Using Gem cinema as a gallery is perhaps the best thing that has been done to it in years. The place is amazing for exhibitions!

Although Gem cinema is closed now a days, I mean no screening there this days. But Gem cinema is the place for various art exhibition. Be it painting or photography. If you are a photographer or film maker you will find this place very attractive and interesting as well

One of the oldest Cinema in Kolkata.. But right now it is used for art gallery because it is burnt around 20 years ago. The best place to visit is the small gem Cinema.The projection room is also awesome. You can see the old projectors and the reels. We visited this theatre where installation art and photography exhibition of some famous personalities were on display.

Its closed,around couple of years ago...but it was very famous at his time,now it is a heritage of kolkata.
