One of the big cheaters of India. They train their staffs on how to cheat on visa applicants. They hide the regular procedure of obtaining visa and only demonstrate the expensive way. The helpline would support their staff as this is how the organization is training them to earn extra money.

Hello! I applied for my Short Term Study Visa on 9 September 2021. I received an SMS on 11 September 2021 that my application has been sent to UK Visas and Immigration. I have not received any information on my Visa since then. Today is 2nd October 2021. I have tried to send enquiries through email and the site. Yet received NO RESPONSE. This is frustrating and I feel like killing myself as my course has already started in the University and I have no clue about the VISA. I am a middle class person. Cannot spend thousands on Express services.

I went for my UK student visa. The place was very organised and the whole process was very systematic. The people present there were trying there best to cooperate and make the experience a pleasant one.They know what they are doing and assist as much as they can.My biometrics and documents scanning hardly took 30 minutes.Overall was quite pleased with their work.

It mainly handles schgehen visas. Its good and organized. But the fellow who handled our visa was a bit too cocky and unprofessional.

Employees are very cooperative. However, receiving the VISA depends on the rush, not in hand of VFS. Still they help you with tracking in their limits.

It was an Amazing Experience. Everything was so Systematic and all the Staffs were really helpful.

VFS Kolkata provides good service and are timely in processing visas.However, they refuse to accept debit/credit card payments; the website says clearly that they accept.

My passport and other documents are misplaced by the vfs Kolkata.I have mailed them more than 7/8 times followed with innumerable calls.All they say is they have forwarded my mail to the concerned deparment.Its been 1 and half months i havent been updated with a single piece of information regarding my documents.The customer service is the worst.And they say they ship the package through bluedart but dont deliver to Delhi,what a shame ..i m so out of my patience.this is really disguisting

Efficient service with low number of people in this covid situation. One can fill up their application here for a fee. Photocopy and photography booth available for a fee. No electronic equipment (tabs, laptops, pen drives etc.) allowed inside.

We have got excellent service from VFS Global. We did opt for premium lounge service for our Visa application. Premises is very neat and secure. Staffs are very helpful. I really appreciate Ms. Manisha who was with us through out the process amd made our experience better here.

The entrance have a sanitizer tunnel and temperature checks are ensured in every counter, they have a smooth process from the ground floor. The UK and Ireland visa office is on the 5th floor and the staffs over there are very friendly and helpful. Overall a very comfortable process.

Keep your stuffs like laptop, power bank, helmet etc.at home. Charge you 100 rs. for keeping the bag with them.For Australia it is much more stringent.Another solution could be keeping bag in one of the shop in Acropolis.Super slow employees.Keep cash ready. Card payment will take time. There is a atm nearby. You can bring cash. That is what has been said to me.

The employees are very friendly. I got my biometrics done in mere 15 minutes, including wait time. And got my work permit letter 2 days after that.

All the VFS executives are working like an agent and misguiding people on the charges, the process, documentation and even on the photo required for visa application due to which rejection rate is heavily increasing for the applications filed at VFS centers, an executive standing at the entry gate is giving wrong information to the applicants coming there, just trying to sell the premium service which is an additional cost of around Rs 3500/- other than the Embassy fees and other charges, stating that its mandatory for all whereas its not, giving entry to only those applicants who are ready on the payment terms which are not mandatory like the premium service, SMS and courier service, the executive at the specific countrys counter adds SMS charges of Rs 340/- by default without informing to the applicants whereas its an optional service, most of the time they reject the correct format passport sized photo and recommend people to have clicked new photo at their own photo booth which is in VFS premises itself who charge Rs 150/- for only 6 photos which is generally not in correct format and due to which rejection takes place, looks like they are just trying to recover the earnings due to the heavy loss during lockdown, not only VFS Kolkata but this is same in all other VFS locations

Vfs global is one stop centre for UK Ireland visa at 5th flr of Rene Tower. Plenty of experienced stuffs to assist you during the process although the queues are too long, Waiting time for Ireland is bit more than UK. Always Ive a good experience overall.

Idk what type of clowns works there that cant set even one appointment . They should just shut their shutters . One of the worst services . Shame on you vfs kolkata .

Visa application is fairly fast and organized. But they need to improve crowd handling.

The centre is spacious with sufficient number of staff.Time approximate taken for full processing is around 1.5 hrs measured by entry time and exit time.Staff executives were polite and humble and extended all possible courtesy.Other services: VFS charges a lot on those services.Photo service is Rs.150 (only 6 copies) and the quality is pathetic.Per page printing cost is Rs 20/- and when I gave the look for such high charge the staff just smiled and I understood he knows it absurd but cant help it.They allow to enter inside probably 30Mins before your appointment time, so plan accordingly.

Recently I have been there for Visa . it was a good experience. staff are good and help full. They also have computers and printers for the visa applicants if they need to download any thing or if they forget to bring any papers with them . It is chargeable.But there are something I didnt like thats onspot if they tell you that the picture dimensions are wrong then you need to take pictures there only and pay almost 10 time the price outside.the price of photocopying (Xerox ) is almost 30 times the price outside.So if you are using there service its very good . But before going there please take all the photocopy with the right dimension picture with you . Dont get surprised like me

Excellent services for the people who seek help to get a visa easily without going to Delhi. The queue system and electronic display boards are there to maintain the discipline among the crowd. The people employed there with VFS global are well-mannered and bears a good behaviour with whosoever they deal. VFS Global is trustworthy to get your visa at reasonable price.

Efficient staff and fast service for visa processing. Printing, xerox and internet facility are available inside at a cost in case you have missed getting some document but the cost is quite high. Do not carry any pendrive.

The VFS global office in Rene Tower, Kolkata has all the counters that one would need to visit under a single roof. Once you pass the security check, you are issued a token. When your token number appears on the screen you are required to visit a specified counter for document submission. In case you have the wrong application form, theres a small counter at the entrance that will issue you the required forms free of cost. Also, they have photo camera and photo printing facilities. The people at the counter know the specifications of photo required for each countrys visa. So in case you have a photo with the wrong size, you can get a new one clicked for Rs. 100.I had to wait for an hour to get the biometric done after the documents submission. But I think the process changes with countries. I had applied for an Italian tourist visa.The cash counter is also nearby. Theyll give you a payment receipt at the end. Keep it safe with you. Note down the tracking number and also the website for tracking your visa application status.

The people at the counter were courteous... helpful.. Helped in arranging the documents.. But the cashier for taking Visa fees was a bit grumpy and not explained properly(a black toned young guy) other than that the air conditioning, security and everything was fine.

They fixed an appointment but closed the office on the day of appointment without giving any information in advance. Because of them I missed my train and had to cancel all my plans costing me a fortune. They say that they informed everyone but when I looked at their document, my number was not even there. I tried taking photos of the calling database but they forced me out of the office.

Staffs are well behaved however couple of factors that needs attention.Payment method of visa fees should be collected by card instead of cash.Extremely slow services to process for biometric collection.

I wish I can give negative stars for VFS Kolkata. One of my friends went to this location for Switzerland Visa. The applicant (and almost everyone that walked in) was told to retake the photos even though the photos carried by the applicant met all Schengen Visa rules. It cost about Rs. 300/- for 4 photos and there was virtually NO difference in the pictures when compared to what the applicant originally had. This is called daylight robbery and whosoever is the contracted photographer is minting money off of such an arrangement.Secondly, the applicant was asked to produce flight itineraries for travel from Australia back to India. The applicants actual itinerary was Mumbai-Paris-Austria-Switzerland-Australia.Why should the applicant produce a flight ticket from Australia to India. It should the job of the Australian authorities to demand for such a ticket and NOT the Schengen Embassies. I think this is more of an issue (or a sort of harrassment) with VFS Kolkata location specifically because a similar applicant in a different VFS center did not have to produce such a flight itinerary.This VFS Kolkata scam needs to be looked into by the relevant authorities.I will bring this to the attention of the Switzerland and other Schengen State Consulates as well so they can investigate into this and take appropriate actions so future applicants are not harassed at this VFS location.I would strongly suggest you use a different VFS center if possible and avoid VFS Kolkata at all cost.--UPDATE--I personally looked at the photos that my friend had taken and compared it to what was taken at the VFS location and I wasnt surprised that the VFS photo was of much worser quality. This is a pure rip off, hope media or authorities bust this scam and sack all those employees that are doing this to the common man.Also the employee at VFS stated to my friend that she would not send the documents to the Consulate if he did not provide the flight ticket for return from US. This is NOT the job of that employee, she is only there to collect documents and forward it to the respective Consulate that will then decide on the case. But, bluntly stating that she would not send the document over is sheer harassment or even could be consider as a threat to the applicant. This is illegal what is happening at this location.I also learnt that people were stuck from the morning until evening. This goes to show that this location is not being operated efficiently because I guess those handling (or mis-handling) the applicant is not probably educated. They seem to be behaving like arrogant school/college dropouts that have no sense of professionalism in them.I hope someone from the media or respective authorities or even then CEO of VFS Global take serious note of this daylight robbery occurring at the VFS Kolkata office and make sure the necessary actions are taken against these perpetrators.

When VFS was introduced, I was very happy with their services.But now unfortunately, this organisation is nothing but a bunch of scammers. Having us to pay for all the smallest of the services. The application submission has become more complex compelling people to opt for their services.

Vfs service in Kolkata is helpful. The photo booth is present in the service so it was really great for me.You can track your visa status too.They charge 100 bucks for keeping your baggage outside. And 20 bucks for print out service per page.

A visa Center for almost all countries around the world.Nothing systematic outside it’s a mess. inside the counters it’s ok. Some people are very nice and informative but some have a attitude like government servant or they think they are really Embassy guys.Indian service sector is far far behind its counterpart countries. People see the whole world but don’t change or improvise anything.

I was taken aback by the negative reviews, but the employees at VFS Kolkata who processed my application were extremely polite and helpful. Although the security guards were a little rude. But I got my Turkish tourist visa within 3 working days. Among the paid services, only the sms is worth it if you stay in Kolkata.

Located on the main road.No parking is available within the building premise, if you are commuting using a two wheeler, then can park in KFC parking right below the VFS centre and if you travel by car, parking can be done in Acropolis mall, bang across the road.A Xerox shop, photo shop and a cyber cafe (computer for print outs) is available within the VFS Centre, for a nominal fee. Please carry your own pen.

Simply a time wasting process better to apply through small travel agents they deal with them fast especially student visa ...they r of no help.I applied for Belgium visa but I have to visit them thrice as they dont give complete information once they tell this once they tell that.The worst part was Wen I have to report at their Delhi consulate just for filling a silly questionnaire.Its been over a month now that I have got no info about my visa and my piers from Mumbai and Delhi got visa within 1 or 2 day as they didnt chose VFS global but instead some local travel agent.Such a shame. It would have been better if I would have known this before.

Your data can be leaked to fraudulent people through VFS global kolkata. It already happened with us for twice, which resulted into huge moneytary loss. Most unfortunate part is, we dont have any other visa services for UK at this moment from India. So be aware and take each and every step very carefully. Receptionists behaviour is very rude. They do charge for scanning and uploading documents like anything(min 5000 INR) eventhough you have uploaded your documents in online.

I applied for Japan visa. Just call them and ask the necessary informations. It took 5 working days to get my visa.

Try to make sure you have proper documents. They dont check well. Youll be on your own if you forget to give a document. Also make sure you dont have to take printout or Xerox there. They take 20 Rs per page for normal print.

Very organised and helpful people. The only problem is that if you forget a document and you need an urgent print or a scan the prices are 20 times what is available from the outside. Otherwise, they are absolutely helpful in all manner and very courteous.

They misplaced my passport. VFS charged me a bomb for priority visa. I was supposed to receive it on priority basis but even after so many days I didnt get any SmS or email giving me any passport update. It is extremely difficult to reach them. They charge money tp even contact them for a small query. After I reached the VFS centre tp enquire, they said they dispatched my passport without informing me though sms or emails. They gave me a traching number of bluedart. I called bluedart and got to know that my passport courier cannot be tracked and they misplaced it because VFS didnt give them any reference number. They charged me more than 30k for priority service but I didnt get my visa till date and to add to the wounds they misplaced my passport.

There are few things which i did not like, i carried power bank in my bag, they did not allow to take inside the office. That was not the issue, I appreciate secuirity concern but they have suggested to keep bag in locker and charged me Rs 100/-. People can buy bag in that amount. Waiting time is a bit higher post 11 oclock if you are in rush, plan accordingly. I saw 2-3 girls doing chit chat inside the counter but they could not open the counter Courier charges 310/- for my location, which is less than 45 min/ 25 KM away. Key factor is that if you want to collect from counter you need wait one more day. Where as for courier service is faster than manual collection. Apart from all these other services are good. The guy who hanlded my application was cooperative and his attitude was good.

Rude people and very horrible service. They are curt with people who are travelling for the first time; my husband and parents faced a lot of issues trying to get their applications processed, as they were not ready to explain anything properly. You are an insult to the other VFS globals. I have been to the ones in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai and they are very very helpful and pleasant. Request you to kindly replace your rudeness with helpfulness.

They were the best before the Chinese visa application center opened. Generally helpful. But over crowded. One of the computer terminals are not working over an year. Had to wait 30 mins just to pick up my passport.

Very disappointing experience with security personnel at front desk of fifth floor. We expect them to more professional ,customer friendly & with better understanding of customer needs , specially accompanying persons with candidates applying for visa. Hardly any seating arrangement even in ground floor.

The staff are well mannered for sure but the pain point is that they are not efficient enough in time management and as a consequence what happens is, a work that should ideally take 30-45 mins gets stretched to 3-4 hrs. You will notice people wasting time by just loitering around but not attending you.Regarding the device allowed, make sure you do not take any digital device other than phone. Apart from this if you need to keep bags, there are lockers available but that is a place where the VFS office will rob you. Its charge is Rs 103/hr which is nothing but robbery.Now coming to photo-copies, please do not do xerox/printouts from within the VFS office. They charge Rs 20/page which is just looting people and nothing else. Even if you need to take xeroxes, just go out of the Rene Towers and there is Kasba New Market within 100 meters distance of the building. This market has 2 xerox centers-Ground Floor and 1st Floor.Please like if you think the feedback is useful.

Really, Even i dont want to give 1 star for this dirty and slow VFS in kolkata. VFS and Austrian Embassy is the too much worst. 45 days past i give my VISA documents everything in order on my document. Now They cant even issue visa as per the after travel date, the people who booked flight and confirmed the tickets has to loose their all money and even the people over there will not work properly. They are really 5th class passed people to serve our VISA in our beloved country. GET OUT OF From NEW DELHI WE DONT NEED YOU, SHAME ON YOU AUSTRIAN PEOPLE SHAME ON YOU. Its on the 4th and 5th floor of RENE tower. Can apply for VISA of all European countries. Come prepared with all the required documents, passport photos should be as per prescribed norms. Theres facility for printing and xerox and also for passport photos at the same place (additional charges applicable). Pen drives and liquid items not allowed inside. They allow entrance only 15 minutes prior to appointment time. Whole process may take upto 1 hour. Good luck 👍

Service is no doubt very good. Helpful staff but the security needs to identify the agents who go upstairs before the scheduled time which causes the individuals who come to submit their own application to stay in queue for a long long time.
