First thing first : This is only running with old fame. Taste is bogus, yes you read it correct.Huge price in the name of brand. Its been a place to hangout or buy out for so called aristocrats. As a food lover I can not recommend it. I have tried 3 times here and then only giving this review. Also they will say you can not take picture as its private property. Lol then why are you selling here to public..Its not a museum or army place. And if someone doing vlog etc for money making purpose thats may be objectionable but mere taking two pics with your cell is they are objecting on.
Located at the center of the city of joy, the sweet shop has lost its joy though. Food is not fresh here and the waiters are grumpy. Thanks to its heritage name, the owners are not bankrupt yet. Dont know how long though.
Dont go there.. Pure waste of money.food quality is low.. They didnt provide any reciept
I visit here to take sweets for my girlfriend .....she loves their sweet so much....
Need to improve the soft skills. The management is not allowing to use laptop charger without any apparant justification stating its the wish of the director. Even if the request is for 2 mins to send urgent mail . While seating and having food is allowed during covid. This is weird.food and sweet is good though overpriced a bit.
Good place to gift your taste buds some sweet notes seating in the heart of the City. Though the shop has not upgraded itself with time, and has got some old menu and old staffs. Though the staffs are as sweet as the sweets.
Extremely expensive, unprofessional staff and worthless taste. Its just surviving on its historical fame.
This is a very famous place and it used to be but in recent times this place is getting worst. Their famous radhabalavi is just plain weird. I can still make peace with the sweets but not worth for the price paid. We once went to have chaat and believe me guys you will get much better chaat from the roadside vendors. Their taste of legacy is not their anymore.
If you are visiting kolkata and really wants to try the traditional sweet of Bengal that is Rosogulla then this place is for you.It is near Esplanade Metro.
The decor is lit! 🔥. The sweet collection is also good. Sandesh tastes😍 yummy.😋
One of the best best sweet shops in kolkata that has been serving since 1866. What a mile stone!!I tried three types of sweets and everyone has its own great test.Price is reasonable. I observed that most of the people eat some over there and take away two three packets. There are few sitting arrangement so you can eat sitting over there.
One of iconic identities of Kolkata. A place which has built its reputation over decades. The sweet house boasts of a variety of sweets and savoury. Staff behaviour and service is top-notch. Located at a prime location which is not at all easy to miss, a visit to Esplanade area definitely deserves a detour to K C Das. Despite the higher pricing this piece of Kolkata is always thronged by its loyal patrons and celebratory orders.
I have visited K.C.Das for their Rosogolla. It was really nice . Value for money...Recommended for Rosogolla lovers. You can find varriety of Rosogolla and other sweets as well.
Good collection of sweets within a average price range. Can visit if you love sweets.
I have visited for the first time yesterday and it will be the last time too , the taste and the quality of sweet is very very bad . I bought Dilkhus for 30/- each piece , I completely wasted my money 💸....I have never expected such bad quality with so high price from a renowned brand .
Extremely dirty place to visit. The building and the interior smells so bad as you enter.Absolutely ZERO hygiene.Staffs are not at all trained to serve, they server things so casually and dirty.NEVER VISIT place.
I ask for manu and they said manu nei😒.And also kochuri is not available😡, AC doesnt work properly😤😒.Food was good.
Great Place to enjoy Kolkatas finest Rassogolla
Authentic bengali sweetshop. Quality very good. But prices are on higher side.
Located at 11 A&B, Central Ave, Esplanade, Kolkata, West Bengal 700069, K.C.Das is avenue for traditional Indian sweets from a brand founded by Nobin Chandra Das in 1866. The restaurant serves cuisines like desserts, breakfast, street food and pure vegetarian. When dining at this restaurant, you must definitely order Radhaballavi, Rasgulla, Rasmalai Saffron, Peas Kachori, Mango Doi etc.
One of famous sweet shop in city centre... Always good to have quality sweets here...
Best quality sweets. Must try Diabetic Rosogollas. Taste is very good.
Not good... its too expensive and taste is too bad
This is one of the most famous and top rated Sweet shop in Kolkata
Price is a bit on the higher side. Taste is good. Ambiance is nice.
Good sweets & specially LUCHI DAL BHAJA @Rs 70/- mouth watering.
It no longer holds the quality and taste for which it was famous once.
Sweet! O Rossogoolla = ks c das.you dont have this type of rossogolla,k c das is father of rossogolla.here you got lots of sweet options.order offline or online go and order why you let.staff are average
I have Luchi there its just amazing....sweet & little spicy dal and sabzi with baigan bhaja😍🤟 I just love it..
First time visit to Kolkata .. and asks everyone wht is most famous sweet shop in central Kolkata all said K.C. das if famous for swets as i have to try its really really delicious sweets and food..
You cant miss this if you are in Kolkata. A fab yet simple or simple yet fab place. Still holds the old era atmosphere and look at the heart of the city.Quality and service both are unmatched. Everything is very very pocket friendly.I have tried almost every item here, my favourite is their Meal which includes Baigan bhanja, aaloo sabzi and Poori. Dont forget their yummy Rasgullas and Kheer Kadam.Thank you KC Das, you are truly amazing.
Taste is too bad .. rather must say street shops are much more better than it .. and its cost is too high ...normal rosgolla is starting from 18 rs whereas only 10 rs is in every where in kolkata.
Not like earlier day. K.C. Das has lost his glorious days.....👎
Rosogolla Is Good but Over priced, Ranges Starting from 18-30, But Rosogglla Of Chittaranjan (Shyambazar)Is way Good
I have never eaten such a beautiful sweet
Best place to eat sweets on dharmatala more. Specialty raj bhog
It was too much expensive. And quality & taste of sweets are completely different. If you are in kolkata and fond of sweets then go for a local sweet shop. Compare to KC Das local sweets are more tasty.
A variety of sweets available. Best in class quality nd worst in class service. The staffs are very rude.
Actually, I wanted to give 3 and a 1/2 star, but had to give 3 stars for not-availability. It is a old famous sweet shop with modern touch. Heard very much history about this place but I am not so satisfied. Here you can find many varieties of sweets and desserts but the taste is not up to the mark. Price is quite higher. Classic rossogolla started from Rs. 15. Stuff behaviour are very good. Very much Clean and hygiene place. If you are in Kolkata then it is a must hang on place.
Good place to have morning tea or breakfast. The sweets are good but I wouldnt say, the best. The staff is amazing and I loved the Raj-bhog there.Situated at a corner of a street, is very convenient and one can enjoy some time in the AC. There is no parking space but its a sweet shop and they dont really need one.
Amazing, one of the best places to eat ethnic bengali sweets.
Place is good But food quality is lower than Street food .
Taste is good. Service worst
Prices are too high...Taste was not so special.
Services could be better improved ... As it is at prime location
Well renowned Rosogulla , and its familiarity to this region of india is due to the fact that it was made here and was popularized by the people of Bengal. This place holds the title of inventing the ROSOGULLA . K.C. DAS is a very busy restraunt which serves traditional bengali Rosogullas with a modern twist to it. They even have flavoured Rosogullas which is good to give a try. I would recommend others to visit this place and give these sweets a try.
I ate Raj kachouri from here. It was just average in taste. Price is Rs 80 which I felt a little bit more as far as the taste is concerned. Quantity could have been more. They do not have a menu card and the sweet items do not mention the price. The chat counter is same as well. Everything you get to know by asking only. Overall it was an average experience. Next time would like to taste the sweets from here. Thanks!
The first impression was that the property was congested with extra customers inside. There is a need to discipline the purchase counter as well as delivery. A tidy make up is highly desired. However, the sweets were very nice.
The place is small and cozy . Not so clean . But adjustable . The service was nice and quick. We sat at the small eating area at the top, but the AC was kept off throughout .Tried the Peas Kachori and RasMalai . Enjoyed both . Pics attached .
Its good for the snacks sweets. It is most popular in the kolkata & also in india. It is also family restaurant
We were on a sightseeing spree, and were looking for a place that served authentic Bengali sweets. This outlet gave us just that, and much more! The rasgullas we tried were exquisite, and the rasmalai was delicious too. 10/10 would recommend, if you happen to visit around the area.
Sweets are okay. Take Pathisabda Pithae Sweet, its good. Also, the Thandai Holi Special is too good.Tin Rasagulla of K C Das is too good
In short, Its the best rosogolla place in town.
I love sweets and KC Das was a good stop for those sweet delicacies. But the Rosogolla for which KC Das is famous tasted not that great. But yes try the yellow coloured Raj bhog there, it was so good...
A heritage sweet shop visited frequently since my childhood. It has two floors of in house restaurant set up with high quality food. Known by all Bengalees for its awesome Rasogollas.
Great place for bengali food at very affordable price range. But dont go after sunset because due to high demand most of the food items were unavailable. But delicious in taste. Good behaviour of staff. amazing place.
Famous place for Misti(Sweet) lover located in Dharmatolla near Esplanade Metro Station.
Its a very old place. People here suggest this place for sweets, If you are around this area. Photos were shot from the shop.
Good quality of food.
Best sweets I had till now, friendly staff
Very good quality and hygienic also....but price is a bit high compared to North Kolkatas sweet...
Good famous rosogulla opens at 11.am.
One of Kolkatas best sweet shop
Love this place. Their sweets tastes different from rest. Awesome place for sweet tooth. KC Das needs no introduction. Inventor of several sweets. Recommended to have sweets in the shop so you can enjoy the variety.
Found their sweets to be dilute especially the Ras malai...P.S: Their Gur ka Rasugulla is fantastic!!
This shop is a brand in Kolkata for sweets. Everybody knows K. C. Das sweets. Its a very popular and old shop in Esplanade. Though the price is little high for most of the people, the taste is so so good. One must checkout this at least once in the life.
KC Das is a Very Prestigious Place for Bengal Sweets 🍨..KC DAS sweets is one of the popular restaurants in BENGAL, over the years they now have quite a few branches...The one in ESPLANADE, SHYAMBAZAR, LAKETOWN, JODHPURPARK, VIP & MISTI HUB(Eco Park) and Esplanade Branch is very popular n quite busy.Good variety of sweets, snacks, quick service at affordable prices..A must visit destination at Kolkata.
For sweet item u can go
This K.C.Das sweet shop outlet is located at Esplanade. This is I guess one of the worst outel so far. I ordered radhabalavi, singhara and MISTI doi. Radhabalavi was so so whereas the singhara had over to the top filling which was very irritating as it was falling all over. And about Mishti doi, it was not available at that time but waiter didnt felt like informing us, instead he brings us mango doi and ask us to have it. This attitude of his was really pathetic. Service is as slow as sloth. Overall a bad experience.
I went to Kolkata and I always heard about KC Das to be One of the best places to find sweet and I guess it’s kind of right I don’t have that kind of a ballot that requires a lot of sweet but I do find sweet to be very different at different places I found sweets in Kolkata to be one of the best places to have sweet but I don’t know why KC Das didn’t really got me It’s about the taste which really appeals to me and KC Das just wasn’t enough for me while it’s one of the most famous places in Kolkata I didn’t find it that good. You can definitely go and check it out on your own but my experience there wasn’t that great I just found the sweets to be average at best the one and only outstanding thing for me was pink Rossogulla and that’s it while I had a great number of sweets I just like that so from my side I wouldn’t recommend KC Das while I would rather go for Ganguram Sweets.
I have been reliably told that kc das is the inventor of rosogollas, well I cannot be a judge to that but unarguably the rasogollas were very good.Tried few other items as well but rosogollas were exemplary. The shop is on the road near tipu sultan mosque and is always loaded with customers so wont be an issue to identify. You can ask any local and they will directly point you to it.We had a great time quenching our sweet tooth fantasies here. They accept cashless payments as well.I would most certainly suggest normal rasogollas and strawberry rasogollas as well.Shrikhand can also be tried if you are into it.The shop is well maintained and serve hygienic edibles. There is a seating arrangement as well.Id give it a full 5 because it deserves it.
