I went with my family, and I am greatly satisfied with the entire stay. I highly recommend this place.Ms. REMI at the checkin counter is very warm and hospitable. She made sure to keep everything ready, and explained all facilities and amenities very clearly, with timings and other policies.The room dining and service is also very good, and swift. The quality of the food is also good. They also have many options for children. Even during breakfast, there is good variety of food, mostly vegetarian, and the service is good. During our checkout day, Ms. SUNANDA checked on us during breakfast, and took good care.The best part of the resort is the great list of facilities and activities. The pool is greatly amazing, and spa, activity room with free carrom, ludo, fuss ball, etc is also very good. We also did the kayak, and boating, and appreciate the experience.Coming to the room, we took a garden room, so the kid can have direct access to garden from the room, and it was very good. The rooms 1014 - 1022 are perfect for having a garden access from your room. The best room is 1017, the kids pool is right opposite these garden rooms. You can also enjoy your own smokes, shisha and drinks.Highly recommended.Cons - Poor wifi, slow buggy / golf cart during rains.

Rooms are spacious and the property is clean BUT food is not good at all and very expensive ( not worth the amount at all). Room services are pathetic to say the least...they took more an hour to bring a glass of milk for my 2 year old and charged 200 for that..A lot of the gaming/outdoor activities should have been free for on house guests...overall not worth for the hole it does in your pocket

Great place for an overnight staycation. Peaceful and serene.In the room, requires maintenance to guarantee seamless/complain less stay though. Room service is not 24 hours contrary to what the receptionist informed at check-in.

We went there with so much expectation to have a nice staycation finally after lockdown. We choose this property among others because of the host of activities they advertised and the interesting spread of food on their Instagram page.But the experience was extremely disappointing! Food option is terrible!! They have 3 restaurants but only 1 was function with limited dishes. So limited options for non vegetarians, all activities closed after 8pm, and lights turned off throughout the property forcing us to stay confined in the room. The experience was not justified for the price paid. It seemed that everywhere they tried to do cost cutting at the expense of customer experience. Would definitely NOT BE RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.The two star given is only because the room was decent and the property was nice till there was daylight.

The entire experience at Amaya was amazing. We drove down there, were given instant 5 star treatment. Wrishita, at the Reception was waiting outside for us to check in and helped us drive through to our rooms. She ensured that people were available to tend to every need and even when we needed nothing. The NH6 Bar had a wide variety of mocktails, cocktails and drinks available. Sanjeevan, the Captain, helped us choose drinks, snacks and even dinner. The Food was exquisite. The Chef, Bidesh, came over to us to check on whether we were happy enough. The suggestions, the preparation and presentation was way beyond my expectation. My sons had a great time in the swimming pool and played foosball, table tennis, snooker and carrom at the Recreation centre, ably manned by Pradip. The rooms themselves were of the highest quality, spacious and comfortable with every amenity you can think of. We strongly recommend this beautiful property for a quick getaway just over an hours drive from the bustle of Calcutta.

Do take Ur pool Balls and No need for taking cricket equipments ..Yess they have it..including volleyball and Football..10 out of 10

Well the property is nice. There is no argue about that. The restaurant and menu is not very comfortable for the in house guests. Moreover they serve very less in one portion, even by the standards of Kolkata they serve very less, let go of the other cities and hotels. Very dissatisfied with the in house service. The tv doesnt work. The wifi is barely active. Internet connectivity is very poor and few staffs are insensitive and rude too. I felt like gosh what more to expect. Moreover they allow men to go into swimming pool half naked. Zero sensibility and zero etiquettes.

Overpriced and unsafe1. NO COVID norms followed - Staff doesn’t wear masks. Swimming pool and restaurants operational even during lockdown.2. Food is terribly overpriced. We were charged 700/- just for ice, which is purely a scam.3. Please order your food 1.5 hours in advance. The in-house dining will say 30mins but deliver after 1.5+4. Front desk is rude and inexperienced, has no idea how to deal with guests.

Located some 2 hours away from Kolkata, its a good place to relax. Away from the city, located on the highway, the resort is well developed. Its well maintained, rooms are large and spacious. They are eqipped with all the basic amenities.The food is very good. Freshly cooked and flavourful. Overall a good place to head to for a weekend.

The place is good but the goodness feeling dampens after you see the bill.Everything is exorbitant here be it foods,rooms and activities. Food is good but becomes bitter when you see the prices.Two bottles of mineral water are charged Rs.220.Rooms are clean but I noticed an insect crawling up the pillow at night.Rooms do not justify the high price tag of near about ten thousand a night.Food service is very slow at restaurant. If u order food at your room,youll be charged 15% extra which is ridiculous.You can let it go,there are much economical but premium places available.

Lunch and dinner both are expensive and menu is limited with average quality. Breakfast is amazing. Room service is okayish. The property is very well designed with lovely rooms, garden area, local club with table tennis, pool etc, lake, bar, swimming pool, live music facilities. So overall nice experience!

The resort is huge but the service is VERY poor. The administration, house keeping and food is also very very poor. There is no courtesy and respect by the service staff. Number of staff is much less than the requirements and hence less bookings should be taken in these situations.

Very expensive, not value for money, it was under IHG, but not now. Rates are very expensive for food and rooms. Property is gooda and huge.. overall not value for money, given when in Kolkata you get 5 star at less than 50$. The resort charge is 100 $ +.

The place is huge and well maintained.Even during these covid time, they are doing a fabulous job. The staff if wearing mask and are ready to help with whatever you ask.How can I miss sharing, beautiful personalised room decorations for your loved ones.Everything around admist of nature is so beautiful and stunning that you will fall in love with the place. Its beautiful, relaxing but doesnt have good room service. Maybe it was because they cant handle full occupancy or something, but it was disappointing to not get basic toiletries and water even after an hour of requesting them

Beautiful resort....lots of amenities....but the restaurant is extremely expensive...there were many people staying at the resort but I always saw the restaurant empty and thats the only reason....theres a dhaba just across the resort and we had to have our meals there...otherwise amazing stay!

Every thing was perfect, except the receptionist, Sapna. She made us wait for an hour with our kids before we could check in. During check out after having cleared all the dues with another receptionist, Sapna called my husband back from the main gate while we were driving towards it. On reaching the reception she said oh! You have paid, sorry go back. She makes guests feel like unwanted goons and is vv lazy and careless in doing her job, pl do something about it, before she ruins all the other good aspects of your resort.While the house keeping team, chef, Pradeep ji, Vishal all were excellent in terms of service

From the reception you are provided complementary electric totos for going to the restaurant.Food tested very good and priced according to the standard of the place. 8 pcs of very tasty kababs will set you back by about 900/-, including GST.Accommodation is very expensive. Two nights will set you back by about 26000/-, including GST.

Amazing hospitality offered! Staff was very warm and welcoming, never left a moment to complain. The hotel still isnt fully constructed, but most of it is in running condition. The location is very quite and a welcome respite from the hubbub of the city. The room service menu could definitely add a lot more options, as its very limited. All in all, an excellent stay!

31st @THE AMAYA RESORT, ULUBERIA. Kolkata NH6How exciting are 31st celebrations! How exciting it gets when you are with your best friends on a talk-of-the-town resort away from the hustling-bustling city. Yes, we decided to make our 31st (2020) a memorable one specially after what has been a gloomy year cuz of the Pandemic.We wanted to just chill in the room, play some cards over few drinks and more importantly stay away from the crowd. You never know still, who is a Covid carrier. Precisely why we booked the 8 room cluster with a private deck despite of being just 6 couple group, for 2 nights. The room was booked by our friend who is running a travel agency by the name ‘Victoria Travels’. (Voucher No. VT-2020/12/10370).The private deck was suppose to be our den for 31st & 1st where we thought of having our private buffet and party hard and just be US. This is when lightning stuck as we were informed that there will be no room service for both the days. So either we go to the crowded hotel restaurant and eat our meals or get food from outside the hotel and make our self arrangements. Eating at the jam packed hotel restaurant clearly means risking our families to Covid which we couldn’t afford. All of us have played safe for over 9 months not to waste it all over few lousy meals. So we decided to have a word with the hotel management…Here comes the entry of the ‘wise-man’ named Mr. Sabyasachi Chatterji, the hotel manager or whatever. We told him that as we were not informed during payment about the non-availability of room service (we wouldn’t have gone to the hotel if we had known), either he should make some arrangements for our food in the room/deck or should take responsibility in case any of us catch Covid at the crowded restaurant. Surprisingly even our booking agent was told about this sudden change of policy after we had checked-in.This was my very 1st life experience, when a hotel staff raised his voice on his guests and totally refused to find an amicable solution when his guests included mothers and little children… FOR FOOD. Suddenly some generosity transpired in him and he agreed to send some food to our rooms for mothers and children alone. He just wanted to make sure that we are having our last dinner of 2020 in separation with our family.Then came the most interesting part of the drama, Mr. Chatterji asked us for the order. Being a big group of 6 women, 5 children & 2 maids (excluding us men) we told him that we would like them to deliver 4 portions each of Hakka Noodles, Fried Rice & Manchurian. Mr. Wise-mean cum dietician said to our shock that this much food cannot be eaten by our better halves and children. So, he cannot deliver. This is where we lost the plot, shell shocked and in regret why we had chosen this resort to spent our last day of 2020. One usually does not expect this kind of attitude from a rated hotel.Since we had paid a hefty amount to the hotel for our 2 day stay, we decided to source all our food from the nearby Azad Hind Dhaba, forget what happened and what was said & in which manner, we welcomed 2021 with great zest and in hope for a better year.

We booked this place for two nights on 31st December 2020. We booked 9 rooms. When we checked in they told us that there will be no room service available. The restaurant very expensive and tasteless food. There are no staff. We didnt even get housekeeping service and to even get a bottle of water we had to go all the way to reception. The property is very beautiful but there are no people to manage it. They dont even provide glasses or plates to the room. They dont even answer call to the reception. Very disappointed with the approach of the staff. The staff in the hotel was asking to check out early so that they can go home. Sick place to stay. The management needs to change and hire more staff, i will not recommend anyone to stay at this property because of pathetic service majorly.

The service is poor. Occupancy on the internet is shown as full whereas when you reach you find it substantially vacant creating a kind of artificial demand. The resort is expensive and over that they are charging for the games available. Wifi was not working. Shikara is just kept uselessly. ATB bikes are only kept for show. The gutter adjacent to balcony of the room is open and stinking all the time. Even though the resort is vacant, the service guy takes about 30 minutes to come by. Food and stay is not worth the price.

The place is beautiful ,but there is not so much to do if you are planning to relax you can visit this place.I have visited most of the resorts near Kolkata (Ganga Kutir, Vedic Village etc) they are better then Amaya. Food is expensive but not upto the mark I found some of the items not so fresh, Even the spa is expensive then the competitive resorts. Games room need to be upgraded. I have never Experienced a black out in any resort but there was one in this and every room had a light torch 🔦 but it was not working in mine I had to use my Mobile phone flashlight.

I have travelled all over the world. The refrigerator in my room was not working and when I requested for ice I was handed a bill of Rs.400.This is the first time I have seen any place charging for ICE. You are charged heavily for the smallest of services
