A very nice little place to chill. Its located just above the Oxford Book Store in Park Street. You can spend several hours here. The staff do not rush you to leave. The food is fine. The quantity is more than ample. They serve smoothies, cold coffee etc in humongous glasses. Difficult to finish one.The price is totally pocket-friendly, considering the ample quantity. The decoration is very soothing to the eyes. Interesting trivia about tea written all over the walls.

Located conveniently on the second floor of The Oxford Bookstore, situated beside The Park, this is the perfect place to spend your weekend evenings with a cup of tea in one hand and a book in the other. We ordered the Peach Iced Tea, and came a tall glass of perfectly made Iced tea with peach flavouring. Although it had a little less tea flavour but still it served its purpose, a dose of coolness on a hot Summer evening. Then we ordered the Fish and Chips and we were not disappointed at all! We were served 3 fat fillets of Basa fish very lightly coated with breadcrumbs with a side of chips and tartare sause, which brought the whole dish together.I stayed there till 9 and loved the ambiance and crowd! One of the must visit places in Park Street!

Its a very good place to read a book and grab a quick bite. Its situated at Oxford Book Store at Park Street. Its serves various Sub Sandwiches, Classic Sandwich and various Sweet and Savory Items. They also serve various Teas and Coffee. One should try out the place for a afternoon tea or Hi Tea. Prices are reasonable and the place is good for children and friends.

After quite a few visits to this cafe located on the mezzanine floor of Oxford Book store on Park Street, I am writing this review. Earlier whenever I visited I found it to be an excellent option for good, affordable, healthy and tasty snacks. This time however unfortunately things were different. To start with we had to wait a long time for someone to take down our order. Most of the teas on their menu were not available and we had to order from a very limited and frugal selection. When the tea was served the teapot was stained and broken at the spout. Since I have been here earlier I must admit, their standard has deteriorated considerably. Another issue I found was that service charge was being billed without first enquiring with the consumer. Once you raise an objection, it is being waived. But very few patrons are aware of this and end up paying.

Situated above the Oxford bookstore Cha Bar is quite famous for its amazing collection of flavourful teas. This place has the perfect old school vibe with modern amenities. I enjoy taking a stroll through the bookshop and the giftshop before entering the cafe.I have been there many times, but this time I didnt order any tea. I ordered one chicken warp and one fish and chips. They maintain the same consistency everytime. I liked the price and portion/quality ratio. Ill be visiting soon.

We ordered Kashmiri qawah tea , they took the order and later informed that its not available , then they took order for Arabian tea , it was quite average though . Everything about this place is DISAPPOINTING. From the food quality to the staff behaviour. They served us burnt pizza and when we complained about it they asserted that pizzas all around the world taste and looks like this. They are nowhere to be blamed and its us who doesnt really know how actually pizzas taste or looks like. We order Mango bubble tea which was served with bubbles/boba seeds along with some *FLIES*. Again its our fault we should have protected our tea.Hence, I would not recommend this place to anyone because the staffs will not take responsibility for their food quality and service. The staffs are super arrogant. From the chef to the manager. The place is expensive and you will only pay for disappointing yourself.

Okay. So the other day I wanted to have good tea, so went to cha bar. Its good. The staff was good and suggested us whats their specialty. Me and my friends ordered sandwich, fish chop, masala chai, iced tea raspberry, iced tea mint. The staff goofed up the order first but then after a slight reminder they got it right. After sitting there for an hour we ordered iced tea again. The service was extremely slow. And by the time we were enjoying our evening there were these people who were fighting with the staff over the bill. We didnt understand at that time. But when we asked for the bill, we got to know that they were charging 10% service charge on top of 18% GST. This is not right. When asked about it the staff said they dont know anything about it and we should talk to the management. But there was no one available from the management. I would like the management to intervene and give us a proper explanation as to why are they charging the 10% extra tax.

We had ordered ginger tea, coffee, chicken sandwich and veg cheese sandwich (really sorry I havent noted down the exact names of the sandwiches). Taste was good but what was much more appealing to me was the ambience. Since, it is a part of the Oxford Book Store, you can easily go through your favourite novel while sipping a cup of hot coffee. The service could be improved a bit since I found they took quite long to serve the tea. However, something that needs real improvement is the toilet. Visite the pace as heard good reviews and was looking fora place where in kolkata where one can read and work and enjoy some tea.. was disappointed at large with the place , first of all the tea is very overrated and most of the teas which are less costly on the menu are never availbel( visited thrice and every time mentioned that its finished). the staffs are polite barring some who are really rude and would bug you to order more , as if yeah you are lost in your work but please order something.the snacks are okie but again overrated .. the biggest problem here is they do not have a restroom , i mean there is one downstarir which is better not to be used , as its very unhygienic and dirty.the good part is overall ambience is good and i feel if the above mentioned negatives are looked after it can be actually a rivetting place but till then you empty your bladder before you visit the place ;)please please for gods sake get a restroom built.
