I enjoyed the food (by Continental Catering Services) there very much. I must say, Continental has managed it in a highly professional way with excellent service quality. Food was hot, good & served in hygienic manner. This caterer is distinctly better than others, no doubt.Praiseworthy .

My greatest regret that I referred my sister to this horrible caterer. They have done their worst I have seen ever in my Life. They served rotten prawn on aiburobhat held on 10/11/2019. In same day at sangeet night they served more worst food than street food.And oh my god on the D day 11/12/2019 they have done the extreme.

We have been sticking to Continental for most of the formal occasions in our family and they have never ever let us down; yes, they are upmarket priced, but they definitely make up with their service levels and food quality. In a recent gathering of 200 odd people, where it was a floating snacks arrangement, and I had requested them to act the host as people from the family would be otherwise engaged; they were present with as many at 26 staff (apart from the kitchen staff) to serve food, which was extremely encouraging and we did not have to bother at all.

They spoilt my childs childs birthday party and everyone left without eating the food as the food was rotten and sour, I warn eveyone, never give them any order. He will pose as if he is the only best caterer and is know to all the celebs. Please do not get into his trap.Absolute liar and fraud.

The best caterers based out of Kolkata. Seldom does a caterer have such an array of recipes.. from authentic Bengali to Continental. They also do very well with fushion cuisine. The quality of ingredients are top class. They have served in many of my office events. And every time they excelled. Run by two bothers who are pass outs from the best hotel management institutes of the globe. One of the brothers is a celebrity chef too.They also cater to events outside Bengal. Planning one gala event with them this winter.

They are the worst catering company in town considering the price and service.They cheat you in every way possible. They do not serve food to the guests in proper quantity. They are rude to the guests. Continental caterers cheated us by skipping a few food items completely from the menu list. When they were asked about that, the owner told us that there was not enough space for the food at the counter. They did not inform this during the ceremony or never gave us back the extra money that we paid for the food items that they never served.

For him i had to be embarrassed in front of my guests as thier was shortage of food, inspite of that he was demanding extra money which he could not manage to get out of our pocket. I booked Continental Catering Services on 18.12.2018 for my brothers reception ceremony.Mr. Rangon Neogi, one of the owner, had conducted the entire catering services for this event. Being the only person who was arranging the entire event as well as the dream project of us, I requested Mr. R. Neogi to make it successful.Mr. R. Neogi had kept his words. The event was becoming grand successful.The variety of foods, its tastes, presentation, everything were just Wooooow......Each and every guest was very happy with food and the cordial behaviour of staff.Our special thanks to Mr. R. Neogi and his entire team for making this event so memorable.I highly recommend Continental Catering Services for any kind of occasions.My best wishes for their coming days.

I booked continental caterers for my wedding on 19th Nov 2018. And it was the worst decision I have ever made. On pen and paper what they will give you will look highly appealing. So you dont even mind to pay full amount in advance.. Yes full advance one week before the wedding! But what followed was nothing short of a nightmare. Firstly Suman Neogi who was my contact person never showed up, but he said he visits the venue once. They gave the job to a 3rd party catering service, they dont have any dress, very rude and unprofessional. I ordered the sweet personally from my side both for lunch and dinner. Over 30 sweets which was left after lunch, the serving people consumed all. Now comes the evening. The starters were initially slow and then non existent. Food was inadequate. Moreover there behavior with guests was unbelievably arrogant. When one of the guests asked for refill the salad section, serving person said take knife cut yourself and eat. Another guest when he complained why your service is so slow and why dont you have adequate food prepared, serving persons reply was, we are from hotel management, and not from this caterer. We dont care if people eat or not. Plates, spoon, glass was all filthy and full of spots. Water jar they only had one can, and then they were filling tap water. Two children even saw the serving person drinking juice from the glass and serving the same. And cherry on the top was, the so called manager of this team threw and broke a glass in front of the entire group of guests in frustration. When event was towards the end, and they kept saying they dont have food, one of my relative went inside the kitchen to check. To our surprise there was 6kg mutton, loads of fish finger, many boxes of ice cream, and these cheats were not serving those and planning to take with them. When I contacted Suman Neogi and told him this, he blindly defended his manager, and when I told him you can go and ask the guests their feedback, he was least interested and threatened me to see me in court, and that he will lodge man hani case against me and send the papers to my office, and he said you dont know what I can do, I have high contacts.Its my earnest request, please dont ruin your important day, by booking these cheats and fraud people, please boycott them. And if there is anyone else who also want them to pay a price for their actions, please join me in filing a case in consumer court.

I recently had a ritual with nearly 200 guests. I booked Continental Caterer and they delivered excellent food, quality, quantity, services and decoration which added extra bash to the party. For a check, their both owners Mr Suman and Mr Rangan visited the place on that day and gave required instructions to their employees and every body was very polite, duty full and with good manners. Only point to mention, they took 100% payment upfront before the function. Its a bit unusual in Kolkata standard and honestly I was a bit concerned. But they were excellent for their foods, service, seriousness and hospitality on that day. Overall, its a very good experience for me and my guests. I highly recommend them for big parties.

Recently i engaged Continental Catering Services for my daughters wedding party held at The Government Press Club New Delhi. we had a very good experience with them. We wanted to serve Bengali food in the wedding as we are Bengali, residing in New Delhi for last 32 odd years & wanted to feed our Non Bengali guest with authentic Bengali dishes. In New Delhi it self there are many Bengali caterers but they cant cook authentic Bengali food. One of my Kolkata friend recommended Continental Catering Services & i spoke to their partner Chef Rongon Neogi & he planned the menu for us & all my guests appreciated the food. Chef Rongon all the way from Kolkata came to Delhi with his team 7 did a commendable job. Their Chitol Muitha , Fish Fry & Kasha Mangsho was just luscious. Their Service was also faultless & Smart Boys & Girls from IHM kOLKATA did a fantastic job . Kudos to Chef Rongon & his team. I highly recommend Continental Catering Services

Yesterday(16th December) I attended a reception ceremony at Royal Garden,VIP road,Raghunathpur.It was this catering service that was on the serving end over there.I must say it is one of the worst catering services in the city.In simple terms food was inadequate and horrible.Snacks were served in very small quantities and after very long intervals in between,once they got exhausted.60% of the guests were not served snacks at all.Then comes supper.Starting with Starters,pasta was served in two horrible flavours one too bitter,one too spicy along with salad and chana which was sour like some rotten stuff.In the Main course,same thing repeated,food supply was very limited and got exhausted every now and then with guests waiting for food.Moreover,from the very start itself food was served cold and taste also was bad,only kachori and dal were eatable items rest everything was bad.I dont know how they call it pulao,its the worst I have eaten in my life.Chicken and mutton preparations were also bad especially the latter one.In dessert,sweets were also inadequate and pati sapta was literally garbage it looked like rotisapta instead,hard to tear while eating and bad as hell in taste.Cheap ice cream was served that too in inconspicuous quantity.Even the spoons were oily greasy as if not properly washed.There is not one thing to appreciate about this catering service.Even the pan served at last was worse.Zero stars to this catering service.Horrible food,bad service.

Yesterday attended one marriage ceremony in a very posh venue and the family is extremely well off. Continental caterer turned off mood of quite a vast number of people by not providing snacks easily only after several reminder they gave the same and people are standing as they were deliberately giving one pc and waiting for the guest to ask for more. Even the mango chutney they were serving by 1 tea spoon only. Trying to save mango and giving syrups. The representative of the caterer was telling the serving boys with roaming trays to identify the organiser of the ceremony and roam near him so that he thinks all is well. Very low and cheap mentality it seems from the Continental caterer. I have seen lots of caterer including the famed one like bijoli grill and bhoj also local one such a cheap mentality caterer i have never seen. Being very close to the organiser of the ceremony the caterer did not have idea that somebody is watching over them. I have asked them not to be paid in full. Today came to know that at the last they took price of extra 50 plates by cash only when the organisers gone for food telling that the committee plates got finished. Amazing facts first time I heard such in any such type of programme. Totally low mentality caterer.

The food was loved by all, the service was good, the staffs were cooperative. There is room for improvement, though.

Delicious food & impeccable service by Continental Catering Services in my my sons wedding reception held on 6 th May 2017 at Tulip Hall of PC Chandra Garden Kolkata, we entrusted the catering with Continental Catering Services. i contacted them from Wuppertal Germany about 6 months through mail. i came to Kolkata just 10 days before the reception party & Continental took all the responsibilities of catering & am very much happy & grateful to them . Their suggestive menu was really out of the World.Even my overseas guests were overwhelmed by their food & hospitality. i suggest all to go for Continental Catering Services for any ocassion.

Marriage reception spoiled! Its a long story. Started with a friend of mine telling about these folks, and suggested them to hire them for my wedding reception. We finalised the menu and gave the advance amount. It was a traditional bengali menu. A day before the wedding, Mr. Ranjan Neogi called up my father and asked for a full payment, to which he said that this was not as per the contract. He replied In that case, I shall give you back the advance amount and the deal is over. We will only provide the service if you pay the full amount now. We obviously had to agree. Then comes a lot of surprises the following day! Out of 8-10 persons who were supposed to float the starters, only 2 of them could be found and that too intermittently. Baskin Robbins Nolen Gur ice cream was replaced by Metro! Most of the items like bhetki paturi, chitol muitha were done with extreme carelessness, resulting in guests not being overall satisfied with the food. Also, we ordered for 400 plates and around 50 guests didnt turn up. However the entire extra food which we decided to give away to poor was carefully taken away, and when the guests left and we went to check the kitchen it was merely empty! Please avoid these cheaters at any cost.

Starting from 2011 till date my overall food experience with this catering service is not upto the mark. Professionaly n presentation wise they might be high bt not with the quality which is just average.

I live in UK and my wife is European. We got married in UK and wanted a second wedding of indian style as my wife is keen on that. Continental catering planned my food and beverage for my wedding on 18Nov 2015. I am extremely dissatisfied with the level of service and doesnt meet to what I was promised. I felt like I was cheated and given a lot of false promises. The staffs were grumpy, rude and disrespectful towards my guests and were demanding money at the end of the service which I find appalling. There was no manager or supervisor to organise the function. No bottled drinking water was offered neither hot water to wash hands at the end of the service. It was extremely embarrassing as not a single guest liked the service and food. The food seems to be very ordinary and doesnt seem to worth INR800 per plate. Quite a lot of bad reviews about Continental Catering in the internet. I wish i have done a bit more research before confirming them.

When we started planning the wedding there was one aspect, Soumajit and I were consistent about.... Good food! We are extreme foodies and we wanted our guests to have the best food ever. After a lot of research Google gave us Rongon Chef Neogi! We decided to pursue him and he gave us our dream menu! It is the best choice I have made, even better than my wedding benarasi! I have made him numerous calls over the three months and made random queries and he has very patiently attended me. Every person I have met since the wedding hasnt forgotten to mention the good food on both days. Though me and Soumajit were not able to eat much, the appreciation coming from the guests meant a lot! DO NOT PAY ADVANCE | POOREST SERVICEWe hired Rongon Neogi for my sons Upanayan in April 2015. We live in Canada, though originally are from Kolkata. This was once in a lifetime event for us as we do not get a chance to treat our relatives that often.The food was somewhat okay but service was terrible. They were not giving adequate quantity to people and were not refilling quickly. Neogi had a lot of staffs but they all are mere onlookers than supervising the work going on.We feel to have been cheated and do not recommend paying such high price to him.

We used Continental Catering for my sisters wedding in Kolkata in April 2014. Their overall contract included breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was ok; some dishes were actually tasty. However appetizers and drinks were sub par. The main reason for this poor review is their extremely poor and unprofessional service. When you are in the middle of conducting a once in a lifetime event like a family wedding, the last thing you need is a caterer who needs to constantly reminded of what to do and the staff and manager behaving rudely with hosts and guests. They have grown so big that they are conducting many events (sometimes 4-5) on the same day and you will not get the attention that you deserve.Their planning for food quantity was poor (ran out of food during breakfast halfway through the supposed headcount). Their servers (mostly hotel mgmt students) have a poor attitude towards guests and we got reports that they were rationing the main dishes halfway through dinner. They were fighting amongst themselves (in front of guests) on occasion. The appetizers and drinks were not circulated well amongst guests. They did not honor repeated requests to not put cashews in the food since a family member is deadly allergic to cashews and could have caused a tragic accident. And this isnt all.One of their owners, Suman Neogi behaved rudely with and insulted several family members when they expressed their frustration with the service. On an occasion such as a wedding with emotions running high, such lack of professionalism from the manager is inexcusable since the rest of the team will follow his lead. Clearly they have been successful and have made a lot of money, but it is clear that they dont care about you or take pride in their work. The only time their behavior was impeccable was when it came to asking for money. It left a blemish on what should have been a happy event for us and I sincerely hope that others dont fall into their trap (their prices are slightly cheaper) and look elsewhere. If anyone has any doubts, I will be happy to give a (negative) reference.

Recently, an aristocratic family of Howrah district had given wedding and chef food to Continental Catering, the chef of Kolkatas recruitment company, on the occasion of their only sons marriage. On Bouvat day, very low quality food is served and served Because of the lack of people and lack of time, they have been standing on the invitation plate for a long time. Did they face this humiliation because they had made full payment to maintain the reputation of their family? And your familiar friends will also inform them about this so that there will be no more family in the future Are victims of exploitation. If you guys are talking about re-heating then I should tell you people that the food served was not at all hot, it was served cold so dont try to give excuses that there was no place for re-heating the food items. General Chat Chat Lounge So just stop giving excuses and try to improve your service and more quality food was not at all up to the mark. It would be highly appreciable if you people improve the food quality.
