Shaktibad Ashram was founded on the principle of Worshipping Shakti, the female energy behind the Universe. The Ashram is just on the main road connecting Garia Station and Garia More. The Premises of the Ashram has Three main temples, the Old Temple, the New Temple and the Temple of Nine Planets. There is also Samadhi/Resting Place of the Founder of The Ashram. The Ashrams main concept is Ananda (Happiness or Bliss). The Ashram and its Guru (Swami Souravananda) tried to manifest that Bliss through various Ceremonies, like Durga Puja or Navratri, Twice a year, one that was celebrated by Ravan and the other celebrated by Ram. Diwali, Shivratri and various other Pujas are also organised. In the year 2020, even Kumari Puja was organised. The Main Guru, worships the Gods and Goddesses every single day. If one has to do Abhishekam of any ring, or idol, Guruji does that too. Apart from that, Shraddhs are also organised. Private Pujas too are organised if requested for. The Gurur is very knowledgeable. And not typical old school Guru, but very modern, along with the current times. If you want Guidance from the Guru, that is also available. There is also Gurumaa, who was the previous head of the Ashram. The Ashram Grounds have a Calm Atmosphere. Once you enter the Ashram, you will find a peaceful atmosphere. Its greenery and silence multiplies the effect. You can come and sit inside the Ashram any time between the open hours.
