Went there for lunch today as it was my girlfriends birthday. Well it was a great experience as the food was outstanding in taste and in terms of portion size as well. ITC never compromises its quality and today I had to admit regarding the quantity as well. Usually in 5 Stars you get portion sizes in smaller quantities, in comparison to other normal restaurants. However, I am amazed to see the portion sizes maintained by ITC as we were so full that we had to pack the extras which we could not had. Coming to the food, we had Sikandari Raan - Murgh Malai Kebab - 2 types of Kulcha and Butter Naan accompanied with 2 mocktails. All the items were amazing and tastes delicious. The ambiance is awesome as you can feel the essence of Peshawar in Kolkata. Gesture of the staffs were too good. Special Thanks to Shantanu who guided us through the entire menu and recommended us for the dishes. Last but not the least I had to thank Shantanu once again for his warm gesture as we were served the mocktail and the Dal Bukhara free of cost just coz it was my girlfriends birthday and we were referred by one of the previous colleague of Shantanu named Vineet . So approximately 1700rs food free of cost . This was something great for us. Would recommend Peshawri if you are looking for authentic North Indian food .

I had heard so much about this restaurant so decided to take my family here. The decor and ambiance is very good. We ordered the chicken and mutton kebab full platter with 20 pieces and it was nice. The chicken could have been tender. For main course, we ordered garlic naan, onion kulcha, dal bukhara (their signature dish) and makhani murgh. The naan was good in size and our server informed us that we should start with 2 because the naans here are big. The dal bukhara was kind of ok. The makhani murgh was delectable but more gravy and less chicken. The kulfi was awesome. Overall a nice experience but i expected more. Service was nice but for even small things like paper towels and cutlery we had to keep asking. They added an extra item in my bill and thank god i checked that. They though apologized for it. There was then an issue with printing out the bill.

Spent a birthday at Peshawari. Missed a dew things - the famous Bukhara naan is not being served. The dal bukhara for which I visit Peshawari has dipped in taste but its still good.The ambience was always good.

Dal bukhara was simply out of this world followed by Kebab platter comprising of inviting, tender, tasty kebabs full of rich flavour.Service was moderately good with slight delays here & there. Perhaps they were a little short on manpower, but, not lacking on effort though.A truly satisfying dining experience indeed.

Good place for kebab....sitting arrangements should be made more comfortable.Also prices are a bit too high compared to the plate size

The food was average. You may try Daal which i really liked. Didnt try non veg items, hence this review is particularly for vegetarians visiting there.

This is one my favorite restaurant, always available with ITC hotels.Very good service, atmosphere, and kababs. I recommend reshmi or peshawri kabab.The Dhal was also amazing.Finish up with a Kulfi (ice cream). Food was excellent, while following strict hygiene standards. Compared to other similar restaurants in Hyatt or Marriott, the place is costly. Their dessert offerings are severely limited. This is a place for traditional Afghani Kababs, Dal and Naan. Very tasty food.

One of the very high end restaurants I have visited but this experience was something I remember and am very fond of. Since I went here on my birthday and everything was so amazing. The Food quality of course was very good and the other thing worth mentioning is the way this restaurant is themed.

And my #birthday celebrations ended on a high #yesterday night with an epic dinner with family at Peshawri..Enjoyed #SamundariKhazana - that #lobster & the #daal was to die for alongwith those delicious #muttonkababs.. The service again was impeccable to say the least.. Nice place but should have more options for veg

The food was very good.Full marks for the interior.We went for a team lunch there and we ordered chicken kebabs fish kebabs and main course.And dal.and one mutton run itemThe dal was not up to the mark.the the behavior of the staffs was not as I expected.

Delicious food and phenomenal service! We had the subz seekh kabab, the paneer khurchan and the daal Bukhara. Each dish was so delicious and filling. The staff was very attentive and courteous. All in all, an amazing dining experience!

Truly a 5* experience.The enigmatic staff and their lovely indian attire made a great statement. The exclusive decor and the ornate carpets and antique pieces on the walls made it more interesting than ever. The staff did a wonderful job keeping us enjoying our time at Peshawri. Coming to the food, dal Bukhara and murgh khurchan, as suggested by fellow Zomatoers, turned out to be exquisite and truly lip smacking. The drinks, mocktails and cocktails were superb too. Id put up my coat on the hangar just to relax throughout the evening. The muddha or small seats were good looking to the you but a little uncomfortable in the long run.The paan in the end was also a touch of good taste. The other food items that we tried were fish tikka, paneer tikka, murgh malai tikka and tandoori aloo for the starters. For the main course we had garlic naan, mixed veg, murgh khurchan, dal Bukhara (its out of the world). It was truly a pleasure having a dinner here. Most importantly, they didnt had cutlery on the tables and asked us to have food with your bare hands. Came as a shock to some of us though 😋, but they give to whosoever needs it. Always delicious, high-quality body of workers and the thrill of consuming a meal with out cutlery is a superb icebreaker. Sikandari Raan is still the exceptional dish on the menu, a menu that is so properly subtle. usually a delight and always a surprise, this sort of beautiful emblem.

Fabulous food great atmosphere and good service

This is located in basement of ITC Sonar, Kolkata. Interiors is great but seating can be made more comfortable by providing back support. Food is at par with the brand of ITC. Nothing special in the menu but Dal Bukhara is a must try. Ambience was not at par with a 5 star hotel, service can also be improved.

It was a really nice experience. And the food was “lajawaab”. The corporation of all the coordinators was impressive. Will like to come back here soon!!

Its been years since i started loving this place. Authenticness of food they have remains similar doesnt matter to the state in which you are having. Every time i got a chance to visit i do go there. Some of my favorites are Dal bukhara, Paneer Khurchan, Murg Tandoori and the whole starter pack they have. I will definitely recommend it to everyone.

It is really expensive... average food.... below average service... we were 9 people but the table provided was for 6 people... and they didnot take any effort to make our sitting arrangements... there was no spoon or tissues on the table... and when we asked for they couldnt provide it promptly... service is very slow... food was not warm... really disappointed....

The kebabs here are an absolute treat!!! The staff recommended some great dishes and the much coveted Dal Bukhara did not let down at all. The taste and service makes it a lovely dining experience.

Went for a friend’s birthday treat...tried the over hyped dal Bukhara,chicken khurchan, kebab platter,kulfi and butter naan.Food was above average.Dal was buttery creamy and tasted decent though I was expecting something mind blowing.Chicken kababs were good,there was no fish or prawn in the assortment and mutton was soft.Naan was layered almost like lacha paratha.They arranged complementary birthday cake for us.It was chocolate mousse cake and was yummy.Service and hospitality and hygiene precautions were excellent.Kulfi was decent no syrup and mocktails were great!There is no cutlery for eating the main course or starters.Also no rice item is available in the menu.Very selected menu.It’s a theme restaurant and the look and feel is rustic.

The most disappointing and third class staff behaviour. I went on a Thursday for lunch at about 2pm only to realise the restaurant was closed. There was no such info available on the online site that the restaurant is closed neither the staff there had any clue whether the restaurant is open or closed. This kind of disparity is not expected. Especially the staff at entrance satyaban and kusum , even after asking them for reasons for the same they refused to give any answer nor did seek an apology for the inconvenience.

No cellphone network in the restaurant and as such QR code cant be read for menu. They refuse to provide Wi-Fi as it is only for house guest. Thier EDC machines not working and failed to transact on credit card both Mastercard and Visa failed and them after lit of embarrassing moments in front of guests and 20 minutes later on my request got a Amex machine and then I was forced to use my Amex card which I use only for business expenses the payment got done. Very embarrassing and not becoming of a 5 star hotel. Mosquito menace can be overlooked in account of being natural phenomenon but.........

While food was excellent, we experienced late service due to reduced staff . Seats were terribly uncomfortable. There was error in billings (over billings on drinks) and overall time to get the bill corrected / presented was almost 30 mins!!!

We had there to celebrate my mothers birthday, who turned 73. Reception was well warming. Location of this restaurant is in the basement of the building. One can reach there only by walking through stairs (no lift service). This is a troublesome exercise for elderly persons.This restaurant serves good Afgani food with Liquor. Speciality dish of this Restaurant is Dal Bukhara. Cooking time required for this Kali dal based authentic Afgani dish is more than twenty hour. we realy relished food over here in this restaurant.This is an upscale restaurant and expensive too. Perssonels are well groomed and helpful.

Very poor experience starters were good but main course did not satisfied me the signature dish of Peshawari Dal Bukhara dont have any taste at all, service was excellent.

The Dal Bukhara, Sikandri Raan, Fish Tikka and Garlic Naan are a must try as per my opinion. Can’t thank Shantanu, Apurba and Ram enough for the assistance throughout. Not to forget, since it was my parent’s anniversary they surprised us with a yummy cute little chocolate cake which was pure love. Must visit for the ambience and definitely the best north west frontier cuisine.

The restaurant is in ITC Sonar. Beautifully decorated with a timber cabin look and has copper glasses and utensils. Plates are ceramic and one is expected to use their hands for eating. Food is good, prices are reasonable. Had gone for Sunday lunch, spacious restaurant but was hardly occupied.

Most terrible place that I have even been to. The staff is just robotic who would not understand your concern about anything. Most uncomfortable seating. Food is just not upto the mark. I have been a fan of Indian restaurants and try to eat Indian food all the time during my visit to India. So far this has been the worse experience ever. I am so surprised by the staffs stubborn behavior. They would not accommodate you with a desired seat neither would address any food quality concern. I would highly recommend not to visit this place it is definitely going to ruin your dining experience.

I had only Veg food. The food was good , but a bit too heavy (too much Ghee and butter) for me. However service was impeccable.

Taste good but sitting needs improvement

The food is excellent but what irks is the staffs insistence to eat by hand, especially when my Japanese guests werent willing to. The manager kept on interrupting our important discussions asking about taste to the guests which became irritating after a while. Food wise, Peshawri is amongst the best in India. No complaints about that.

Its a restaurant at ITC Sonar.Offers awesome, delectable, authentic Frontier food with fresh ingredients in exquisite ambience. Best I have ever had.. Even my kids loved the food.And you can see them preparing too..Vegetarians will also love the vegetarian food they offer. They maintain the dignity of vegetarians.

The place has a good food with very limited options, but the service is very pathetic. Waiters r not at all willing to serve the guests properly. Guests has to ask for everything again for water refilling, onions refilling n others. They r least bothered about the comfort zone of the guests. I talked to the manager he however was sorry for the behavior of his team. But it was not a standard of ITC.

Yes! What a great find downstairs at this hotel. Loved my meal from the first to the last bite.

Food was great. But menu lacks variety. They used the same mint chutney for all kebabs which made my taste pallette bland. The interiors of the restaurant is below average. In an attempt to keep the Peshawar vibe (failed attempt), they didnt keep in mind the comfort that one needs while eating. Stools are really not expected from a restaurant of an esteemed hotel. And the staff needs to be more attentive.
