The full name of the Sevashrama is Noapara Ramakrishna Vivekananda Sevashrama. The Sevashrama is a member of North 24 Parganas Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhaba Prachar Parishad(1).Established in 1980, situated almost beside Krishnanagar road, it is the only ashrama at Barasat to the western side of the Sealdah-Bongaon railway line, affiliated to RKVBPP, in Ramakrishna Vivekananda movement.
