One of the authentic Chinese restaurant in Kolkata. All foods taste are light and delighted and quantity is anough for two people per each item. But one thing I was extremely regret ful thing is there is no pork dish available on their menu.In authentic Chinese restaurant there should be have some items.

Visited this authentic chinese restaurant for lunch. This is an old chinese restaurant where you can find some delectable chinese dishes at the most pocket friendly rates. The place is old, simple, yet clean. Service is prompt.There are a wide range of dishes in the menu card including fries, soups, noodles, rice dishes, and different types of chicken, prawn and fish side dishes. We took rice noodles, szechuan prawn, and hot garlic chicken. And it costed just around 700 bucks.But one thing I would like to mention that this place only accepts cash. So, dont forget to carry cash.

Its a hidden gem.. one of the best Chinese restaurant in town run by Chinese. Since this is a small eatery, ambiance is very simple but clean. Price is reasonable considering the quality of food.

We ordered 3 Singapore Noodles.Quantity is Brilliant, I hope they maintain this.Quality wise, it was pretty decent. The noodles didnt have a satisfactory amount of Chicken pieces in it. Taste wise it was not very flavourful but it does the job. Other chinese vendors, serve better at this price point, moreover this is a Non AC restaurant which can be uncomfortable in hot days. It was cloudy the day we went.

Perfect place for authentic Chinese food. I loved the bright and cosy ambience of this place and the guy who served us was very polite and friendly, unlike another eating house located nearby. No pork or beef is served here. This place is open on all days except Sunday. Open from 11a.m. to 10 p.m. Now coming to food, chicken wanton soup, chicken volcano, chicken mei foon and chicken in black bean sauce are a must try. You may also have regular noodles or fried rice. The proportions are huge and one plate of food will be more than enough for two people who are hungry.A must visit! Definitely recommended!

Whenever I use Pou Chong sauce, I get the flavor of Pou Hing. Its another gem at Territi Bazaar. Position wise is much more convenient and is having an open to all view.Once inside, you will get to see a clean Chinese house meeting hall turned eatery a typical of Sino-Calcuttian style. Though this eatery lack pork (a must for Chinese people) but the menu style, size and taste they offer is phenomenal.I started with Pou Hing Special Soup which was a updated version of Mixed Sweet and Sour Soup whose taste was asper the Chinese palate. A pinch of salt and pepper did the trick.Then I turned my attention to Mixed Steam Rice and Pou Hing Special Chicken. The amount of non veg items that was provided in one portion of rice was more than enough which was further enhanced by the Pou Hing Special Chicken. This chicken item was having a perfect balance of Kikkoman Soya and Nam Pla (Fish Sauce), honey and rice vinegar. All in all the food was awesome.This shop also features their own condiment brands of Pou Chong. Do visit it to get a glimpse of a good Sino-Gourmet.Price wise its pocket friendly and features additional retail outlet.P.S....This eatery do not provide any mode of online payment so guys do not forget to take cash while visiting.

Food was really awesome, authentic Chinese and the behaviour was also very good, I had just visited it yesterday. The price might seem a little bit high by a very very thin rise, but then the quantity and the taste is worth it. The place is a little bit small but Id suggest let the taste speak for its justification.

One of the few eating house (thats how most of the eateries are called here instead of restaurants) located in a locality predominated by the Chinese community at Tereti bazar (Poddar court), Kolkata. With time the Chinese community count was come down, but they still have a significant presence. One of their principal business has been small eateries where mostly local people (and these days people from far away places) come to have a grub. There are about four eateries left now. Pou Hing is one of these. Its a simple place, without any modern decor or air conditioning. The ambiance is totally homely and informal and so is the staff. The menu is not large but the food is excellent and priced much lower than what one would eat at a swanky restaurant.....I mean the same menu. Pork is not available here. Its hygienic and clean.

This is an original Chinese restaurant in that it is quite old and is run by actual Chinese people. The food quality is superb and the quantity is huge. One plate of noodles or rice is easily sufficient for two people and you get eight pieces of chicken in every side dish. Taste of all the items that I ordered was very good. Dont expect fancy decor or ambience. Just go there for their food and you wont ve disappointed.

It was an accidental discovery for me while trying to find another restaurant. Serves authentic Chinese cuisine although controlled by Indian natives. Really reasonably priced with pretty unexpectedly good quality of food. Theres barely any crowd at any time, so its really good for a peaceful dinner. Good environment for family and friends. If you can forgive the quite boring ambience, its a pretty good place to try out authentic Chinese dishes. We ordered Mixed Schezwan Hakka Noodles with Pou Hing Special Gravy Chili chicken. They provide large portions which is more than enough for two. Prices start from rs100+ approx and strangely though fortunately, we werent charged extra GST.

The quality is very good and the amount they give for the price is more than enough. Though the ambiance is not very attractive but keeping good food on top its just a perfect place to make your soul happy with mouth watering chinese food.

The ambience is neat and clean and kind of nice...its not like very decorative fancy place..but youll like it..a small nice place ..we ordered chicken wonton soup and chicken American chop Suey...Wonton soup was delicious highly recommended..but chicken American chop Suey taste was not best but okay too sweet it was...and also they served it cold that was a bitter experience ..but still the wonton soup is worth trying...it was the best..staff behaviour is also not that good or professional..hope they will fix all that issue..or never order chop Suey there.

Decoration looks like cheap and flimsy below average and as usual not so neat and clean, but acceptable.But once again considering it as a Chinese restaurant most of the items are too much spicy which is a little bit unusual. Although this restaurant is just 50 metres from Tung Nam Eating House ( Which is the famous and most known restaurant of this Chinese area) this Pou Hing restaurant has remained in the race only for their good quality and quantity of food in a very reasonable prices. Almost all types Chinese dishes are available in a very good price point. Combos are also available for them who want to grab a bite of every single Chinese dishes available in this restaurant.

Really good Chinese food with big serving sizes.Pros:Reasonable.Great serving size.Nice soup.Cons:No pork.Their Baby corn may well be the single most hated dish Ive ever had.Dine in has no AC so you may prefer to get food delivered to your house.

The serve time is also less than 5-10 minutes. Only the locality is not nice but the food is authentic Chinese made by Chinese people. I am regular here. This place is closed on Sundays only.
