I came to know about Carapace just a few days back and within this short time I have loved their service. Apart from the tattoo, that they have done wonderfully, one can expect a very friendly environment at the place. As a very nagging person, I have poked them several times with changes in ideas and weird requests, which they have entertained with an enthusiastic approach. I had two major tattoos done from Carapace and I am very pleased with the results. I have a half sleeve wolf and a half leg realism in japanese way tattoo.Krishnendu, Aveek and Tuhin are very professional and courteous. I got my nose piercing done from Carapace yesterday. Total cost was INR 800 including the nose pin. Honestly I was a bit nervous about it but Krishnendu Sir was very helpful, friendly and humble. They strictly maintain hygiene during the whole process. The ambiance itself gives you a positive vibe once you step into the studio. I went to the ballygunge branch. However they have two more branches, one is near e-mall and the other one is in Delhi. The prices are quite affordable for both piercing and tattoo. So definitely a great place for getting your tattoo/piercing done.

I wanted to pierce my ears and landed up at Carapace Tattoo and Piercing. Of course it all started with an appointment and I ended up meeting Krishnendu sir. He is beyond amazing. He pierced my ears and I didnt feel pain at all. (Just nominal pain for 1-3 seconds and that doesnt count) He is not just professional at what he does but he is too funny. He make the vibe very positive and I dare you if you could spend time with him without laughing. He was so good at his job that I got 4 piercing on my ears. I was accompanied by my mother and by looking at his work, she too got her ears pierced. If youre planning for piercing, you dont have to think twice. Visit them and they know what do to next.Also, I would like to mention that theyre hygienic and very clean. They took every possible care to keep me safe.Stop thinking, visit them and get pierced. :)

I am very happy after piercing my nose from them. Krishnendu suggested me the right position for piercing which was far better than my selected position, he has a clear idea and experience. I got to know about the place from Google itself when I was trying to find a good place for ear piercing. And I found a gem as Krishnendu Da who is really good in his work. Artists here are well behaved... They art the form customer demands.. BUT.. they apply some of their thoughts of modification... Which I personally didnt like it...I needed a naked form of art.. but they added their thoughts also... I dislike this attitude of them... When I decided to get inked for the first time, I wanted someone trustworthy and it could be no one else other than Aveek. I was terribly scared and anxious as I had heard of painful experiences. I got a upper earlobe piercing they took their sweet time to prep things up and sanitise everything that was required in the process and after that the piercing went really smooth and nice visit this place for tattoos and piercings

My tattoo artist was Aveek but the entire staff are really nice and awesome peoples . The place is all cool, very clean, safe and very professional. The price for this kind of mastering is 100% worth it. I would recomand to anyone in India. Even if youre not in Kolkata, the train journey from anywhere still going to be worth it :DThank you guys and hope to see you one day around again ! Keep it up !

I visited Chandni Branch.This place is awesome and artist was wonderful. I got helix piercing and nostril piercing together. I was nervous, thinking of pain for piercing before I met them, but the artists as well as studio people were so friendly and they made me tension free ! I have visited the studio today itself after checking the reviews. Turned out to be the one as I had expected. Too courteous members and hygienic place.

I have always wondered the level of pain one can go through when a needle constantly goes through your skin constantly. It will be a lie if I say that I was pretty okay with this fact because initially, even after signing the consent form I was contemplating my decision of getting inked. Having said that, the fear and the pain disappeared the moment the needle touched my skin. And believe me when I say that it felt like an ant was dancing on my skin when Tunic (the artist) was drawing a semi colon very skillfully on my shoulder blades. It’s been an amazing experience and I hope to get inked again. With less screaming out of the picture I had in my mind. When I thought of getting myself inked I wasn’t very sure about the motif and most importantly the place where I should get it sone. For my first tattoo I was not very sure from my mind. I knew about Krishnendu but have never met him. One day after a gruesome training I wanted to do something for just myself. I gave Krishnendu a call. And that call like changed my perception of getting a tattoo. He was so easy to talk to. I visited carapace and thought of getting a regular tattoo. But after talking to Krishnendu I was aware that what I really want. And I got my first tattoo. After that 5 more tattoos followed for several years. Not only I got myself inked for life but I got a friend too. I recommended my close ones to him and they never complained. It’s a great experience.

The place is hygienic. I was so scared but The artist was very cooperative. He did as i wanted it to be done. Mine is a 3 inch tattoo, i had to shell out 2000/- for iy which is reasonable. The charge 1000/- for the first square inch and then 500/- for every inch. The work is fine and very neat. Liking it so far!
