It is a huge shop with long rows of racks stacked up with products from food, snacks, groceries to kitchen accessories everything is available so go for it if you wanna buy a huge amount of goods preferably for a whole month.Cons - The AC does not operate all the time so you might be sweating after doing a good amount of shopping.

A government funded supermarket in Behala. Its a place I have been going to since childhood. You will get most of the stuffs here. Its pretty huge. And all the products are sold at a much lower price than MRP.

An ideal pocket friendly place to shop for your monthly groceries. Good overall variety of products, though the self care section (soap, deo, perfumes etc) could do with some more additions of variety. The staff is somewhat lethargic, and mostly spend time gossiping without offering too much assistance (except the billing counter)

Samabayika is one of the best supermarkets I have seen. I found it when I moved to Behala in 2005 and have never been disappointed. Its got a great collection of all kinds of items and the discounts are amazing. Sometimes its even around 40%.Moreover, the staff here is cordial and friendly. I have made a nice bond with them over the years and it always feels like home when I visit the place. In fact, I cant help but visit it every second week... Highly recommended.

No amunities for the customers. The prices of goods in many respects are higher than the shops outside Samabayika. The behaviours of the staff are also rude and non commital to the interests of the customers. I hope they should understand that Samabayika is not simply a shop but a part of the august Cooperative movement in India.

I am visiting this location since 1989.Over the years the store has improved immensely and has become more methodical .The stocks are extremely good and so are the prices equally affordable.The store is probably the best departmental store in our locality. It has an array of options starting from regular grocery (non perishable goods) to make up items.Incase you are looking for some some options for good crockeries the store be an easy solution as well.They have extensively increased the stock and added new items as well.Since the foot fall is high the same gets replenish almost frequently. Therefore whatever you take home are actually fresh with long expiry date.

Sanitation of hands before entry. Expect Q as 10 customers are allowed at a time. 10 may reduce to 5 during rush hrs. 30-40 mins will be given for shopping. Accept Debit/Credit card and cash payment. No UPI or payment app available.

The other times usual crowd is there. You can pay in debit cards. Highly recommended for the local people. The only backlog is poor maintenance system.
