I have faced colour bleeding issues on my purchase. When I reached out to them..the staff was literally laughing out and said ..we take no responsibility for colour..highly disappointed after purchasing 9k worth sarees and dress materials.

Best place to buy authentic Baluchari Saree.It is ahandwoven saree using richly dyed silk, with intricate motifs depicting Indian mythology ( Ramayana,Mahabharata and story of Lord Krishna explaining the Bhagavad Gita to Arjun ) are woven onto its large ‘pallu’. It like a wonderland for women in love with sarees.Its hard to say no each piece of theirs. However the discount offered is standard irrespective of the number of sarees you buy.Having said that the experience is amusing as draping those sarees is like draping an era.

Bought a saree a week back as gift to a friend. The saree tore from the edges in 3 places while folding after one wear. Terrible experience when I went back to RMCA Basak. They were so rude when I explained to them how it happened!! I mentioned that it was a huge embarrassment for me, as I had gifted the saree. First they hinted that they dont sell torn sarees! Then they hinted that I might have torn it. We were queried by 3 persons, and had to explain 3 times, also mentioning that I will not stay in Kolkata.. Finally we were told the concerned person is not available, and to return after Lakshmi Puja (when I will not be in town). Abhorrent behaviour of this shop. They really do not get it that Customers are really Lakshmi. Would I ever go back? NEVER

A very good place for sarees if you are looking for Tant sarees. They have a wide range of that type of sarees. It is extremely crowded during the pre-puja shopping season and around the time of Poila Boishakh. Occasionally they offer sale on selected items and that draws the crowd as well. The staff are sometimes very aloof and the people at the billing desk behave badly at times.
