I did not get the chance to stay in this so called wonderful hotel but i want to share my booking experience here. After mailing them first time they reply me with all the booking details and contact numbers for further assistance. Unfortunately no one bothers to answer the calls i was making for 2-3 days to know the current situation there like weekend lockdown. requirement of rtpcr report etc. Finally I called their kolkata office and after trying several times one guy received and ask me to come to kolkata with cash for booking (can you believe!). Also he told that he has no concern why the hotel persons are not receiving calls.After that I mail them and they replied seeking my contact number and I send them. Even after that also on one contacted. After several trying one guy finally answered my call and directly told me that they are not at all interested to talk to any one and everything should be done by mail. I was amazed by such kind of reply from a hotel to a guest who desperately wants to stay in their hotel after watching all the good reviews in social media.

This time we have choosen Puri Hotel for our big family and the decision was praised by my parents. Very good staff with lift,all time room service and most of that its on the swargaduar sea beach . Wow,its a wonderful journey. Economical Hotel in Puri. We will come again. Booking can be done via mail or from Kolkata booking office at Ekdalia,near ballygang railway station. Always choose front rooms. Jai jaganath.

They are not cooperated with travellers.Rude and straight forward.He think he is doing govt job.

Worst Service over Pre-booking. Due to lockdown, they didnt allow tourist and for now the advance money is also forfeited by them. They donot pick up calls. They donot give any response over mail.

The worst experience I had talking to the person who sits in Kolkata office. His behaviour is extremely crude as if he thinks himself sitting in Govt office. I cannot give negative star thats why giving 1 star Moreover, cleanliness is a very big issue in this hotel. Bed linen was not clean, bathroom and floors were not cleaned before checkin. They are not even bothered to customer satisfaction. They will just take customer complaints casually. One can get much much better hotels at this price.

The office hours is 10-5 pm a person can book a hotel room from 1650-2000 rs, he will definitely get a sea facing room, since the hotel building is too old, the service gets low gradually , the hotel is in the centre of sea beach Road.

Nice hotel sea facing

I have stayed almost every time I visited Puri. What is most distinguished is that the hotel has more than 80 sea facing rooms. The restaurat is also nice. The only lapse that I noticed that during the afternoon hours you would hardly find any room service boy.

Very irresponsive attitude does not pick up phone( trying for 1 hours called several times). I went there while knocking door outside at Kolkata office fern road ....they having lunch break... several staffs....no time to open the door waiting for 30 mins outside the office.

Puri hotel is good but plenty of new good hotels has come up in Puri. The position of this hotel is unique since its infront of the sea. But the rooms, room services, room decoration i didnt like much.

Hotel is at good location and it is the tallest hotel facing beach. You can go to terrace and watch the entire beach, sunrise,sunset, and also the mandir. Bad part is their old rooms were very dirty. last time i saw they were renovating the rooms in main building. each and every staff ask for tips. bedsheets,pillows and bathroom were very dirty. TV was useless, however we dont watch TV during our tour. once i had a terrible experience with a Manager. he was rude like hell

City booking office of Puri Hotel near Ballygunge bus stand is on 2nd floor of a residential building. It is struggling to find their sign board except the address 15k Fern Road at the gate of the building. Being oldest and established hotel of Puri, employees in the booking office are also old, slow and noncooperative. Although they have a website claiming the hotel as the oldest (1947) but they do not have online information or booking facility. The management has not changed with time.

Very bad behaviour, I have personally fails to get booking my desired room from them they refused availability, forcing to upgrade to high terrif rooms.But contacting hotel directly pay online rooms was available on the same day. I request contact hotel directly and make a booking.

Old method.They dont have online booking options. But one can reserve his/hers room with ease from here. Near Ballygunge Railway Station.One can find address & contact from google.

The location of the hotel is good. If you ask any people you will be able to locate easily. I had a bad experience with the Puri hotel manager. He is a very rude person and very irritating. He keeps on arguing with the customers. Even though the hotel is age old still it has not been able to launch online reservation. Absolute worthless staff.

At 16K, Fern Road, Ballygunge. Its a one room , office on the 2nd Floor of a building. And two staffs. One of them books the rooms for you on payment of cash only. So be prepared. Only one days tariff for one room is required while booking.

Rooms are top class but behaviour of stuffs are to much poor, specially restaurant stuff.

The booking office should be more modern and upgraded systems should be there. Only two person are there taking bookings. They have no photo of the rooms to show to the boarders and the payment mode is only CASH.But the hotel is too good...i always prefer Puri Hotel if i am in puri....just please ipgrade your kolkata office.

No definite address plate or direction is there in near by places.Though it is not too tough to find out the place,but finding exact building is troublesome as they have no inducation in ground floor of the flat.Phone number given in website often reamian unresponsive.People there is helpful and well behaved.

If you want to book your room at Puri Hotel@Puri from Kolkata then you can go there talk to them and they will tell you what kind of rooms are available and what is not available.Then by paying minimum amount, which is 2000/- , you can book your rooms and rest ammount can be paid after reaching the hotel at Puri.

Attending person is well behaved and helpful. He cooperated cordially.

Very bad bathroom. Room service is also bad. Quality of food is also bad.

Staff members are exrtremely rude. They have misbehaved with us many times on even simple enquiry. Coming to the rooms now which were extremely dirty and horrible. The sea facing rooms on 4th floor and the rooms oppsite to those were dirtiest.The bathroom stinks! The bathrooms have yellow patches and dirty floors.The bed sheet was pretty old and the bathroom odour directly comes to the room which makes the stay in the room difficult.The TV does not work.as well. The room adjacent to these room arw horrifying.It has yellow old bulbs in the bathroom. The floor mat is torn and extremely old. You would suffocate youraelf by entering the washroom. The sofa and the bed looks oldest with dirty bed cover. On top of that when we reported this condition to the management they abused saying we are complaining without reason ans we can leave if we want. They harassed for money as well. I woulf never turn for Puri Hotel ever again and neither any friend relatives would ever visit. I have never visited anything dirty like this ever before.

Pathetic staff behaviour... very arrogant and not at all professional... would strongly want people to avoid this hotel... washrooms not clean and very unhygienic...reception staff need to get some training on how to deal with guests... probably a customer facing training would help...it appeared like people were frustrated for something every time guests were contacting them... AVOID this hotel

Difficult to locate if youre new to the neighbourhood...go to Mouchak at Golpark and then locate the place using gmapExcellent service...no hindrances once you reach Puri

The four bedded room which I booked was very untidy,the bedsheets were not washed properly,no cable connection,intercom facility was there but no connection,there was not even a battery in the clock.....the staffs never behaved properly and moreover no was bothered to hear the complaintsThe room charges was Rs2000/- per day and we were totally disappointed with the management

This hotel is running by gundas....very rude behavior by the person who is at reception.....Hotel staff keep committing nd staring girls in inappropriate manners who passes away from beach to hotel..its better to sleep in sea beach inside of choosing this hotel...very dirty rooms.

Not a hotel, but a booking office for the well known hotel at Puri. Getting a booking is diffficult to say the least, as rooms seem to be booked years in advance. Book from here only if you know their property back at Puri well enough, for their guidance is vague and might be a little misleading as well. Tucked into a bye lane in Ballygunge and hidden away inside an apartment building this office is difficult to locate till you ask the locals. Book rooms here with a token amount and pay the rest at the hotel in Puri. That is how things work out here.
