We went here for our first dose of covid which was supposed to be given today even after all valid documents the super of the ward I repeat the super of the ward threw us away disrespectfully I urge any power of authority to take necessary action towards his job.You might be a government official but you need to treat people like human beings !

It is the only “SISHU HOSPITAL” located in the heart of the city Kolkata under the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal. The Phoolbagan Campus (111 Narkeldanga Main Road, Kolkata - 700054) is comprised of 420 beds in 28,577.369 Sq. Mt. of land area comprising of mainly two buildings, Old Building and Annex Building. The old building premises is a three (3) storied one. Each floor having area of 25,000 Sq. Ft. The Emergency, OPD Dispensary, Storage, Radiology, Enquiry, OPD - Pathology, Oxygen manifold and Administrative Block consisting of Principal’s Chambers, Medical Superintendent’s Chamber and other Administrative Officer’s Chamber are located on the ground floor. The first floor houses operation complex, 3 Surgical Wards, Seminar Room, Record Room, Pathology, Biochemistry, Microbiology Departments etc. The top floor houses general wards for Paediatric.The Annex building is comprised of 10,000 Sq. Ft. floor where another patients are accommodated. In this building SNCU, NICU, PICU, NHDU, Triage for Newborns, Newborn wards , Library, Seminar Room, Nursing, Administration and Paediatric Faculties room are situated.We also have a separate campus where another 200 beds are allotted for Orthopedic, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. DEIC and Centre of Excellence for Cerebral Palsy are two new upcoming project. It is scattered in a land of 2,789.596 Sq. Mt. People all over the state of West Bengal always prefer to bring their children when they are very sick and in critical condition. Physician working in different parts of the state also refer children to this hospital in preference making this hospital very popular to the people all over the state.This 420 bedded hospital having annual admission of around 20,000 with OPD attendance of 2,50,000 per year with 24 hours Emergency Service is probably the biggest paediatric hospital in India. The presently existing infrastructure in this hospital is massive and far superior compared to the infrastructure available in other state level paediatric referral units in this state. Besides huge general paediatric ward we have Paediatric Surgery Department with bed strength of 60 consisting of two units is a feature of this hospital. Very good Government initiative somehow not blossomed due to lack of infrastructure, infamous work culture among Government employees as usual. But, it is serving patients across all level of the society, particularly from poor and lower middle class strata. It has very good connection with other part of the city via railway and road net work which would be bolstered when Phoolbagan station of East West metro network would start its service.

My son has been admitted to hospital & treatment has done excellent from doctors but I bye self & others parents mostly face the problems that we cant meet our wives during meeting time 4 to 6 pm because we are not allowed to enter into the ward room so our time spent false & we get less time to talk/discuss/get children health/treatment message with our wiveSo, children parents (father/relative/friends etc) seeking this problem too much So we request from admin to keep one staff male/female in front of ward as parents can inform him/her to call their wives & discuss the patient situation.Hope my suggestion would be acceptable in futureDoctors & other working facilities are excellent/brilliantThis is the best Govt hospital in our state & in our country

This is one of the best Government Child Hospital in kolkata. Indoor facility of this hospital is good and doctors give regular visit. Nurses and helping people is always available here. Hospital is clean and environment is quite hospitable. Admitted childs parents or gurdian can visite in visiting hours. Outdoor facility it really good and you will get low cost medicine store here in the hospital premesis. Patients name announcement is done loudly by microphone so that no one misses the call. Patients parents or gurdians are allowed to stay in the daytime in a specific place prepared for them outside the hospital building during the waiting hours. They usually brings mat, bedsheets,foods and varies necessary things for themselves and wait in the waiting place. There is also toilet facility for the waiting patients and patient guardians.Swipers and cleaners are always cleaning the hospital premises. You will not find a single bit of bad smell here. That tells the higienis of the hospital.Ambience of the hospital is very good. Big big trees are here and there. So, in summer time also people can get shadow and greenery in the hospital. USG and CT scan is done here also.Ive seen people coming here from very very far places of kolkata and kolkata surrounding. From other districts also people comes here with there pain and suffering.Doctors here are efficient, reliable , well-behaved and sympathetic.

Best government pediatric hospital. Although there is some issues going on this days regarding their services but in my opinion their service are good and helpful. Good doctors are available here with NICU and PICU facilities.well maintained.24 hrs CT SCAN facilities are also available. A fair price medicine shop is also there.
