Cant really have a shot at more authentic Russian cuisine in Kolkata, probably even India. Sanctioned by the Russian Centre upstairs, this large subterranean Cafe should be on the list of everyone who ever wanted to try Russian food exactly as Babushka made it.Although the service is nothing like youd expect at your Babushkas home. The lone server, while polite, took an excrutiatingly long time to take our orders and finally bring us the dishes. They also messed up one dish. The lighting could be updated. Also considering its a Russian Cafe, the stock American decor could be given a bit of change as well.

The cafe is at Gorky Sadan. It is one of the hidden gems in Kolkata. The ambiance is pretty good. Quality of food and taste is awesome. Variety of mocktails are there. One can find Russian as well as Non Russian dishes . Books and board games are also there. Altogether , a nice place to hang out with friends and family.

The food is excellent 😍The staff had an amazing attitude and a very grateful behaviour. Books and board games available if one need to spend some quality time.Authentic russian cuisines available. One must try the Russian tea. The flavour of the berries in the tea will add a special feeling to ones palate. Food is equally good. The garnishing and presentation is of top notch. Chicken Pelmeni is a type of dumpling in a broth with Sour cream served as a side. The dumpling when eaten with Sour cream feels amazing. The Olivier Salad had the perfect consistency to it. Lots of veggies in there along with chunks of chicken and egg. A big thumbs up to the management.Special mention to Md Fahim, the person who served us. Very rarely have I come across a person who is so well mannered and offers more than perfect hospitality and service. Thank you Fahim.

The ambience is awesome and the music is good.. but once you get the food served.. everything else will just be a blur.. the food is very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. This place is like a hidden treasure. From the main gate a security guy escorts you too the cafe with a gate pass. When i went the cafe was fairly empty. I got a nice seat and was enjoying the music. The menu comes in 3 booklets. One for food. One for coffee and one for drinks. I ordered a soup a main course and one dessert and the chef took his/her time and served the dishes with 30 min interval between each dish making the dinner service one and a half hour journey. But the food was worth the wait. Everything is delicious and the portion size is perfect.

The ambience is really pretty but Im disappointed with their food.➡️Chicken Bliny - Basically its Russian pancake stuffed with creamy chicken. The stuffing was good but the pancake was tasteless.➡️Pollo Gorgonzola - Pan fried chicken served with Gorgonzola sauce and exotic veggies. The chicken was not at all tender we had to try really hard to cut it. Again a disappointment.They have a great menu but they should make it sound.

I have visited the place many times and it is one of my favourite cafes in Kolkata. Love their ambience, decoration and the food. Some of their preparation which I liked are chicken blini, risotto, pasta They also haves board games and books which I love the most. The staffs are also quite friendly. Only one issue I have that is they take a very long time to serve the food.

If one is looking for 5 star quality continental food, I would recommend him to go and dine at Milee Droog Cafe & Bistro, We ordered Sirloin Steak (MR) and Pork chops, to my surprise I can compare the steak quality to be at par with Cal 27 of Taj Bengal Hotel, The pork chop was juicy and melting my mouth and the quality is far better than that of pork chops served in TGI Fridays and Chillis, The owner Mr. Satyaki Manna is very enthusiastic and hospitable person, having good knowledge about food, I look forward to visiting Milee Droog Cafe & Bistro again in near future

I never expected such a lovely little café inside a foreign consulate. The ambience is overwhelming, its calm and quiet, lighting is quite good, the authority took very good care from aesthetic perspective. This is a Russian Cafe. The cafe is near Exide more inside a compartment , not seen from moving vehicle , you need pass to get into there and pass is available at the gatekeepers office. The cafe is nice to hangout with friends. Have coffee and snacks , Pizza , Sandwiches are available , this cafe also serves lamb , pork and beef dishes. If you like pork, try the Pork belly dish here , if you are a lamb fan then definitely try lamhe and Tenderloin steak is for beef lovers , The place is generally costly , not affordable for all people . The average cost of two people here is almost 1000. The atmosphere of the cafe is nice but the menu is overpriced for all items.

Great food and very reasonable prices. Its inside the Russian visa centre so make sure you check-in at the porter and get an entry ticket. Youll have to get it stamped by the cafe staff and return it back when you leave.

Absolute gem of a place inside Gorky Sadan/Russian Consulate (5 minutes walk from the Exide more). One of the few places trying to bring Russian cuisine within a very affordable price range. The place is atmospheric, cosy and has an air of sophistication. The food is finely cooked and tastes real nice. Their Fish Poppiette is a must try.

Nifty litttle cafe with a very beautiful ambience. I heard about this place many times but never really got the chance to explore it. Reaching this place is very easy as its inside gorky sadan. Food is deliciously great even their coffees which is their specialty. Great service to go with lip smacking food.Ample seating space and a nice place to go on a date or with friends.

The place is shut from a long term however apps like Zomato are showing it open I dont know how but it is closed so please dont waste your time going there as they have removed the banner also and the map wont be able to direct you anywhere

The restaurant is located inside the Gorky Sadan. Ambience is pretty good and staffs are courteous. In terms of food I would say prices are a bit on the higher side in comparison to the quality. We tried beer marinated fish and their signature pork belly, but I would say for both the foods taste was kinda average. Price for pork belly is 520, and its damn costly in terms of quantity as well. We tried their signature beverages, which were mostly filled up with ice cubes. If I compare everything.. Food.. Quality.. Quantity.. And most importantly taste, probably I wont visit again.

My favourite cafe in Kolkata, hands down. The food is A class, the flavours you find here you will not find anywhere else! The staff are good and services are fast. The ambience is nice and cozy, there are books and games too. Seating arrangement is spacious and in good taste. I would highly recommend the cheese dishes, bolognese and baked cheescake.

Located inside the Russian Consulate building, its a quaint little cafe slash restaurant.We tried the Basil Pesto Spaghetti and the Chicken Creamy Mushroom Sauce Penne. Loved the former more than the latter though. The basil one was much more creamier than the flavour of the creamy chicken.

The answer of my knowing about coffee is YES I KNOW WHAT SHOULD A CAPPUCCINO TEAST AND LOOK AND HOT WOULD BE. I am a coffee addict. Whenever i go i always ordere coffee rather than chai and also i lived in America for 3 years which is a heaven of coffee lover so yes i know a huge types of coffee and the types of making it. You guys are so rude to customers i couldnt even imagine after seeing your reply on my reviews. And i dont save bad cafes bill guys but i will now for sure to save myself from this kind of comments. This is so disrespectful and hurting comments whoever written this man.

Never judge a book by its cover alone.Well, this cafe is housed in the Russian Counsulate and Old Time Building. But once you enter it, the feeling changes 360 degree.I love everything here from the Food, Coffee, Ambience, Music, Aroma and the books. Milee Droog is one of my most favourite cafe in Kolkata. The pleasent, classy and super cozy ambience, the wide range of authentic and delicious russian cuisine and the professional service and staff behaviour impressed me and made me feel very homely on my very fist visit to the cafe on August 2019. Since then its been a go to place for me and my partner as Im very fond of European Cuisine, especially the Russian salads and cheese cakes! And my partner who is a photographer by profession loves the brilliant ambience and foods to have amazing portraits and food shots over their. From their giant menu our most favourites are Classic Caesar Salad, Hot Chicks (a dry chicken starter), cheese breads, Cream of Mushroom soup and cheese cake in desert. Though we havent yet tried all the items available in the menu, but were in a mission to accomplish that very soon! Ive shared two of my very favourite portraits that he clicked on our very first date on the first day at the cafe! Will keep adding our favourite food shots too!I highly recommed this beautiful cafe for a couple or a group of friends hangout! We love Milee Droog. ❤
