Looking for a Pure Vegetarian Restaurant to have an excellent fine dining experience ? Then add this place to your bucket list. Grace is located inside Kolkata Centre for Creativity near Ruby. This progressive Vegetarian Restaurant is decorated beautifully and they serve some edible art on your plate. Looking at the current health situation they have taken strict precautions, Ranging from Sanitizing at entrance, Temperature Screening, Contactless Billing to their staff wearing protective equipment all the time. Basically they are following all the health protocols so that you can have a good time here. They are providing Contactless dinning, takeaway and delivery as well. Another great news is you can order their pre measured DIY cooking kit from this place and share the happiness with your family and friends. Few days back I visited this beautiful place and tried the following items...• Shorba not a Shorba - Its basically a thick, flavourful tomato based Soup made with overnight confit Tomatoes and spices, perfect appetiser before starting the meal...• Mango Miso n Cumin - This healthy yet delicious Salad was loaded with assorted lettuce, steamed beans, roasted cumin with Miso paste and the Mango dressing adds another flavour to it...• Malai Charred Cottage Cheese with Chili Coconut - This Paneer dish is my favourite among all the dishes. The Charred Paneers were very soft and it tasted amazing with the coconut cream...• Spaghetti Coriander - A refreshing Pasta dish flavoured with garlic, coriander cream and some roasted veggies...• Beetroot Medium Rare - This salt baked Beet was soft and juicy on the inside and tasted amazing with the Kolhapuri gravy and onion paste rice...We tried a mocktail called Dawn & Chia Seed which was made with Pineapple, Baby Spinach, Apple, black salt and toped with some Chia seeds...Overall I had a great experience here. All the staffs of this place were courteous and the service was prompt. I would love to recommend this place to everyone.
Grace - Progressive Vegetarian is a progressive vegetarian restaurant for fine dining that is located on the second floor of the Kolkata Centre For Creativity. Amidst the chaotic city life and unusual traffic heres a place where you can spend some quality time in peace. Gorgeous all white restaurant is one among many places that should definitely be in your bucket list. I had a lovely gastronomic experience few days a back in Grace where I was invited to try out their five course tasting menu. In our city, I found most of the restaurant is serving very monotonous veg foods thats why actually we are losing interest from it. That day I tried Malai Charred Cottage Cheese with chili coconut where the blend of local spices along with coconut creme impressed my taste buds immediately. The Spaghetti Coriander where the flavour of roasted garlic along with creamy coriander sauce melts my heart. I think every foodlover should have this experience, more than filling your tummy , itll give you a lesson about how few simple spices can make magic.

Where fresh, local produce awaits your tastebuds, a fortunate stroke of serendipity to Kolkata gastronomic scene.!There is something simple about being a vegetarian. And then there are places like Grace, which makes Vegetarian food look simple. There is something strangely calm about this place, almost like a place of tranquil and solitude, this plush, yet simplistic abode inside the Kolkata Centre for Creativity, gives a sense of insight into what food can look like by maintaining our respect to Nature and following thereby upkeeping a healthy and natural lifestyle. Intaking nutritional food seems to be a way of past, which Grace is trying to bring back into our regular dining sessions, in the form of some unique and classy dishes they offer from their kitchen. The main focus of this place is to promote a Sattvic diet and follow the path of vegetarianism. This would essentially mean to consume natural and a nutritious diet, something which gives you energy and refrains you from inhibiting any negative vibes. This would also imply, that when you follow vegetarianism, you make it a point to consume the lowest life form, as available near you. Following such high regards and moral principles, you would be blessed to find meals based on vegetables and fruits churned out at Grace, when compared to the usual diet you may have been used to.Located inside the Kolkata Centre for Creativity, the serene and peaceful ambiance around this café is what will strike your eyes first. The long plush interiors, those high risen walls and the natural light gushing in with a strong wind of positivity, literally turns this place to a dreamland. The interior is mostly Scandinavian, as characterized by the simplicity and the minimalistic designs, the aesthetics of this place is simply off the charts. As they say, food is what meets the eye before it even touches your mouth, It couldn’t have been any more true than when you are in Grace. The food here is surprisingly not fusion, but rather focuses on the holy amalgamation of local fresh produces with the idea and concept as would befit the dish when placed upon a global table of diners. You get to taste of ingredients which grows close to your home, or atleast in your state, but you see the dish like having a fancy platter on a Michelin starred restaurant in Dubai or Vegas. There is a surprising sense of modernism, and when it combines with the flavours of the local produce; those aromas and flavours which you are so familiar with, it creates a spell of magic in your mouth. The major highlight for me was however the Dawn & Chia seed mix, which was prepared with pineapple, orange, apple and baby spinach, with a subtle hint of the quintessential black salt. A refreshing drink, which would act perhaps more as a digestive drink, brought in the known flavours of the fruits, with the local twist of the black fruits. Grace is all about making use of what is our own, and what is locally available. Much like when the Karbi people from Western China made use of the rice to prepare the rice beers, when they fled Western China to escape the Burmese invasion and settled in Meghalaya.Or perhaps how the Buddhist monks have to resort to consume something other than regular vegetables, to source their body with proteins mostly in the unpleasant winters in the snowy altitudes of Spiti Valley. The main idea here is to consume the lowest form of life around you and then also make use of something which is around you, before you stretch your hands elsewhere. Drop in here if you want something other than a splash of a spicy gravy or saucy noodle. Come in here if you want to have some peace in your mind, and wish to change your definition of comfort food.PS:- Other than the ala-carte dishes listed in the menu, you can also request for a special 7 course tasting session.#grace #kolkatacentreforcreativity #vegetarian #vegetarianism #progressive #progressivevegetarian #art #culture #localproduce #organicfood #vegan #sattvic #tastingmenu #whenstomachtickles
Good good, decent ambience
We had the pleasure and privilege to Visit a New- concept- of - Cafe at Grace , near Ruby & Fortis Hospital , on 13/10/2020.... They are maintaining Sanitization very cautiously and providing sanitized cutleries too .....Unique combo of Veg food along with Art gallery can quench ones aesthetic hunger for Art and Food both.....The young & Award Winning Head Chef , Ritabrata Biswas, have started to present innovative cuisines , in veg category only, to satisfy our taste buds which have been bored by traditional chicken- biriyani- chowmin-type food habit .!!.. Its a marked departure from well known menu....We along with my Twins kids enjoyed the food and ambience -- Peaceful , no crowd / gathering , very silent and Private ambience .....Foods are expensive though and not very much in quantity too if one compares with any other veg restaurant in Kolkata.....But service and Food quality are high standard to relish any dish one chooses....Need a little more Space if some groups come together they may face problem in sitting arrangements now as physical distancing is a must one .........Also ,Need more serious and professional approach from the Management concerned as it has huge potentiality.....
Out of this world, surreal place. The calm and beauty of this place will enchant you. The menu is very limited but its lovingly crafted with thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Didnt expect to find a space like this in Kolkata.
One of the finest restaurants in India. Food is superb.Chef Biswas is a brilliant innovator...
The place & the art Galleria is awesome but the Restaurant is a disaster as during opening they invited us saying they are a vegetarian restaurant but upon eating there we found them making fusion dishes which wasnt at all right & too expensive in the pocket but one can surely go for a cup of tea or coffee its awesome..hope they change menu & improve cuisine.
Awesome
