The person Abir Chakraborty attended us, tried to sell a lot of products. We just went there to complete KYC for one of the savings account. He said that address verification is needed and he need to visit our house. Aadhar and PAN wont be enough. We read everything on the ICICI portal for account opening. We did it online and just need to complete our KYC at the branch. Nowhere it is mentioned that bank executive will visit your place for verification. We couldnt agree with HIS choice of products and hence had to cancel our account opening process. He was not ready to process our KYC and was giving us strange formalities to complete. We once had a thought of submitting KYC form anyway but after reading other reviews about him here on Google, we changed our minds. Who knows if person like him will ever let the KYC to get processed. People like him is making ICICI loose its customers.I was going through other reviews here and found that I am not the only person who had awful experience with Abir.I am holding ICICI Bank credit card for few years now and is extremely happy with the customer support I got online so far. But the experience at Chandannagar branch with Abir made me feel sorry for ICICI that how he is making the bank loose its face.

This ICICI Bank branch has terrible staffs. One of its Executives, Abir, had approached us for Home Loan and we thought to give it a try since my husbands salary account is there in ICICI (Noida). But since beginning this staff was trying his level best to sell a Term Insurance to us as an attachment with the home loan and we had to really make him understand that our priority would be the home loan and not the term insurance (at that time). However, after a lot of discussion he connected us to the Home Loan Executive, Vivek, whos equally irresponsible and didnt even visit the proposed property or the builder to approve/ evaluate it for our home loan requirement even after taking all our documents and the loan processing fee from us. We kept on requesting both Vivek and Abir to visit the builder (since we took appointments from the builder for this discussion), whos a renowned builder here in Chandannagar, but both of these executives didnt care to visit him for the approval and ultimately we lost our face in front of him. The builder started doubting our loan approval and denied our advance payment to book the flat for us. He thought we wont get a loan and so, asked us to get the loan approval first, from the bank, to book the property. These two staffs spoiled our images in front of the builder, unnecessarily charged us the loan processing fee, in advance, and never got back to us for loan procedure despite knowing my Husbands higher pay scale and pre-approved loan authorisation from the banks side. Terrible experience with this ICICI Branch (Bagbazar) in Chandannagar. Be careful.

Worst experience!I have a salary account in this branch itself, but its created online, so after 5 months it got frozen due to non-submission of KYC documents.I visited the branch and submitted my documents to a person named Abir Chakraborty on Mar 4, 21.But on March 20 when i tried to transact I found that my account was still frozen, soon after my Mysore ICICI accounts handler of my company called me to inform that its still frozen due to non submission of KYC, and that the process only takes 24 hours!!Since then I have contacted Mr Abir in every 1 day interval, he gives some excuses like bank is closed, Mumbai is closed, Chandannagar is closed or some similar issues and kept me waiting.Its sad to know that people like him are putting the image of ICICI down.

Have been a customer of ICICI for 20+ years. But this branch has seriously bad staffs. Beware of this Sanjay guy who will try to sell you an ICICI prudencial insurance claiming a 20% return on INR 2.5 lacs invested every year for 5 years. The gain is at most 6%. Also the policy officials dont know what they are talking about with pathetic customer support. Just use this branch for regular deposits and withdrawals, dont buy any of their stupid products.

Location is superb at Central Chandannagar. Service is very good.
