Mayur residency is located on S.N.Banerjee in Central Kolkata region. It is located just beside the Calcutta Technical School near Janbazar. It is located near to Rafi Ahmed Kidwai road crossing. It is well connected through road and it is also accessible through Metro railway service as Esplanade Metro Station is not far away from here.

Location on main road. 3 star property.Pros:1.staff polite.2.food is tasty.3.It is only veg hotel.4.Breakfast option little more than what oyo provides.5. Bar is in-house.Cons:1. Rooms very very compact.2. Asking Payment upfront without even showing rooms. Dont fall for it.3. Bathroom(wb/basin/bathing area) is so small you can almost touch two walls if you streached.4. For this property they ask too much rate.

Amazing residency good service

Early check in policy was not cleared at the time of check in by staff .After 6-7 hours they informed to check out in very early morning in place of regular check out timing. 3 different staffs including manager demanded 3 diff rate.They dont Hv respect of their words.. What so ever the policy is,it should be explained at the time of check in. Better to stay at other hotel..

Good place to have lunch and dinner. They provide good food. I prefer this place because it offers only vegetarian food. The one drawback is it has bar in its dinning area so person with family might be a bit reluctant to spend time there. Though, I have been many times there, hardly have I witnessed anyone drinking. Despite all this, hotel management must consider a substitute. Thats why I am giving it 3 ⭐.

This was my third visit to Mayur Residency. Last time I visited it was early morning at 0530hrs. At that time I did pay early charges but this time I checked in around 0900hrs. They did gave me room I booked for premium room but the gave me normal room. Nevertheless, I did not mind because I need to come only in evenings to sleep. Real problem came in my day of check out, I asked for grace of till 1200hrs which the front office denied. I told them this my third visit and last time I did compromised and payed full Booking charges extra. Front office told that since you checked in at 0900hrs so you need to check out at 0900hrs. The behavior was very stubborn. On day of my check out they started calling me from 0530hrs to check out at 0900hrs. They called me nothing less that 05times before 0900hrs. This time it was horrible stay. Check out time was 1200hrs. But even you check in before or after the front office will bother you like anything. if check in in the evening then you need to check out by1200hrs. But if you check in at 0900hrs then you cannot check out at 1200hrs. You need to check out at 0900hrs or pay extra to continue. This very ridiculous. Keep it up Like this it will be good.

Overall very good hotel. Staff is also very nice and very decent. But management need to workout on some small things. They give only 500ml water bottle free in a room for 24 hours. where other hotels are giving 1ltr or 2 ltr. Plug point is not near the bed. So its different to work on Laptop or mobile while putting it on Charging.food is also quite good.

Hotel is good, location is also good and convenient. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Food was very good, particularly the morning BF. Only problem I faced was with id proof, though I had my company Id card, a govt of India PSU but hotel staff were insisting on a particular Id ie aadhar card copy. This was bit irritating and lot of time to check in. Please correct this issue with hotel management.

I planed to stay official purpose. I am from south side. When i was stayed in kolkata its very difficult to get south indian food. But Mayur Residency its available with in Complementary breakfast. Its very good taste also. Rooms also good and service is very good.

Neat and clean place, in some places it requires renovation. Avoid roadside facing rooms to have a good sound sleep at night. Decent breakfast which includes seasonal fruits.

I would probably give them less than one star if possible. I booked a double room for my wife and her sister! My brother in law joined a day later! The manager in the reception desk was rude and unprofessional. He entered into verbal altercations with me and was very unfriendly. To the extent when on one of the days we wanted to use the common area downstairs for some official work and we were bluntly refused! We asked them if we could at least use a table in the restaurant but they refused. Moreover when we asked if we could use the business room for 30 mins we were told bluntly it was for the hotel administration and not for us. To add one of the days I came to visit my wife and her sister I was told guests are not allowed after 10 pm. I asked them to show their policy they could not! I was told that “males†were not allowed to meet “females†. When I showed them my ID with my wife’s name on it the manager started passing loose comments and behaved totally unprofessionally! Overall I would warn noone from visiting this hotel

Value worth Vs Offering is very low. You gotta pay 3500 & services, room & food options not good at all.They dont have even sockets next to your bed.Not worth for money I paid.

The room I got this time was perfect. this is the first hotel which gave tax invoice without asking and gave invoice for full amount that they rcvd/ I paid .overall a very good hotel. I am a regular visitor to Kolkata, if the rates fits in my budget I will prefer this hotel.

In first look and reception staff I felt that hotel is good and worth paying but small small cockroaches all around the room degraded. I was too tired to ask for change of room at midnight 12.another instance that I got horrified was , I asked for tissue and water at restaurant, the manager of restaurants have faith more in his room service boy than the guest like me. the room service boy was unable to read the room number and was giving stuffs in wrong rooms...  but I felt bad and got horrified when the manager says to me I am lying his staff dont lie!! this kind of behaviour was not accepted, later the manager came and accepted his mistake. but the pinching part is restaurant manager should think twice speaking a room guest lier!!

It was quite a good experience, rooms were very good and cleanliness was good. Room service was quick and good. Food quality is ok. Value for money if you want a 3 star in that locality.

One of the third class hotels I have ever stayed in. Room is ok and thats it. No hygiene in common places, no food quality, lazy, dull and irresponsible staffs. Lift service is almost always out of the order. Reception is not at all helpful in any situation, even in my stay, I found the payment POS machine was not working. I had to leave the hotel in one day only.

We were there in the hotel on 19th, 20th and left at 6.00 am on 21st of Nov. 2018. We were five ladies and senior citizens. Hotel is located in a good locality. Ambience is good. Cleanliness is very good. Safe for ladies. Food was awesome. But the young staff of the Hotel is extraordinary. Executives in the food section treated us with all respect and affection. They quietly responded to our requirements. Mr. Antar De supplied warm milk with turmeric to one of us who had bad cold. They were very polite with smiling face. I have visited many places and stayed number hotels and guest houses during my service and after, but I have not come across such a lovely staff who made us feel at home. They served warm coffee and tea before 6.00 am in the lounge when we were about to depart. Though complimentary breakfast was to commence from 7.00 am onwards, and cook was on leave other staff of the food section kept our breakfast packed and ready for us when we left the Hotel at 6.00 am. We liked everything especially the staff. Our wishes are there for the staff to get all good things in life. Visit once to experience their hospitality.

The hotel is situated at central Kolkata just 300m away from Esplanade metro. The setvice and behaviour of the staffs is good. The food is value for the money. Room rent is little bit of costlier than that of same catagory of hotel.it is completely hassle free. Once youve submitted your ID then they dont have any quarry.

Had been to Kolkata in Jan 2018, for a 5 day visit. Stayed in Mayur Residency, as the reviews mentioned it has a pure vegetarian restaurant. The place is good n cosy rooms, the bathroom ventilation needs upgradation though(we heard rats scrawling in the dead of the night). Good vegetarian food with Jain options, central location, helpful staff.

The hotel is located in a narrow street however you can spot it easily. The staff was friendly and helpful, specially the gatekeeper. Room was spacious enough for 1 person however may look congested for two people. Room and bathroom were clean. I didnt find running hot water in the morning. Also, the breakfast doesnt have many options.

Good place. Was here visiting someone. The rooms are nice and well maintained. The food is good too especially north Indian. Did not like their special pizza very much.

Small hotel with restaurant cum bar. Hotel cleanness is very good. Surrounding area is not good. Adjacent to a Country Liquor shop. After evening footpaths in front of the hotel is full with drunk people. Rooms are good and clean. Amenities are less compared to other hotels of same 3 star category. Little unsafe in case of emergency like fire.

When I check-in in the morning at that time they gave me room no 257 and that was a premium room. When I came back to hotel at 9 pm They told me that they have changed the room due to some lackeg and my new room no was 123.I have asked the waiter of the hotel that what is the catagory of this room.  He told that it is a standard room.  Even room details mentioned in their reception display was completely different. I am attaching few pictures for your reference. ...My feeling was that hotel behave like this with others also.  At the check-in time they give accrual room and evening the shifts to normal room. Even on request there was no iron bed available as  it was mentioned during the booking.

Hotel doesn’t provide check in strictly before 12 Iam thier regular customer Iam also facing same issue, even rooms are available ,I requested them to charge for early check inn at 11 o clock but still they dint agreed said it’s our policy! Those u come for work has to waste half a day! Many places has only morning flight connections they has to suffer ! Though hotel is good but really no buisness sense!

The Hotel is very well placed on the main Road which really helps when someone is travelling by Cab etc. & is 20 minutes drive from Howrah Railway station.Hotel is spic and span with courteous staffs & has an in-house Restaurant with satisfactory food quality & taste.I would recommend this mid range hotel to everyone who is visiting Kolkata.

I stayed for four nights there and for my exam.. inspite of being in the busiest part of the city, the hotel maintained a quiet environment with the provision of a nice complimentary breakfast.. the room was large enough and had every facility for a nice and peaceful stay.

Avoidable experience. Both days, no water (hot water was empty - they had to fill water, then switch on geyser - all these took nothing less than 90 minutes) at 9AM one day and 12noon another day, wasting precious time that I could use in several other ways! Had to call them up several times (no one picks up) to make them realize that water itself was not there in the hot water tap (the housekeeping person casually said open it for 10 minutes, hot water will come (hot air???)). Room was not clean when we checked in (checked in at around 4:30PM, they had lot of time to make it ready). On the second day, we asked the room to be cleaned at the reception in the morning and he happily said yes, but never cleaned - when we asked at around 7:30PM, he mentioned that we did not leave the key with him (note: he never asked that key should be given for cleaning in the morning). We finally got it cleaned at 9PM, had to wait for housekeeping staff because there were none at that time. Wifi never worked any time, although they said it was rectified the second day. On the first day, bath towels were not available, they said it was short of supply and then provided it at 10PM. In the restaurant, their tandoor was under repair and could not even provide parathas. Had to wait for quite a while for breakfast to be available (idli was not available in sufficient qty). Food quality was OK, nothing great. Nice things: Good AC, lift worked, bed-sheets were clean, location is OK, near to the market area.In short, a one-sided bad experience because of a few unprofessional staff providing unprofessional service. Will not go again or recommend to anyone. *****Stay away*****.

We reached a little early (around 10 am) and wanted early check in but were not allowed, as there no rooms. The FD staff requested to wait to get some room vacant. Which waited in lobby, had to ask for water. One room got vacant but was not offered. We requested if we can get a place to change as we had to go to market to work, but was not allowed, though offered a stinking toilet at ground floor (not suitable for change). Waste of time. Then on 1st night at dinner - the rotis served were cold, the waiter in the restaurant told us that he can not get us made fresh rotis and we had to eat them in a rude tone. I them lost patience and shouted, then he served me fresh ones. Waste of Time. For taking a bath on 1st day morning there was no hot water to take bath, we managed. 2nd day morning called housekeeping for hot water, he then opened all the taps for 30 minutes to get the supply of hot water, as if it was coming from Rajasthan. Waste of time. On the day of check out we packed our luggage and said to prepare the bill. But were forced to pay/clear bill before 12 noon. Waste of time. Extremely poor experience, at the tariff your hotel has. And smaller inconveniences I am not mentioning.

Room tarrif is high compared to the quality of service and facility... complementary breakfast is of very poor quality....not worth to be a hotel for 3000 plus GST room tarrif....if u have no other option then its fine....very disappointed .... wouldnt recommend anyone....

Actually ZERO STAR. This time I faced a horrible situation with this hotel. I have booked 5 days earlier from Bhubaneswar but after all day at the time of check-in they say actually due to fault ... there booking overflowed and sent me and one more guest to some other hotel with small room and by walking 800 mts with luggage away. Hate this. Will never book again. Very unprofessional. Sorry though my earlier experience was good with them.

Pathetic.UnprofessionalI had booking for 2 nights inMayur but due to sudden death at home we had cancelled the trip.I myself had cancelled the rooms bookings by calling to the hotel directly that this is the situation and we wont be able to come.The response was really surprising one of executive Sanath that we can utilize the service later on.Now when I called up for the room.They are saying that I again have to make the booking.Really???What was about the prior commitment.If you do have communication gap with your staff then this is not my problem

The Hotel is well located , F&B service is Gud , Prompt Staff , But the House Keeping Dept . Needs to require Attention . The Hotel needs to keep a Hair Dryer as when required by guests . Overall the Experience & Staffs are Gud. Will Recommend to Stay.

This is the most pathetic hotel i ever have seen. This hotel is not good for the family, some other unwanted activities happen there. If you give food order, then you will have to wait at least 1 and a half hr with 150 abuse to them. They just dont bother abt your need. Rooms are not maintained, smells comes from the room, washrooms are really in bad condition. Mattress, blankets, bedsheets are not washed properly. This is serious review of them and do not opt for this hotel ever.

I have stayed in this hotel before and I can say that I am more than satisfied.But this time I found the room is so small that i cant move properly in that room.The freezer was not working.Otherwise services are excellent , behaviour of the authorities and staffs are awesome.Last but not the least ,I love the food they serve.They serve excellent veg dishes.Basically everything was awesome except the size of the room really disappointed me this time.
